Chapter 18

I went home to the apartment feeling down. The apartment is so quiet; no one is even here. Maybe they are all busy today.

Before, someone was there when I showed up with my sad face. I went to the rooftop without cleaning myself. I am so tired.

Everything is still fresh to me, from my father to my boyfriend who just left me.I washed my face. What did I do again? What mistake did I make?

I bowed my head and laughed loudly. The moon was there, watching me, as I lost everything.

I wonder why they make it look so easy to hurt me. I heard the rooftop door open, but I couldn’t bring myself to look.

“Need a hug, Ivory?” I heard Meggay's voice, so I looked at her and nodded.

She quickly came to me and hugged me tightly, starting to caress my hair. My eyes can't even cry anymore. It was too much.

“You can tell me what’s wrong,” she said as she released the hug, opened a can of beer, and handed it to me.
