[Sebastian’s POV]

I stayed with Agatha the whole day inside the former Luna’s chamber. She slept through the day while Nathan was in the Pack company, dealing with the aftermath of the rogue attack.

I heard his officials talk about the losses the pack recently had because of canceled deals. I feel bad for Nathan. If what he said was true, he suffered blow after blow when I left the River Bed Pack two years ago. No wonder he acts like a complete jerk sometimes.

Perhaps I can help him a little with the pack business while we are here. When I go back to Silver Mountain or wherever Agatha wants to settle, Nathan should be stable by then.

But what worries me is not the business deals

[Agatha’s POV]“What do you mean they were missing?” I yelled. I could feel my hair lifting in the air as electricity sparked from my fingertips.I could feel my jaw locked as my eyes burned with the desire to destroy everything they saw.My throat thickened as if I swallowed something that blocked my air pipe, gagging, gasping for air.Nathan stood in silence with his gaze fixed on mine, stunned by my sudden reaction to his words. His Adam’s apple bobbed up and down as he swallowed the embarrassment of losing grip on our common enemies. He took deep breaths, perhaps in an attempt to calm himself.

[Sebastian’s POV]Nathaniel asked the omegas to set up a table on the rooftop of the packhouse, and it looked divine. I have never seen this side of Nate. He meticulously planned this dinner, this much is obvious. They spread green carpets that resembled a lawn, giving the place a natural ambiance. On either side of the entrance, a pile of white porcelain pots with three shades of peace lilies alternately rowed with pillar candles and tea lights stretched up until the foot of the elevated open-air dining table for three. The entire stretch was lighted by overhead fixtures of golden balloons hanging on low lights that looked like stars in the sky.A trellis above the dining table was adorned by a loosely draped thin white fabric with a few white trum

[Agatha’s POV]I was nervous. Somehow, I had conflicting thoughts about Bastien’s question about whether I had said yes to the dinner date. Does he mean date date? Or just a regular dinner date? Should I ask him? Argh!My legs are still trembling. I have never been intimate with Nathan, but my attraction toward him is as much as my attraction toward Bastien. He can’t blame me, though, if I was a little distant from him. I still have doubts about him until now. He was a dominant alpha, but his actions were conflicting.I still recall how affectionate he was a few hours before he threw us to the dungeon. What if this intimacy is just one of his ploys? Will I keep falling victim to his games?

[Sebastian POV]I was startled when I heard a dark laughter not far from where we slept last night. I opened my eyes; it was still dark. Was I dreaming? The space between Nate and I are still warm, but Agatha is no longer there.I looked around instinctively to search for her. When my gaze fell on her figure, I shook Nate vigorously, and when he opened his eyes, I pointed to Agatha, and we both got up at the same time.Agatha confirmed our suspicions by just uttering his name, “Baltazar?” she muttered. Nate and I growled in unison, but before we could reach them, Baltazar had already snatched Agatha by the waist and disappeared deep into the night. As Baltazar's winged figure wi

[Third POV]On the outskirts of River Bed Pack lies an abandoned cottage, but now it was buzzing with activity. Eight cloaked men sat in the living room with Baltazar and Eon. The cottage had four rooms: one shared by Elaine and Laura, another for Agatha, and the rest trying to fit in the remaining two.“Baltazar, when will you cure Laura? You promised me you will gather the men to reverse the curse,” Elaine asked Baltazar reluctantly, trying not to offend him.Baltazar just rolled his eyes on Elaine without responding. Just then, Agatha stepped out of her room.“Ahh, little witch,” Baltazar blurted, sarcasm thick in his tone. He was about to say something else

[Agatha POV]I was pacing inside my room in the cottage. I feel like burning the entire River Bed Pack. I was so furious. I never knew Nathan to be such a jerk. No wonder he is still single, even at his age. No one can stand him. Cruel. Arrogant. Heartless.I returned to the cottage after meeting Nathan. I had to continue pretending that I was affected by the magic Elaine cast on it. I don’t know the extent of the magic; I was not here then, but she said we had to act like a normal family—whatever that meant. Elaine could pass as my mother, and I don’t know who would act like my father.Laura has been tied to her bed and has lost her sanity. Partial magic was cast that day when we attacked the Phoenicia Covenant headquarters. The pentagr

