Chapter 10 Mia’s Shock

Mia led Lucas along, feeling a little uneasy at heart.

“Sir, why is it that no matter how I look at you, you only seem to be a Level 3 Awakened One?”

Mia looked carefully at Lucas. Although she was a Level 7 Awakened One, she somehow felt there was some unfathomable depth to Lucas.

Such as that Rank 1 Zombie. She did not know where that Rank 1 Zombie went, but when she thought of that Rank 1 Zombie, she could not help feeling some delayed fear.

That Rank 1 Zombie had been like an iron tower, pressing her to the point that she was nearly breathless.

“That’s right. I’m only a Level 3 Awakened One.” Lucas nodded.

“Then why would you insist on going to East District?” Mia stared at Lucas, stunned.

Lucas did not answer. He wanted to keep the suspense and did not want to reveal it now.

Seeing that Lucas did not answer, Mia could only sigh inwardly. It had not been easy to escape East District. If she went back again, it would be hard to guard her life.

“Sir, East District is right ahead.”

Mia pointed to the front, where a run-down city was.

Lucas evaluated East District. Sure enough, it was more tattered than before. He thought there must be many zombies here.

Thinking that there were many zombies, Lucas was a little joyful. As long as there were many zombies, he could then wildly fuse them together.

Seeing the smile on Lucas’s face, Mia was startled. Why was he still able to smile when they had reached hell’s gates?

“Let’s enter East District,” said Lucas slowly.

Mia nodded, and then the two of them entered East District.

When Lucas reached East District, there were zombies moving all around.

He thought that Mia was indeed right. There were truly many zombies in the East District.

“Sir, there are zombies coming toward us.”

Mia said in alarm as she pointed ahead!

“Awoo! Awoo!”

Lucas noticed more than thirty zombies dashing over, and he smiled.

“Don’t do anything!” Lucas said as he looked at Mia.

Lucas thought that since Mia was a high-level Awakened One, if she killed a few of these zombies thoughtlessly, that would not be worth the loss.

“Come on out.”

Lucas let Biggy out.

“Make these zombies obey me.”

After the order was given, Biggy dashed toward the 30+ zombies.

Biggy was currently a Rank 1 Zombie. Adding the fact that he still retained his earlier abilities, his strength was terrifying.

How could these thirty or so zombies block Biggy? They were pummeled to the ground by Biggy in an instant.

Mia was like a carved figurine, frozen in her place. As she thought, this Rank 1 Zombie really was Lucas’s man.

Lucas did not mind Mia’s shock. He started fusing these more than thirty zombies.

One male zombie… One male zombie.

One female zombie… One female Zombie.

All thirty-plus zombies were Level 1 Zombies.

Lucas fused these thirty-plus zombies into one male Level 5 Zombie and one female Level 5 Zombie.

Lucas was not very satisfied. He hoped he could encounter another wave of zombies.

“Sir, how could more than thirty zombies become two? And their levels have risen too.”

Mia finally gathered the courage to ask the question she wanted to.

“This is my purpose of coming to East District,” Lucas said slowly with a smile.

Beep beep beep!

Just then, Mia’s communication watch sounded.

As its name suggested, the communication watch was used to communicate. Unlike phones, what the communication watch used was energy and did not need to be charged.

Mia pressed a button, and a virtual screen soon appeared before her.

A very beautiful woman appeared on the virtual screen.

“Mia, are you at East District? Why can’t I contact the others?”

“Miss, I…”

“Don’t say anymore. Send the coordinates over. We’ll come find you.”
