Though it hurts knowing Gunner slept with her even after meeting me, Allison is right. We need to have a conversation first, but I can’t let her win. A noise at the entrance of the green house catches our attention and we find Gunner standing there. Are those tears in his eyes?

“I’ll leave you to it then,” says Allison as she walks towards the exit. “You fuck this up Gunner and I swear I will fry your ass.”

I am shocked Allison said what she said and walked away unscathed. He just nods his head as she walks past him. I remain seated on a bench and we just stare at each other for what seems like an eternity, neither one of us willing to speak first.

“Do you mind if I come in,” he asks finally breaking the silence.

“This is your pack, you don’t require my permission.”
