Lillian's POV:

"You were busy talking trash about me; of course you wouldn't be able to hear me come in."

"I wasn't..." I lowered my head guiltily.

Fortunately, he seemed like he did not hear the earlier part of the conversation, which meant that he still had no idea that I was pregnant.
