Chapter 17 Ms. Maren and the Scorpion Guardian

Lucas York continued inward. Suddenly, he heard the sounds of combat.

“It doesn’t sound like zombies fighting, it’s…humans?”

Light glinted across Lucas’ gaze. It must be Mia Yard’s teacher and White Lotus’ Scorpion Guardian.

According to Claud Cheswick, the Scorpion Guardian was a Rank 3 Evolved One, he must be terrifyingly strong.

He quickly walked toward the source of the sounds and found that countless zombies were surrounding two people.

There were a man and a woman. An intense aura of evil emanated from the man's scrawny figure, and there were scorpion tattoos on his face.

Lucas knew that this man must be the Scorpion Guardian from White Lotus.

The other person was Mia’s teacher, Ms. Maren. Ms. Maren looked to be in her early twenties. However, she was already a Rank 3 Evolved One. Her prodigal strength was terrifying.

At that moment, the Scorpion Guardian and Ms. Maren were butchering the zombies that surrounded them. There were so many zombies, there must have been more than a thousand of them.

Lucas thought that he might have underestimated the heroes of this world. Ms. Maren was a prodigy.

He glanced over to the Scorpion Guardian. He had Grade A Gene.

Lucas smiled coldly. Even though the Scorpion Guardian and Ms. Maren’s strengths were far beyond his reach, he still decided to do something big.

He released Biggy, the Four Heavenly Knights, and his male and female zombies.

What he wanted to do was to draw the attention of the zombies surrounding the Scorpion Guardian and Ms. Maren and fuse them.

After commanding the male and female zombies on what to do, they rushed forward wildly.

Even though ordinary zombies did not possess intellect, but if there were zombies of the same kind that were stronger, they would naturally follow their lead.

Soon, a thousand or so zombies had been drawn over.

The scene stunned the Scorpion Guardian and Ms. Maren.

Lucas grinned. With this many zombies, he would be able to fuse Rank 1 male and female zombies.

“Since the zombies have fled, we should continue where we left off!” The Scorpion Guardian said to Ms. Maren with a sneer.

“Let’s continue then, or are you afraid that you won’t succeed?” Ms. Maren replied nonchalantly.

In an instant, the Scorpion Guardian and Ms. Maren continued fighting.

When Lucas saw that, he stopped worrying.

Countless zombies had been drawn to him. Lucas commanded for these zombies to be dealt with.

Biggy, the Four Heavenly Kings, and his male and female zombies began taking action.

Lucas started to fuse the zombies madly within the fusion boxes in his mind.

To his surprise, there were more than 2000 zombies in this wave.

He managed to fuse a Rank 1 male zombie and a Rank 1 female zombie.

Perfect!

Without any hesitation, he fused the Rank 1 male zombie with Biggy.

“Confirm fuse?”

“Confirm.”

“Congratulations, host, you have fused a Rank 2 male zombie. You’ve obtained a Super Treasure Chest.”

Lucas smiled. Now, Biggy was a Rank 2 zombie and he had obtained a Super Treasure Chest. He wondered what it contained.

He opened the Super Treasure Chest:

"Obtained 50 Gene Points, 50 Strength Points, 50 Speed Points, and 50 Defense Points."

“Obtained a zombie exclusive skill, Earth-Shattering Fists.”

“Obtained an Exclusive Zombie Skill, Wind, Rain, Thunder, and Lightning.”
