So this was it. I was dying. This was my story!

Before it could even start it ended. An ending caused by my foolishness and carelessness. An ending I brought upon myself which only added on to Asher’s misery.

I couldn’t move, could not feel anything. I just felt cold, extremely cold. Derek pulled back.

“That was the best I have ever had,”

He pulled his hands back from me and I fell on this floor.

All the time my eyes were on Asher. He broke free from them, or maybe they let him go.

All I know was that he hugged me in his arms as he sat on the ground, picking me in his arms.

“No, no, no” he cried, “Aurelia,” for the first time…and the last… I saw Asher Zane shed tears.

It broke me.

Even on the brink of death, seeing him cry because of me, complexly broke me.

I love you Asher. I love you and I’m sorry I was unable to tell you this sooner. So many things left unsaid…I’m so sorry.

His warm hand cupped my cheeks, “Stay with me Aurelia, stay with me,” he kissed my forehead.

That brought me

Vampires and werewolves had always been locked in a perpetual state of war. A white wolf was born, marked with a distinctive white crescent on its chest. Remarkably, it wasn't an isolated event; soon, several packs reported the birth of similar white-crescent wolves. These wolves were not only distinguished by their unique mark but also by the extraordinary gifts they possessed. These wolves were immune to vampire venom and could extract it from other werewolves, rendering them nearly invincible in battle. Their second gift was even more formidable: they had the power to compel submission from anyone who dared to meet their gaze. Their deep crystal-blue eyes could paralyze an opponent with fear if looked into for more than three seconds.Initially, it was thought to be a curse, but it soon

Everything had fallen apart. I felt incomplete. Empty! I knew I had changed yet I didn’t know what actually did change. I was most certainly going through anger issues. Everything was going slow yet so fast at the same time. Three months had gone by since father passed away yet it felt like years. I started getting these strange feelings. Different. That’s how I felt. I felt different from the people around me, I could somehow sense it. Ever since father left, that crescent mark on my chest started to hurt. There is something greatly odd about that mark. I used to ask father about it all the time. “It’s a birthmark. You were born with it Aura” he used to tell me. It’s not like I don’t trust him. I trust him blindly. I believe what he said was true but I just don’t really think a white crescent moon on my heart is a birthmark. If he told me it was a tattoo that would be more believable. I was born with it? Sure. But a birthmark? I

Studies weren’t really hard for me. I had a sharp brain and I was good in getting grades. There was too much free time on my hand. Despite doing all my homework and extra studying, playing with the boys, walking the dogs and all I still had a lot of free time on my hand. I just had to do something to keep myself busy and so I went on a search spree looking for jobs. Surprisingly, I got a call three days later. Guess what? I was hired a receptionist at Lavender and Honey Espresso Bar. With this good news I ran downstairs to inform Aunt Cindy about it. “I got a job” I squeaked and jumped. “Oh my goodness, that’s awesome Aury. Where?” she asked, giving me her full attention. The boys were gaming but they were still listening. “Lavender and Honey Espresso Bar” I cracked a smile. “When do you start?” “Monday. Day after tomorrow” Her eyes were opened wide with excitement and she gave me a tight warming hug. “So,” Jami

Her lips were soft and plum. She kissed me hard and I wanted to make her mine. “Asher” she moaned. “You’re mine” I whispered against her lips. “Always” she whispered back. A fierce knock on my door woke me up. Sweat covered my forehead. It was her! Why am I dreaming of her? The door banged again. I frowned in anger. “What?” I shouted. I was so worked up I didn’t realize I had spent the night sleeping on the couch. “Alpha! Derek and his companions have approached our borders” It was Gray. Immediately, I got up and rubbed my face. He’s here! “How many vampires?” I asked as I rushed out. Gray walked with me, matching my speed. “Twelve” I was expecting him to come but not so soon. What’s he going to do? Why would he bring only twelve vampires with him? He would be foolish to attack. My warriors are stronger. One bite to their neck and they are gone. No, he’s here to talk. H

