Chapter 2 Newly turned Hybrids

'Ethereal' is the word I can use to describe this moment, her golden eyes penetrated mine and then I heard her say, "Mate!".

Damn why do I suddenly feel strange, I can feel a warm energy coursing through my veins like never before. All the pain I was feeling slowly faded, it was like I was brought back to life.

I then noticed all the gruesome wounds were no more.

"What exactly are you?!". I heard her ask again.

"Thank you...". I said Instead of answering her question. I then tried to sit up so I could get a better view of her.

I closed my eyes for a bit and opened them back, it's not a dream she's still here. She is the most beautiful Wolf I have ever seen in my entire existence.

Her white fur was just like porcelain jade dazzling under the moonlight, her golden eyes adorned her fur screaming Goddess. She just has to be the embodiment of the Goddess of the moon Selene.

I couldn't control myself again as I stretched my hands forward, and she carefully moved closer and lowered her head.

I stroked her soft fur continuously before asking, "Tell me, what is your name?".

The minute I felt his hands stroke my head, I couldn't help shudder, "Can you understand me?". I had to ask.

He nodded his head with a smile and said, "Yes I can, so tell me what's your name dear friend?".

'Friend?, How am I his friend!! I'm his mate for Goodness sake', Lena screamed internally and I agreed with her. "Se_". I wanted to tell him my name but then, a red firework suddenly exploded in the sky.

"Father.... Oh no". Realization dawned upon me, something serious must have happened... I have to go back now.

Seeing no wound on him, I slowly took a step back and said, "We shall meet again dear Mate". I made sure I emphasized the word 'MATE' before I left.

"Wait!!!!", I tried to stop her but she ran faster than I could catch up, "Se?... What a strange name". I couldn't help but murmur. "Oh right, why does she keep saying Mate?, Am I her mate?, Impossible?!!.

"Tonight has surely been long.... Oh damn Emelia, She must be worried sick, I better get going". I said and helped myself up, it was then I noticed the shreds of bloody flesh which obviously belonged to the black wolves.

I couldn't help but chuckle in amusement, "She's pretty fierce!". Her golden orbs flashed through my head and I couldn't help but smile, "Dear friend, I really hope we meet again ". I said as I looked at the moon which was hiding behind dark clouds. With a calm heart I went back to the Vampire empire.

"Princess! Where have you been? The Alpha has been worried sick!". I heard Uncle Jake lament the moment he saw me.

Uncle Jake is my father's beta, and the only trustworthy elder in this park, the rest are just greedy loafers.

[Is everything okay?]. I asked using the Mind link.

"Not really princess___". He said but then a harsh voice suddenly cut off our conversation.

[To the Council hall now!]. My Dad said with all urgency through the Mind link.

I didn't bother changing back to my human form since it was urgent, so I immediately headed for the Council hall and barged in without thinking twice.

To my surprise, All the elders and allies were all gathered with my Father the Alpha also present. Then all turned to me and scrutinized me with their eagle eyes.

"Where on earth have you been!!!!". My Dad suddenly roared.

[Apologies Father], I replied through the Mind link.

"What insolence!! Princess, you are the next ruler how can you be so irresponsible!". I heard the First elder shout.

"That's right, you are being to playful princess!!". The seventh elder commented.

I couldn't help but get pissed at all their comments. In rage I glared at all of them, I'm sure they got the warning because they kept their mouth shut that instant.

"Selene, go change back". My dad said. I then turned and headed straight for my quarters.

"My lady, you are back". My personal maid, Ruby exclaimed.

The minute I reached inside, I transformed to my human form, "Yes, tell me what's happening?".

She quickly rushed to my side and started dressing me, 'My lady, I heard them say we are being secretly ambushed ".

After putting on a simple top and pants, I turned to her, "Ambushed?...".

"Oh! My lady, I think something about newly turned breeds was mentioned". Ruby added as she styled my hair in a simple ponytail.

"Okay". I said and was about to head out but Ruby stopped me.

"My lady". She called out.

" What is it?", I asked.

