KYRA'S POV

One thing was sure and that was the strong nagging feeling that clouded my thoughts. I knew all wasn't well with Ace and here he was, complicating matters for me. I Wanted to know to know what the problem was but he wouldn't speak and thinking of it alone almost made me go mad. "Is he telling the truth or is he hiding anything from me?" This question clouded my mind and troubled my heart more than I had thought it would.

He glared at me for a few seconds before a smile etched itself on his face. I was familiar with that smile and knew better than trust it. He only gave that smile when he needs me to stop talking about something. I smiled back at him and rose from the bed to get to my tasks. I had to meet a lot of people and within a limited time. Thinking of it alone made me develop a headache. My hand rested on the nape of my neck, slowly massaging it to create relief. After a few touches, I felt much better than I was.