A week passed by, I was having a great time working at the bar. It was tiring, sure, yes, but it felt good. It helped me sleep better at night so I considered it a big achievement. I locked up at night and came out to throw the trash. The sky was clear and the air was fresh. I took a deep breath and started walking home while playing music through my earphones. The streets were emptier than usual. Maybe it was Wednesday! I don’t know. I started crossing the street when I nearly tripped. My laces were opened. I bent down to tie them and that’s when I felt a little beam of light on myself. It wasn’t long before I heard to vicious honking of the car. My head shot up and I quickly got up to get out of the way from the speeding car. Bad luck! My laces weren’t tied yet and due to the sudden rush I tripped real bad and fell on the ground roughly. The car screeched and turned away. It didn’t hit me and neither was the car damaged in any way. Stopping a few feet away

Taking a deep breath I twisted the door knob of my room and entered. My eyes caught her by the window, one of her hands were handcuffed by the window. She watched me with weary eyes as I unbuttoned my top buttons.“You have a weird name” she spoke, unexpectedly. “Alpha? It’s a funny name,” she mocked, a soft laugh escaped her mouth.“Well I’ve never heard the name Aurelia before,” while saying her name I thought to myself, it has a nice sound to it.“Its way better than Alpha,” she rolled her eyes.I smirked at her. Her eyes were hazel with shades of green. Her features were sharp and prominent. Her height was average it balanced out with her figure. She was slim and smart. Her nose was sharp and straight and flawlessly lined lips that begged to be tasted. Everything about her was perfect. She licked her dry lips and turned her gaze away. I didn’t realize I was star

I avoided looking at him even though I knew he was watching me carefully. What is this? I’m kidnapped by this guy yet I’m feeling things for him. What is wrong with me?Getting frustrated by myself, I scoffed.“What?’ he asked.I wanted to change the subject so I asked him about my phone, my voice snapping at him. “Is my phone still with you?”“Ah yes, it’s still with me,” he rubbed his thumb against his nose before continuing, “Would you like to ask anything else?”“Yes, Maya said that I’m your possession?” I made sure to emphasize on ‘possession.’“And?” he seemed baffled.I didn’t get a chance to continue as the door flew open and in came a squeaky voice, “Asher”Asher.A lean willowy girl cat walked her way to him and kissed him roughly against his lips. Derek’s POV: Wearing my black shirt I left the room, shirt left unbuttoned as I walked through the empty hallways of the Palace. I had to meet the King. It was time we went forth with the plan. “What’s the hurry Derek?” King Luther slurred as he drank from the sixth human who lay topless on the table. The rest were lifelessly settled on the floor. King Luther wasn’t a fat grumpy King, no, he was smart and handsome even being six hundred years old. No spark was lost. That’s the beauty of a Vampire. Flawless beauty unlike those furry stinky animals! “It has to be done now,” “But you just paid them a visit,” he pointed out. “It’s almost a week now. They won’t be expecting a visit anytime soon which it makes it perfect. I’ll be extra discreet,” I smiled. He laughed and held a napkin in his hand. “Go, take whoever you need,” he wiped the blood that ran down his chin. I gave him a nod and left. I had to pay Lisa a visit first. Entering her room, I scanned it but she wasn’t there. An

Now with this new truth about me, a lot of questions were answered but I was still figuring out a way to tell Asher. How can I just drop the bomb on him? As absurd as it sounds it also seems impossible. There has to be a way in which I could prove it to him. Since he, or anyone for that matter, can’t see my mark, it only adds complication. It was understandable why Rufus was not in the favor of me just blubbering it all out to Asher. As much as I wanted to, I couldn’t. I could not go up to him and tell him that I was the last of the White Crescents, the royal pack which was wiped out thousands of years ago.Guess it would have to wait till I can train my body enough to bring out my wolf!It was mid-February so the land was covered in snow. As I breathed near the window mist formed on the glass. I traced out with my index finger, W, O, L, F.What would she be like? I know all White Crescents have white wolves with blue eyes. How big would she be? She has to be a ‘she’ right; I mean obv

Calming my rapid heartbeat, I prepared myself to have conversation with the purple eyed man. I had been thinking about conversing with him ever since our last interrupted chat in the bathroom yesterday. The reason why I was so edgy was unknown to me. He wasn’t an enemy, I was sure of that. In fact something was awfully familiar about him. He seemed like someone who would know answers about the white crescent mark I was on my chest. He said I wasn’t someone ordinary. What am I? Ah. It is exactly why I am being edgy. The horror of finding out who I am. Asher had gone out to patrol the borders. Everyone was busy after the recent attack. On guard! We had suffered a lot of casualties, many lives were lost and not just of our pack army, many people of the settlement also died, women and children. It was devastating to have witnessed them getting murdered in front of my very own eyes. I shook my thoughts and took a deep breath. As soon as I imagined those purple enigmatic eyes, I fel

