Oh my, did they just fall right into the trap after all their hard work and preparations? Who's excited to know where they are heading? Let's hear it! Con Quest
[Agatha’s POV]My eyes fluttered. I had to cover my eyes from the blinding light. After three attempts, my vision adjusted to the light, and I managed to open them. I scanned the unfamiliar surroundings. The room looks elegant with its classic color combination of gray and black. Very masculine, except it doesn’t have any windows. There are only two doors. I am assuming one is the entrance, and the other is perhaps a bathroom door. I spotted a small coffee table with two chairs in one corner and a small wooden cabinet with artificial decoration above it in the other corner near the bathroom door. The walls are bare, no decorations, no paintings, nothing. And since there are no windows, it’s logical not to hang any curtains. I shrugged at the weird concept of this roomSuddenly, I remembered being captured in the forest. Perhaps this is Baltazar’s holding room. Is this the Phoenicia Covenant headquarters? Why was no one guarding me? I started worrying about my boys. They were taken bef
Nico and his five elite warriors were sitting in an expansive holding cell. Surprisingly, it was not a typical dungeon most werewolves were familiar with. Each of their feet was shackled with silver attached to the floor, and their hands were tied with silver cuffs against the wall. Other rogues were in the next holding cell with both hands cuffed with silver attached to the walls and silver ankle shackles with metal balls. All of them are unconscious, each with open wounds around their wrists and burned ankles. Their wolves retreated due to the silver cuffs restraining them. It reeks of urine, blood, and feces despite the clean white walls and tiled flooring. The clicking sound of keys unlocking the metal door broke the silence in the holding cell. Some guards came with a bucket of water. “Pour the water on that one in the corner,” the man instructed one of the guards. The loud sound of water splashing followed by a loud gasp awakened the remaining rogues. Their faces, arms, and t
Nico immediately snapped the man’s head to silence him. They are still weak from beating and silver cuffs. Being discovered means they have to fight to their death. “Amon, Dex, Ray, Hans, Lester, wear hand gloves, grab pistol and silver bullets or any weapon you can use,” he barked orders and instructed the remaining boys to do the same.Nico sneaked through the door with Amon, Hans, Lester, and five of their men while the rest remained. They carried silver knives and silver powder strapped to their belts before navigating the building. As they crossed the opposite door, Nico decided to go down the stairs to search for Agatha. He tried to open the door to each floor they descended to, but they were locked from inside, so they had no choice but to continue downward. The staircase was cold and dark. No sound came from up or anywhere else, making their descent eerily quiet. As they reached the bottom level of the building, Nico could hear a faint chatter from some distance. He position
[Sebastian’s POV]It’s been a week since our border patrol killed eight and wounded four of Nico’s rogues. I don’t know their names, but I recognize two of them as elites. I visit them every day in the infirmary to know if they have awoken. They sustained a heavy blow from our border patrol. What surprises me the most is the weapons our warriors retrieve from them. It has the emblem of the River Bed Pack. Did they attack the pack? Did they kill River Bed Pack’s warriors? Is that the reason why they were wounded when our fighters found them? Too many questions remain unanswered as we await for them to regain consciousness. I just returned from the human world a few weeks ago. I took my parent’s advice to be romantically involved with Lou. We traveled to the Metro. I worked as an analyst in a foreign company and took Louisa with me. We stayed in the same apartment and lived a modest lifestyle. She was trying so hard to get close to me. I have to admit that she is affectionate and ge
I tried to make it right for Nico's remaining team members. After much pleading, I convinced Aleck to accommodate them in the roster of pack warriors. They are good fighters. I saw them train, but in the end, they refused the offer. I gave them two mobile phones with a year's worth of access to a network and the internet. I promised to help them with whatever I could if they were in a tight situation and they agreed, but I don’t think they will ask me for help. They’re too broken to lose what they regard as family. It’s heartbreaking to see the guilt and sadness in their eyes, guilt for surviving while others did not. They almost declined the pocket money I gave them before leaving the pack. They need money to survive. It is unwise to be seen near any pack border again. I told them to go to a place with a high human population to cool down while waiting for Nico and Agatha. I don’t know what’s running through their heads, but I can't force them to trust the Alpha whose warriors massa
