“Nothing I have, is truly mine.”

Daisy’s POV

One thing was certain, Hades’ kingdom had a different dynamic from my pack. Miss Amy was like a mother figure to the maids in the servant quarters. She wasn’t as cold as miss Ruth had been.

“Priya will show you to your room, breakfast is by six, during breakfast your duty will be read out to you” miss Amy said.

“Thank you,” I replied, turning away from her.

Our footsteps echoed against the cold tiles as we moved, the servant quarters looked exquisite like it was a castle.

“This is bigger than my room in our pack,” I said, my eyes taking in the size of the room. The bathroom was twice of my former room.

“I can’t imagine,” Priya said, shuddering like the thought had scared her.

“So are these all your things,” she asked, pointing to the duffel bag that rested by the door.

“Yes, that’s me,” I sighed.

There wasn’t much from the pack to carry, I had lived my life like it was on rent, each day a fleeting uncertainty of what could have wouldn’t be