Cold wind greeted my face as I ran in the white forest. It was freezing but I was only dressed in a white long frock, my hair hung loose over my shoulders. I wasn’t cold though, I was all warmed up. I knew that warmth. That emotion! Oh I knew it all too well. I was in heat. Turning around, my eyes searched the area hoping to find him but he was nowhere. With a rapid heartbeat I pressed my back against a tree and took slow breaths to relieve myself from my tortuous pain. I closed my eyes to think of something, anything that would get my mind off him. “Trying to hide from me?” his voice caught me off guard, my eyes sapped open. He was standing in front of me, amazement dancing no his face. “It’s funny how you think it would work, especially, when you’re aroused,” he whispered in my ear. “Don’t tease me Asher,” I whined, “You always do, it’s…it’s embarrassing,” He chuckled and apologized, “I just like to see you blush,” He started kissing me, his hands roaming over my body.

Derek’s POV: She lay beside me as her sleek arms wrapped around my naked chest. Both of us enveloped in our chain of thoughts lay still after hours of love making. “I don’t understand how father can even think that the Werewolf King will agree to marry me. Especially when he’s found his mate,” We have our ways and she knows it but it was pointless to answer so I stayed quiet. She did have a point. Hypothetically, even if he did agree, their marriage would be the definition of a failure. It was one story if they fell in love and married and blah blah but forcing them into marriage was plain out stupid. Does the King have something else in mind that he isn’t telling me? Is he plotting something behind my back? “He’ll be a prisoner here Lisa. He would be under your control completely. Use him…for whatever needs you have. I heard wolves are some hot creatures to have sex with,” I snuggled in her neck. She hummed and chuckled. “Heard or experienced?” she looked at me questioningly, “

Asher’s POV:Shutting the bedroom door, I stood outside for a minute to calm my crazy heartbeat. It’s funny how the mate bond can make you act. We were in the middle of a crisis, attacked by the Vampires, Aurelia was almost abducted by Derek, lots of my people were killed, brutally, we just got to know that Sabine has wolfsbane running in her blood, Jacob almost died. It’s a disaster! But I’m here. Standing outside my own room, battling my desires, my lust and my wolf so that I don’t take my mates honor when she’s in a drugged state. She is in her senses, Asher. Axel argued and I rolled my eyes.Stop being selfish Axel, she has been drugged. She may be in her senses but her body is reacting because of the substance that’s in her body. I’ll mate with her when she tells me, when she’s ready…and not given some sex drug. Pushing myself away I walked a

“Kill him!”“What? NO!” I tried to push past him but he grabbed my waist and pressed himself against me making me gasp. What the fuck? I almost moaned?!?!“Don’t worry, darling, while they dispose of him, I’ll give you the honor of feeling pure bliss,” he smiled. From behind him, I saw Jarvis making a run at him but before he could take even a leap, he was caught by three vampires, one landed on him gripping his neck into a fierce grip; one stood in front of him, hands on her hips as the third one bit his arm. Jarvis let out a howl, he was in pain. He was in so much pain and I didn’t realize I was shedding tears. “Please stop,” I begged Derek, I begged him like the weak pathetic and helpless human I am.“Shh,” he grabbed my face, cupping my cheeks and cooed as if I were a baby, “Don’t look at him, focus on me,”“Why are you doing this?” I mat

“Calm down Aurelia,” it said again. I shrieked, nearly tripping over the coffee table. Turning my head around, I stood frozen to the ground as I watched the purple eyes staring right back at me from the mirror. With a quick twist I looked behind me only to see nothing but when I saw back in the mirror they were still there. That tall lean man with a black hood hiding his face, nothing but the dark glow of his purple eyes was visible, a purplish black cloak wrapped around his body as he held onto a wooden stick, a purple gem placed at its head. A dark powerful aura surrounded him, something about him was sinister and that is why I always felt afraid when his eyes were on me. “What, what do you want from me?” my voice shook. “I want you to not be afraid,” he instructed and I took a big gulp. “Who are you?” I asked again. “I’m not here to hurt you Aurelia,” he assured. “How do you know me?” I asked hoping he might respond with a clear answer. A smile, a faint smile spread through h