[Third POV]Trix arranged the checkout procedures for Sebastian and took him to the pack house of River Bed Pack. She instructed the driver to hide Seb’s car inside the Alpha’s garage and cover it with a thick tarp to hide the emblem of Silver Mountain Pack from prying eyes. Sebastian refused to enter the packhouse. Too many memories are etched into his mind about the pack house. “Trix, let’s get this over with, can you tell Nathan to come or do I have to go to his office in the next building?” “It’s Alpha Nathaniel to you, Sebastian. Know your place!” she scolded him.Shock was written all over his face. Trix never talked to him rudely before unless they were convinced that Sebastian was the one who sent the rogues to infiltrate the pack. He cannot accept this treatment from a lowly warrior. His wolf is furious and wants to take over. “How dare you talk to me in that manner Trix? I am an Alpha, I am not your prisoner!” he growls.Trix rolled her eyes and scoffed, “No?” She pointe
[Sebastian POV]Two warriors dragged me to the elevator while two others followed us behind. They restricted my hands with silver cuffs. This is the most degrading treatment an Alpha can get from his mate. Six retreated at the back of my head once the silver cuffs touched my skin, he was hurt. He was not angry but disappointed. I remember the deep wounds on Dex’s and other guys’ wrists. This silver is so thick with some spikes touching the skin. There is no way a skin will remain intact with the friction it creates from the slightest movement. I developed some immunity to the silver in the past two years, all thanks to the rope with silver needles Nico and his men used to restrict me. I don’t know how but the effect of silver on my skin, though it stings, does not cause a lasting effect, even my wolf can ignore his discomfort for the contact. Not unless a liquid silver is pumped directly into my system, then Six should be fine. One of the warriors pressed the elevator button that r
[Agatha POV]My emotions are all over the place. I am worried for Nico and the guys. Those cloaked men took them before me, but I don’t know where they took them. I feel like I need to run away and flee from this place, wherever this is. The feeling of dread and apocalypse is looming over my entire body. I am stuck in the void, detached from the world. Not that I have many friends or family to miss me, but not like this. They took away the tiniest freedom I had. Now I’m like a caged pig getting readied for slaughter by eating and sleeping. Although the slaughter is inevitable, at least the pig is never alone during its final days. Why do I have to be the prophesied witch? I understand we cannot choose the family, relatives, and ancestors we are born into, but why do I have a feeling that we don’t have a choice over our lives at all? There was a prophecy about me hundreds of years before I was born, and now I am mated to two werewolves. No free will for me?I don’t believe in fate or
AgathaIt has been eight years since we started reuniting the supernatural species by building colonies for each kind. But the colonies we built never reached full occupancy. All the mystical creatures prefer their natural environment to concrete boxes. That’s what they call the rooms and buildings in the colony.Nate and Bastien managed to extend the forest line occupied by our little friends by offering the nearby packs hard-to-resist business deals and warrior support in case of war. The River Bed Pack had only gotten stronger and bigger, claiming the Nightwalker Pack when the River Bed defeated them after attacking us using the same strategy that the Black Moon Pack employed thirteen years ago. I never lifted the protection spell in the River Bed Pack. And since our family has gotten bigger, too, I cast
[Agatha’s POV]I cannot see anything. There’s darkness, silence, and a dreadful feeling that churns my insides. I could feel the goosebumps creeping on my skin, and a sense of discomfort crawled down my spine.Where am I? Why can’t I see anything? Why am I alone? Where’s Mom? Where’s Nate and Bastien? Where are my kids? Aren’t they supposed to be with me? I move my feet forward to search for a light, for a familiar place… The squishing sound was all I could hear with every step. The touch of soft mud swallows my feet up until my ankles. I don’t like where I am right now. I tried to squint my eyes as I scanned my surroundings. But there is nothing but pitch black.I opened my mouth and started calling
