They tried opening it but they found it more difficult.

Step back, Leila said as she gave Amaya control so she could knock down the door. After she gave the door a heavy and powerful kick, the door broke and fell.

Leila took back their control as she did not want her enemies to see her eyes and know that they were right. Even though they attacked the elders and the councils, that did not mean that they were sure that she had darkness in her. Maybe they thought that she had her father’s gifts and did not inherit her mother’s darkness. Thinking of all this, Leila made a quick guess that the rogues were attacking the council so that the council could tell them more about me.

Leila wondered whether the council could remain silent and opt not to tell the enemies anything even when they saw the death with their own eyes.
