The Failed Reconciliation 1

“Excuse me, Your Excellency. How did your reconciliation meeting go?”

He ignored him and joined the taxi driver who just stopped in front of him.

Gen. Anderson had embarrassed his country enough and the citizens were not happy. Before he boarded the plane, he learned from the news that there was a coup in his country, and his Second in Command was the interim Head of State.

“I expected that,” he mumbled.

In the broadcast, all their borders were closed, and no one could travel in or out of Raino. He was disoriented when he heard that the flight he booked had been canceled.

“Ha! What have I done to myself,” he murmured.

Now, the passenger was disgruntled and blamed him for their predicament.

“Look at what the Head of State has caused,” they grumbled.

At that point, he needed to hide his face to avoid being lynched. Without security guards and pressmen, he was not significant, and it favored him. He sneaked out of the lobby and headed to the airport hotel as a commoner.