[Agatha’s POV]It has been one week since I arrived. The doctors said Bastien has been showing signs of waking up. I spent my days at the hospital talking to Bastien. I told him I was pregnant, although I hadn’t actually taken a pregnancy test.Luna, or, as she wanted me to call her, Mom, has been pampering me all week. She has sent me fresh fruits and food supplements, and she has assigned me an omega to cater to my every need. I didn’t grow up with a silver spoon. I never needed anyone to assist me, but the last thing I want right now is to offend the very people who treat me like they birthed me. It was a peaceful week, but I know this is temporary. They were all waiting for the guest the former Luna asked her to meet. She was crossing and uncrossing her arms and biting her lips while repeatedly glancing at the door in anticipation of the guests’ arrival or even a knock. Anything that can break her train of thought. Fear that another witch might threaten to take away her newfound peace. Although she trusts Luna Lily, she knows better that witches, in general, can’t be trusted. Her past experiences can attest to that.“Relax, Sweetheart. Why are you so tensed up?” Luna Lily asked Agatha sweetly while tappin

  • The Witch Luna   Epilogue

AgathaIt has been eight years since we started reuniting the supernatural species by building colonies for each kind. But the colonies we built never reached full occupancy. All the mystical creatures prefer their natural environment to concrete boxes. That’s what they call the rooms and buildings in the colony. Nate and Bastien managed to extend the forest line occupied by our little friends by offering the nearby packs hard-to-resist business deals and warrior support in case of war. The River Bed Pack had only gotten stronger and bigger, claiming the Nightwalker Pack when the River Bed defeated them after attacking us using the same strategy that the Black Moon Pack employed thirteen years ago. I never lifted the protection spell in the River Bed Pack. And since our family has gotten bigger, too, I cast the same spell around the Silver Mountain, Black Moon, and Nightwalker Packs. The news of the protection spell spread across territories, and though we don’t plan to launch an atta

  • The Witch Luna   Chapter 98 - Lilith

[Agatha’s POV]I cannot see anything. There’s darkness, silence, and a dreadful feeling that churns my insides. I could feel the goosebumps creeping on my skin, and a sense of discomfort crawled down my spine. Where am I? Why can’t I see anything? Why am I alone? Where’s Mom? Where’s Nate and Bastien? Where are my kids? Aren’t they supposed to be with me? I move my feet forward to search for a light, for a familiar place… The squishing sound was all I could hear with every step. The touch of soft mud swallows my feet up until my ankles. I don’t like where I am right now. I tried to squint my eyes as I scanned my surroundings. But there is nothing but pitch black. I opened my mouth and started calling everyone I knew, one by one. “Mom!”“Nate!”“Bastien!”“Nas!”“Sean!”“Amara!”“Mommy Lily!”“Mommy Gloria!”“Dad!”“Aunt….”“Tsk. tsk. Tsk. You forgot one name, my child,” a female electric voice echoed in the empty space I am in, cutting me off. And I’d be damned if I said I didn’t re

  • The Witch Luna   Chapter 97 - Grand Assembly

[Agatha’s POV]The day has finally come. I was nervous. My hands were sweaty, my stomach was churning, and the tightness in my chest kept coming back repeatedly. I looked around at the open field where all species started filling up from the morning. The colonies my mates built for other species were barely occupied, but we expect a few hundred to arrive anytime within the day. Orpheus volunteered to convince some of his kind, and they might come after sunset, too. Nate built another building without windows, with only two doors on the ground floor and another to the rooftop, designed for the vampire clan. One of the new business deals Bastien signed up for was the River Bed Blood Bank. We compensate humans who donate their blood and distribute blood bags to human hospitals in neighboring packs at a fixed discounted rate. In return, we get to buy the blood near the end of its shelf life at half the price. Some hospitals in other packs are even willing to give them for free just to g

  • The Witch Luna   We're Almost There

Hey guys, We are a few chapters away from completion. And as much as I wanted to make the story longer by adding additional twists and turns, it's already longer than planned. It was initially a 75-ish chapter, but I later realized that some details would be abruptly cut, hence the extension. Anyway, I am beyond grateful to all of you for reading and staying with Agatha until this point. This is my first shot at storytelling, and I need you to be brutal on me in the comment section if you think there are "should-haves" that I overlooked. And I do hope for your support for the coming stories.Warm hugs for all of you,ConQuest

