Romeo POV
I walked out, I needed a run, my head was all over the place. My mother had to go through so much and endure something else. She had to pretend, to turn a blind eye to most everything. She pretended to be happy for my sake, she pretended that my father was a great Alpha, a loving husband, and a great father, when behind doors it was everything but. I wouldn't dare ask my father if he forced himself on her more times than he acknowledged.
Stella's hand tightened on mine, and that made me stop and realize that I was dragging her and that she was trying her best to keep up with me. “I am sorry sweetheart… I think, I need a run, Max and I are super upset…” She stood on her tippy-toes and kissed my cheek.
“I will meet you in our room, we still need to talk to Ashia.” She caressed my face and as soon as she removed her hand, I shifted and ran away.
I ran as f
Eulisses POVIt's been a couple of days since my mother came back and talked to Paige. Paige and I have been having fun, but we have also been getting everything done for the Luna Ceremony. I was in the throne room when the doors burst open with a loud noise, and then my mother walked in with a furious demeanor.Bart and others were there briefing me on the status of our rogue army when my mother yelled “Leave us!” Everybody looked around in a questioning way and I waved my hand lazily dismissing everyone.“Hello, Mother…” I greeted her with a nonchalant tone. After all that, she rudely interrupted my activities.“She knows… I have no idea how, but she knows…” She gritted her teeth and was informing me about something I was supposed to understand with the little information she was providing.“Who knows what, mother?&
Stella POVI have given it deep thought, and I now know what we should do, and I am ready. I just need to let Romeo know about what I am about to do. I sighed and closed the envelopes that I would be sending today for my Luna ceremony. I just hope Romeo won't be angry at my decision, and he will support my plan.In the end, I am an Elemental Wolf. I have practiced with my powers and if I am the one from the prophecy, I could end this thing without bloodshed.I was sitting inside the office while Romeo went to supervise the school and the orphanage renovations. Rose and Corey entered while arguing with each other, as usual. “Oh! Come on, the theme should be the Elements…” Rose said, while Corey looked appalled.“Of course not! That is too cliché. It should be elegant and classy, not flashy.” Corey was almost having a heart attack at Rose's suggestion, and I almost
Stella POVSince I came clean to Romeo about the invitation of Paige and Eulisses, he has been restless, and I understand where he is coming from, but I also need to at least try. I have tried to talk to him about it, but he somehow has closed himself up.I have seen him stressed out, and when we talk about the ceremony instead of feeling him happy about it, dread is what I pick up from our bond, and it tears me apart. At first, when I told him what I had done, he understood, and he was on board, but when I told the rest of our team, they flipped and then Romeo was completely out of it.Everybody, except Rose, was afraid that Eulisses would succeed in taking me, so we had a week of exhausting security meetings, ending up with my mate being completely out of himself.Rose and I went shopping for the ceremony, finding cute dresses for it. Well, cute is not the word, maybe more like stunning red carpet
Romeo POVHearing her through our link was a relief. I can't believe she felt that way. When Corey opened his link to me and I heard their conversation, I froze in my spot, the realization hit me like a ton of bricks. I have been distant with her. At first, I was upset about the invitation to Paige and Eulisses, but before we could clear the air, I was swamped with pack issues and then several rogue attacks happened around neighboring packs, making me anxious to say the least. Then, two days ago, all the Alphas and Lunas arrived and mayhem started. Meeting after meeting, trying to deal with alliances and disputes, along with dealing with increasing security and coping with the fact that tonight they might want to hit and take my Luna away from me. I then decided that I would at least mind-link her and reassure her that I loved her. I felt relief washing over her.I stood up on the stage, which was beautifully decorated,
Romeo POVHe is here, holding a white envelope. I struggled with accepting Stella's decision to invite them, and the fucker decided that he would show up. I was on high alert. Did he come alone? Or was there an army stationed outside the pack borders waiting for his command? I quickly mind-linked Nate to “Please, ask Morgan to check the security perimeter, to find out if this fucker came with others."”On it Alpha,” was his response.I pushed Stella to the back, shielding her with my body, but my stubborn Luna decided to play diplomacy with this bastard. She decided to step forward, and my blood boiled. What the hell is she doing?I mind linked her, “Stella, stay behind me…”. My sassy mate complained,“Hey… don't yell at me, I want to try something, bear with me.” What the fuck? Why is she trying something? We agreed on a pl
Romeo POVHis last remark threw me away. He had called me brother and, deep down within me, it felt nice. I am too proud to acknowledge that out loud, but it struck a chord I didn't know existed. The reality sank in faster than a lightning bolt. I have a brother.I know I found out about him about a week ago, but seeing him face to face, reading the expression in his eyes, which, by the way, are the same as mine and mom's, then when he approached close to me and called me brother, my reality revolved around the fact that it was as if a dream from my childhood had become true.My childhood was not an easy one, and I usually longed to have a sibling to share my time with. I didn't care if it was a boy or a girl, but, of course, being a hyperactive kid, I longed for a brother to do mischief with. That never happened. Instead, the issues between my parents increased, making me cage my feelings deep down. I was a lonely child
Stella POVI had no idea my father could emit that strong aura. I have always grown to believe that he was a very good Beta wolf from Silvercrown Pack. He is very well known for his effectiveness in combat and strategy. Now I am just confused about what is going on. My mother took my hand and I saw my father take control of the situation in an instant. I have always heard stories about him, but it is hard to believe that the man that before my 18th birthday showed me only softness, care and laughter was this strong person. Stronger to make two Supreme Alphas calm down. After a couple of words with Dad, Romeo walked towards me and mom. “Thanks Nadia… Let's go sweetheart.” he took my hand, and we walked out of the hall. I guess the party is over. As soon as we reached Romeo's car, I let out a sigh of relief. Finally, the day was over, and we managed to turn events around in such a way that, without altering the outcome, we m
Romeo POVThe next day, we woke up at noon. I smiled when I saw my beautiful vixen resting in my arms. I was satisfied that I fulfilled my promise to ravish and worship her until we passed out. I moved slowly, trying to untangle myself from her arms. Her eyes fluttered open, I guess I was not that subtle. “Hey, honey…” She mumbled.I tenderly kissed her forehead. “Morning, sleepy head… Well, Good Afternoon,” she smiled at me and stretched her body, the sheet covering her naked body slipped dangerously close to reveal her breasts. I growled and she giggled.“I guess we need to shower and get back to the pack,” she mumbled and I nodded.“Yes, I told Nate that we would be there in 2 more hours. I requested to see your father.” I stood up, kissing her forehead. After showering and dressing, we headed off to the pack house. As soon as we were i