[Agatha’s POV]The day has finally come.I was nervous. My hands were sweaty, my stomach was churning, and the tightness in my chest kept coming back repeatedly. I looked around at the open field where all species started filling up from the morning. The colonies my mates built for other species were barely occupied, but we expect a few hundred to arrive anytime within the day.Orpheus volunteered to convince some of his kind, and they might come after sunset, too. Nate built another building without windows, with only two doors on the ground floor and another to the rooftop, designed for the vampire clan. One of the new business deals Bastien signed up for was the River Bed Blo
Hey guys, We are a few chapters away from completion. And as much as I wanted to make the story longer by adding additional twists and turns, it's already longer than planned. It was initially a 75-ish chapter, but I later realized that some details would be abruptly cut, hence the extension. Anyway, I am beyond grateful for reading and staying with Agatha until this point. This is my first shot at storytelling, and I need you to be brutal on me in the comment section if you think there are "should-haves" that I overlooked. And I do hope for your support for the coming stories.Warm hugs for all of you,Con Ques
[Third POV]It’s been five years.Nas and Sean started warrior training at the indoor gym their dad had set up inside the Packhouse, while Amara started using the U9 to practice her magic when she was two years old. The triplets were inseparable. Amara joined the boys at the gym for the combat training, and the boys would practice magic with their sister. On most days, no one gets injured, but sometimes, the boys are unlucky.“What is your schedule this week, baby?” Bastien asked Agatha as he stepped out of the walk-in closet. He wore a custom-made suit that matched Nate’s. Their tailor customized their wardrobe in twinning, just as much as Nas and Sean’s. In the same way, Agatha and Amara often wear identical white sundresse
[Agatha POV]It has been a week since I have given birth to our triplets. I walk slowly and easily now with slight discomfort in my stitches. I felt like a kid being supervised by townspeople; I was not allowed to lift anything, not even the babies. I breastfed while sitting or lying down, and there was always someone tailing me once I got on my feet. The alpha floor of the packhouse is full. Bastien’s parents have stayed with us, and we decided that all the grandparents must stay with us on the Alpha floor for fairness' sake. Mommy Lily said they will stay until the naming ceremony is over. I had never heard of the naming ceremony before. Still, since she is the only she-wolf and a former Luna who knew all the formalities and ceremonies in the werewolf community, I trust her judgment on everything pack-related. Not that it’s not important to me because it does, but
[Sebastian’s POV]The C-section procedure took a couple of hours to complete. We reached the hospital just a few minutes after Mommy Glinda, and Agatha arrived. Just in time to sign the consent paper for the operation, they said it would be impossible for Agatha to give natural birth to three children, as it may endanger her life. Two female doctors supervised the operation since Nate didn’t want a male doctor to see our mate naked, so Dr. Tim was out. Although impractical, I understand his possessiveness. Dr. Tim is the Pack doctor; he is the most qualified, and I would turn a blind eye to a male doctor who would operate on our mate if it guaranteed her safety. Thank goddess, Sienna is a specialist in pregnancy and childbirth, and Estella is as equally qualified.Three neonatal cart trolleys lin
[Agatha POV]“Mom, are you sure this would work?” I asked my mother as I stumped my feet like a small child. I had no doubts about my abilities, but it had been many years since I last summoned the other supernatural species. I don’t even remember it. Most of the stories I knew about summoning fairies, mermaids, elves, and gnomes were other people’s memories; they just told me about it and considered it as my version of the story as well. I was very young to remember, and that’s what has been bothering me right now.“Yes, it will. Where are all these doubts coming from, Agatha?” Mom chastised me. I get it. We have gone a long way to be wary now. Summoning the other species is the first major step in fu
[Third POV]“Mom, Dad, you have to promise that you will come to River Bed Pack to see our three musketeers,” Agatha pouted like a spoiled child throwing a tantrum over candy. “Oh, sweetheart, we won't miss it for the world,” Lily hugged her tightly, and Herod patted her shoulder before planting a kiss on the crown of her head.Seb approached them to free her mate from her parent’s hold. “Mom, Dad, you are suffocating her! And Mom, how come you don’t call me sweetheart anymore? What will become of me after my children are born,” he said with feigned disappointment. Herod immediately smacked his shoulder blade, “Enough of theatrics, Seb. Where’s your brother? Isn’t he sending you off?” Herod questioned him.
