“You won’t see me fall apart.”

Daisy’s POV

“You are going to hold me hostage?”

“No,” Astrid replied, wiping the tears off her cheeks.

“We are going to talk and not run away from each other,” she muttered.

I looked at the locked door, and turned my gaze to Astrid, “this isn’t going to work,” I mumbled, pacing around the room.

I felt trapped, my mind was flooding with bottled up emotions and I wasn’t ready to deal with them.

“You don’t get to decide how I get to heal,” I hissed at her, my heart drumming loudly in my chest.

“I want us to talk without you running off, I need you,” she said in a broken voice.

“I need to get out, open this door,” I screamed, my fist pounding on the door.

“daisy,” Astrid called.

“You don’t get it, I can’t be trapped in here with you,” I gritted out.

“don’t say that,” she said, her eyes watering as fresh tears welled up in them.

I let out a bitter laugh, “don’t sound hurt Astrid, you have caused me far more pain,” I hissed.
