Clare immediately dismissed the thought.
"He's not a man! He's a strange creature from a dugout!" Clare tried to get rid of her thoughts, and with a red face, she looked briefly out the door of the grandfather's room.
Then she studied her grandfather's clothes and muttered under his breath.
"Sorry, Grandpa, but I have to lend him this shirt ..." she said while stroking the shirt left by the late Grandpa.
Then Clare rushed to the bathroom, which was on the first floor.
When she opened the door, she was surprised to see the man coming out of the shower room naked.
Instantly her face turned red, and his heart beat fast.
Clare immediately turned her face away while her hands touched the wall, then placed the clothes on the small table in the large room.
"P-Put on your clothes! After that, I will cut your hair and shave your beard!"
After saying it in such a shouting tone, she immediately got out of there and dashed towards her room.
Enzo looked at the clothes Clare had put down.
Water was still dripping from his hair. He toweled it a little more and immediately put on the clothes Clare had given him.
Meanwhile, Clare entered her room and rushed to find her hair clipper. She also opened her grandmother's closet because she usually cuts her husband's hair using her portable shaver.
Clare had been taught several times before, so she understood how to use it.
But after finding what she was looking for, her knees felt weak. She sat down on the floor while her memory was fixed on the figure of Enzo.
The man's body looked sturdy and clean, his skin was pale white, with fine hairs on his broad chest, even though it was covered by his long beard and mustache, but Clare could see how red Enzo's lips were.
She touched her chest and tried to calm herself.
"Calm down, my heart! Be friendly with my logic and common sense! Don't beat at the wrong time!"
Clare snorted and then took a deep breath. For a moment, she was silent and tried to catch her breath.
"Why don't you come out too?"
Clare gasped to find Enzo was already standing in the doorway and watching her.
Her chest, which had calmed down, now rumbled again. She looked at the man carefully, then she got up.
"You look more like a human now, now is the time to get your hair and beard done!"
Clare came out of the room without noticing Enzo's face. She was too embarrassed to look at the man!
They descended the stairs and then walked to the barn, which was located at the back of the house.
Enzo studied the details of the house, but Clare immediately realized it, but Clare still had a positive mind, she guessed, if that person might be a person from a remote tribe who could quickly learn a new civilization.
Clare turned the handle on the barn door, then motioned for the man to enter.
She then shifted a chair and placed it right in front of a mirror, which was already there.
"Sit down," Clare asked, still not looking at Enzo's face.
Although a little surprised by Clare's attitude, Enzo obeyed the girl's words and sat in front of the mirror.
Clare then put a cloth mat around Enzo's body so that his hair and beard wouldn't dirty his clothes.
The girl then tried to turn on the shaver by pressing the power switch on the side.
The little machine immediately sounded, indicating that the thing was ok.
Clare smiled. Happily, she immediately grabbed the comb and slowly cut the man's hair.
Enzo looked at Clare's reflection in the mirror. The girl's fingers seemed agile in using a razor and scissors.
As if he was a professional!
Clare cut his long hair into an undercut model to look neat.
The girl was even amazed at her own work. She then put down the scissors and shaved Enzo's beard and moustache.
Gradually, Clare began to see the appearance of Enzo's natural face. She then trimmed the remains of the beard and moustache using the manual shaver, which belonged to her grandfather and was located in the warehouse.
Everything is still clean and stored in a plastic box.
Clare tried not to tremble and was careful while shaving off Enzo's beard and mustache.
Her heartbeat was more like a drum, beating so fast.
"Why does your heart sound so loud?" Enzo suddenly asked her.
"Shut up, Enzo. I'm cleaning your face!" Clare felt a little annoyed, but she still continued her work. She didn't look at Enzo at all because she still felt the flutter which she thought was quite strange.
Enzo looked at her intently, but suddenly he fell silent and sniffed Clare's body slowly.
He didn't want to be too flashy in front of her.
He felt unsure, but he sniffed again. Suddenly, his blue pupils turned light gray, and the veins in his hands popped out.
Fine grayish black hairs start to appear on the skin's surface.
No way. Is this girl a descendant of the Adam family?
Doesn't she recognize the real me if she is descended from Adam's family?
Nearly two hundred years have passed, and during that time, I have been buried in the basement of this house.
But this remains in Bloomsbury…
Enzo then tried to calm himself. Slowly his pupils and body returned to normal.
Clare then heaved a sigh of relief after she managed to finish her work.
He looked at Enzo's face, which turned out to be very handsome.
Perhaps this man was only around thirty years old? Clare frowned and tried to guess the man's age.
She then removed the cloth covering the body, then cleaned all the equipment and also the room,
Enzo stood in front of the mirror, he pretended to pay attention to his appearance, but secretly, he looked at Clare.
But the girl seemed so busy cleaning the place that she didn't realize that she was being watched by Enzo.
