Lillian's perspective.

I couldn't resist gulping, a manifestation of my fear.

I really wished I could portray that Ismail-esque indifference to the results of the examination.

Taking a deep breath, I put on a straight face and confronted his gaze. "I know my child best. He's very healthy, thank you very much. I hope you can keep your promise when the time comes."

He nodded. "Of course. Right back at you."

I took another deep breath and turned my face away from him.

The ward had just quieted down when there was a series of frantic knocks on the door, after which Helen pushed the door open and dashed in. Scanning the surroundings of the ward, she fixed her eyes on the two of us and said anxiously, "Something bad happened, Luna. The Queen... the Queen fainted."

"What did you say? How did that happen?" Ismail frowned and asked anxiously as he followed Helen out.

As soon as I heard that the Queen fainted, I immediately got off the bed and chased after them to the emergency room.
