“They say the road gets hard, and you get lost when you are led by blind faith.”

Daisy’s POV

Call me crazy but it felt like Hades had protected me back at the council hall. His intervention at the time, deflecting the attention from me when the question was asked had me grinning like a fool.

I had decided to lock myself in, it was the only safe bet to avoid another run in with Lyra and her bunch of lackeys.

My wrist had turned a nasty purple color but the fear of stepping out only made me ignore the pain.

My head was filled with different scenarios of how Hades’ kingdom would be. I was eager for a fresh start, a clean slate maybe I would rebrand myself, smile more, yes smiling definitely helps in making new friends.

“Goodbye you ugly looking gown,” I whispered to the maid’s outfit, “I dint think I will miss you either,” I muttered to the black shoe that had always left scars on my feet.

I looked around the bare room, all that I owned was a few pieces of clothes and a pair of sandals.
