"Soon, my ass!" I snapped at him and rolled my eyes.

He chuckled and smirked afterward, making me want to punch him in the face.

"I don't want it," I whispered to him, making him stop.

I looked outside at the glass wall, seeing the darkness swallowing the light. Outside seemed so peaceful with the small number of people out there.

I wanted to inhale the wind again to find peace once more. I looked at him and called the waiter to get the bill, and I paid for it.

"I hope you enjoyed our dinner," I said as I grabbed my bag to leave the restaurant.

"Phoebe, wait!" he said, so I looked at him.

Luckily, there were few people on the street. He looked at me with a lost face, inhaling a large amount of oxygen as he looked at me.

The rain suddenly poured down, making me look at him with a serious face and a small smile.

"Why are you pretending to be happy? Why are you treating me nicely?" he snapped as he grabbed my arms.