  • The Witch Luna   Chapter 96 - Training and Travels

[Third POV]It’s been five years. Nas and Sean started warrior training at the indoor gym their dad had set up inside the Packhouse, while Amara started using the U9 to practice her magic when she was two years old. The triplets were inseparable. Amara joined the boys at the gym for the combat training, and the boys would practice magic with their sister. On most days, no one gets injured, but sometimes, the boys are unlucky.“What is your schedule this week, baby?” Bastien asked Agatha as he stepped out of the walk-in closet. He wore a custom-made suit that matched Nate’s. Their tailor customized their wardrobe in twinning, just as much as Nas and Sean’s. In the same way, Agatha and Amara often wear identical white sundresses with tiny floral designs, except when Agatha is traveling to the coven or to distant places to meet community leaders of other species. Then, she would wear a simple dress beneath her cloak.“I am staying in for the week. I think I need some rest. Mom also notic

  • The Witch Luna   Chapter 95 - Naming Ceremony

[Agatha POV]It has been a week since I have given birth to our triplets. I walk slowly and easily now with slight discomfort in my stitches. I felt like a kid being supervised by townspeople; I was not allowed to lift anything, not even the babies. I breastfed while sitting or lying down, and there was always someone tailing me once I got on my feet. The alpha floor of the packhouse is full. Bastien’s parents have stayed with us, and we decided that all the grandparents must stay with us on the Alpha floor for fairness' sake. Mommy Lily said they will stay until the naming ceremony is over. I had never heard of the naming ceremony before. Still, since she is the only she-wolf and a former Luna who knew all the formalities and ceremonies in the werewolf community, I trust her judgment on everything pack-related. Not that it’s not important to me because it does, but I wanted my children to experience the best of both worlds. Mom also said that they would give protective gifts to our ch

  • The Witch Luna   Chapter 94 - We Are Parents

[Sebastian’s POV]The C-section procedure took a couple of hours to complete. We reached the hospital just a few minutes after Mommy Glinda, and Agatha arrived. Just in time to sign the consent paper for the operation, they said it would be impossible for Agatha to give natural birth to three children, as it may endanger her life. Two female doctors supervised the operation since Nate didn’t want a male doctor to see our mate naked, so Dr. Tim was out. Although impractical, I understand his possessiveness. Dr. Tim is the Pack doctor; he is the most qualified, and I would turn a blind eye to a male doctor who would operate on our mate if it guaranteed her safety. Thank goddess, Sienna is a specialist in pregnancy and childbirth, and Estella is as equally qualified.Three neonatal cart trolleys lin

  • The Witch Luna   Chapter 93 - Meeting Old Friends

[Agatha POV]“Mom, are you sure this would work?” I asked my mother as I stumped my feet like a small child. I had no doubts about my abilities, but it had been many years since I last summoned the other supernatural species. I don’t even remember it. Most of the stories I knew about summoning fairies, mermaids, elves, and gnomes were other people’s memories; they just told me about it and considered it as my version of the story as well. I was very young to remember, and that’s what has been bothering me right now.“Yes, it will. Where are all these doubts coming from, Agatha?” Mom chastised me. I get it. We have gone a long way to be wary now. Summoning the other species is the first major step in fu

  • The Witch Luna   Chapter 92 - New Pack for River Bed Pack

[Third POV]“Mom, Dad, you have to promise that you will come to River Bed Pack to see our three musketeers,” Agatha pouted like a spoiled child throwing a tantrum over candy. “Oh, sweetheart, we won't miss it for the world,” Lily hugged her tightly, and Herod patted her shoulder before planting a kiss on the crown of her head.Seb approached them to free her mate from her parent’s hold. “Mom, Dad, you are suffocating her! And Mom, how come you don’t call me sweetheart anymore? What will become of me after my children are born,” he said with feigned disappointment. Herod immediately smacked his shoulder blade, “Enough of theatrics, Seb. Where’s your brother? Isn’t he sending you off?” Herod questioned him.