"Done! Well, you look better with your current appearance!" Clare really takes pride in her work.
"Now go back to your house and don't dig tunnels in our family's house again!"
But Enzo kept quiet and stared at the floor when Clare said that.
Clare fell silent and stared at Enzo with her mouth open.
"D-Don't tell me you don't have a house? Are you a runaway from a remote village or something?
Are you a cult follower?
Are you a beaver man???
Gophers???"
Enzo kept quiet and didn't answer Clare's question, which he felt was too much.
Clare then covered her mouth and seemed to think.
"Stay here until news of the search for you comes. You must hide, if my family comes, you must not be seen by them, or Matthew will slit my throat!"
Clare finally made a one-sided decision. She sighed for a moment and then extended her hand to Enzo.
"Since you've introduced yourself, it's my turn to introduce myself to you."
Enzo then grabbed Clare's finger and shook it slowly but kept his gaze on the girl.
"My name is Clare Caroline. You are currently at my late Grandfather Hugo Adam's house."
This girl is indeed a descendant of the Adam family. But why does it seem like she doesn't know anything about our existence? She looks very naive and innocent and also looks harmless.Enzo wondered in his heart. He looked at the large palm that was shaking Clare's tiny fingers."Alright, since we're acquaintances, I'll clear things up here, and we'll figure out how you will stay here for the time being!"Enzo has no other choice but to follow what Clare says. He is in a very alien world, with different views and air. This wasn't the Bloomsbury he knew. This town looked so different. When Clare tidied up the place again, she immediately invited Enzo to return to the house. Clare strolled with a frown. She was thinking, where should Enzo hide if her brothers returned to this house. In the basement again? No, no… Will Matt know where Enzo is right away if he uses one of Grandpa's rooms? No! That would be tantamount to dumping Enzo on them as well.Clare's eyes moved, and she looked at t
The bright morning, the cool air, and the sunshine that warmed the world, made Clare Caroline inhale the morning air greedily."If you inhale like that, the bees will get into your nose, Clare," teased the mother, Mrs. Audrey, as she passed Clare."Bees won't like my morning snot, Mom. It's very sticky and allows it to be stuck there forever," said Clare as she breathed in the morning air.The mother shook her head. The journey from Birmingham, where the Adam family home is located, to Bloomsbury, is long. They had to travel for at least two hours. Matthew and Raymond were willing to clear their schedules to know the condition of their grandfather's house."Clare...?" Raymond reprimanded his sister and made sure she was still awake."What is it?" asked Clare as she enjoyed the spring scenery along the way."Aren't you afraid if suddenly Grandpa appears in front of you?" Raymond teased Clare again.Clare rolled her eyes and snorted."What other trick are you going to play so that I feel scared and not stay there?Just tell the truth, Ray. Aren't you afraid of losing the bet with me?"Clare teased Raymond back while sticking out her tongue."Tsk, this brat, can't you just let me win once in a while? Dad, Mom, and Matthew always defend and make you win, even if you should lose," Raymond grumbled and made Clare chuckle."Of course, I can't let you win. I want to be there and make friendships in Bloom
"This…?" Clare didn't continue her words. She was still amazed and fascinated by the room."Looks like this is Grandpa's secret room," Matthew told his two siblings.Raymond looked at the objects displayed there, a pistol, silver bullets, bows, and arrowheads, also made of silver.Silver stakes, silver swords, and daggers.Clare rubbed the book, the pages open, on Grandpa's desk. She looked at the tiny writing on the page, then frowned."What is it?" asked Raymond as he walked over to his little brother, looked at the page, and stood straight at Matthew."Have you known this place for a long time?" He asked his brother, his voice a little angry."Yeah, I've known it since we were teenagers, Ray," Matthew replied calmly."Then did you ask Grandpa about this?" Clare also asked out of curiosity.Matthew just shook his head slowly. Raymond's eyes widened, knowing that."Who is our real family? Are we the Vampire exterminator family? Or a cult cultist? Are we even a nation of magicians?"R
Again the man did not immediately answer, he just looked around, and his face looked confused.Clare felt a little annoyed and went into the basement. She immediately looked into the dug hole and checked. Did the man enter by digging a hole?Of course, Clare could see the dugout, which seemed quite long. She chuckled in annoyance and quickly climbed back up.The man was still standing there and looking at the entire library."Are you ready to answer? Who are you really?" Clare put her hands on her hips and tilted her head. The man looked at Clare with a pair of sharp blue eyes."Enzo Etienne, that's my name."He answered curtly and then pulled a book from the shelf and read it."Hmm, Enzo… Etienne? Your name is as ancient as you look," Clare commented on the man."What are you doing at my Grandpa's house? How far did you dig to get in here?"Clare asked again."I didn't dig. I was buried in there," the man replied, turning the pages of his book.Clare's mouth opened, and she stared at
