Third POV.

“Do you have to leave today?” Leila asked as she saw them put their luggage in the car.

She was reluctant to part ways with her. After all, since when didn’t Elana take her with her when she was going to meetings?

“Sorry love but we do,” Aiden said but Leila ignored him and looked at her sister.

“Even though I wanted to take you with me, I couldn’t. The council said that when I am gone, you should be practicing your fighting skills so that when I come back, we can continue with the gifts training,” Elana said making Leila understand some things.

“Don’t worry, we won’t go for too long. We will be back in three days, Marcus said while patting Leila’s back to prevent her from crying since he knew that that was so hard for her.

“Love..” Aiden tried reaching out for her hand but Leila avoided him, making everyone confused.

“Leila, what’s going on? Aiden is trying to talk to you but you are so busy running away from him,” Elana said while trying not to sound harsh.