I heard her pick up something and moved closer to me, "Your walking stick". She said and shoved my jade walking stick into my hands.

I quietly shoved it back in her hands, I might be blind but I have memorized the route of every area in this pack. "Don't worry, I don't need it". I said to her.

"I know my lady, but even though we can't be too careless". She said.

Seeing how persistent she is, I collected it back and headed to the council hall.

This time around I calmly walked inside.

Ko! Ko! Ko!

The sound of my jade stick resounded loudly in the hall, making the room go insanely quiet.

I stood confidently before them and said, "Alpha.... Elders, I sincerely apologize for my irresponsibility". I then bowed slightly.

Even though I couldn't see their awful faces, I can smell their gloating hearts from miles away.

"Selene!". My Dad called out.

With the aid of my heightened senses I picked up the sound and went to him. "What's the situation?!". I asked.

"They have been signs of newly turned wolves in our pack but strangely, they are different from normal wolves, in the sense that they are more stronger and they heal super fast. Lucas, my Father the Alpha replied.

"Then who's making them?". I asked.

"We have no idea, but I have sent 9 guards investigate". Uncle Jake replied.

"I'm sure the vampire's are behind this, those bloody creature!". The first elder sneered.

"No! Our peace treaty with them is still valid, they know their boundaries". I commented.

"Oh then who do you think is behind this?". The Third elder spoke up.

"I don't know, on my way back I personally encountered three newly turned wolves but unlike normal wolves they are pretty strong I must admit, And they also healed faster than normal.... They are more likely newly turned Hybrids.

"Newly turned Hybrids?!!!". Everyone exclaimed.

"Then doesn't that mean the vampire's are trying to rebel!!". The Second elder said with fear evident in his voice.

"This isn't the work of the Vampire's, if they had this power then we won't be standing here". Lucas said.

"Alpha is right, someone else is making hybrids and we have to put an end to it as fast as possible". I said.

"The princess is right we must deal with this fast". Lucas said before giving out his orders. "First elder, Sixth elder, write to Silver blade pack to inform them, at this moment we need their assistance".

"Yes Alpha!!". The first and sixth elder said".

"Princess! Go visit Agatha". Lucas turned to his daughter because he knew only her could talk to Agatha.

"Yes Alpha!". I replied with right hand on my chest as a sign of submission.

Agatha is a very powerful witch but she is a ally to the werewolves.

"Meeting dismissed!". Lucas said and the Elders all left.

Seeing I was done, I was also about to take my leave but_

"Selene!". I suddenly heard my dad's voice.

I stopped in my tracks and turned to him. "Yes Alpha!".

"You encountered 3 hybrids, are you okay?". He asked.

"I'm fine Alpha!". I said and turned to leave, leaving him to himself. Pity is what I hate the most!.

It's almost dawn so I went back to my quarters to get some rest.

ETHAN'S POV

After walking for hours I finally got back, I feel powerful yet so weak, so I couldn't use any of my abilities.

Upon reaching the palace, it was already dawn.

"Ethan!!". I heard Emelia's voice call out. A smile made it way to my lips knowing she's okay.

Before I knew it she enveloped me in a tight hug. "Mom, you_ are_ choking me". I joked.

"What the heck!". She hit my shoulders lightly and complained, "where have you been? I was worried sick!!".

I wanted to explain everything to get but I suddenly felt dizzy, "Mom, I want to sleep ".

"What?!". Emelia exclaimed.

Before I knew it, I passed out on her shoulders.

Emelia was shocked, "Ethan! Wake up!!". She yelled while tapping him but no response.

With the help of the guards she took him to his room to rest. She didn't know what happened throughout the night but she was sure it took a great toll on him.

Looking at him sleeping Peacefully on the bed, she sighed peacefully, and decided to leave him to rest.

Just then, she noticed beads of sweat on his head and she used her sleeves to dab it softly.

"Don't go!!!". Ethan suddenly shouted.

Emelia flinched immediately, "Ethan". She called out but was immediately stunned by the change in the color of her son's Silver orbs.

In ultimate shock, she call out again, "E...than?".
