"How long has it been since you last came to my place?" I asked, offering her the cup of coffee.

"That's not the important part right now." She took the cup and pulled her hoodie to cover the naked part of her hand. "Thank you." she added as an afterthought.

I settled myself on the couch across from her. My eyes studied her face. She had heavy bags and dark circles under her eyes. Her face was puffy. Her beautiful eyes were slightly red.

"Gucci." She stated plainly.

"What?"

"The bags under my eyes,I got them from Gucci."

"Um…wow. That's great."

"Expensive."

"Yes! Very expensive." I agreed while nodding.

She put the glass on top of the table. "I need to ask you something."

I scratched the tip of my nose. "Go ahead."

She already looked rough so I was not planning on adding more to whatever she was carrying.

"God,Aria. We already buried your mom." I did the sign of the cross. "May her soul rest in peace."
