“Like poison, love is vicious, and barely suspicious.”

Daisy’s POV

“Did you get your wrist checked out?” Hades asked from behind me. My eyes closed feeling the warmth from his body engulfing me.

The cold morning breeze made a trail, weaving his scent through my body and filling my lungs with my latest addiction. “I didn’t have the time,” I replied, shaking my head to clear the fog that his presence had caused on my mind.

“Come on,” he muttered, his fingers intertwining with my good wrist as he dragged me towards the direction of the pack’s clinic.

My body felt alive under his touch. My eyes were focused on his broad back as he moved with such agility and grace.

For all I knew he could be leading me to my execution and I would gladly follow him.

“check her wrist, administer the right drugs to her,” he commanded the nurse.

“yes Alpha King,” she replied with a curt bow.

Hades’ presence in the corner of the room felt suffocating, his eyes were fixed on me, it felt like I was running out
