Being a Vampires pet is a fate no Human wants to endure… I was 6 years old when my parents were killed and I was taken to the pet store. A 6 year old cannot make choices for herself, so why am I punished for something my parents did? This question haunts me. Instead of playing outside with other kids, I was groomed and trained to obey my Master… I was to be the perfect pet. A maid, a sexual partner, a nurse, a blood bag… Anything my Master wanted, that was what I was expected to give. Obedience… That is what the Ringmaster prided herself on with her selection. She didn't get so lucky with me. Madame Vienna and I clashed hardcore. I learned quickly not to speak out of turn, but it didn't stop me from throwing a snarky remark here and there when I felt that I was healed enough to handle another punishment. This may be the only reason I lasted so long without being sold. But my time had come. I was on display for the world to see. Tattered and torn, but it didn't seem to matter to the man with the rose gold eyes who made the Vampires tremble without even saying a single word… What kind of creature was he to cause this type of reaction in an apex predator? I clenched my eyes shut as he brought me to the counter to check out. "Come, Ambrosia." The man purred after a moment. Shaking, I followed him, trying to take in any and every small detail of the outside world… "You can do this. Pretend it's just a bad dream… You know how to survive." I whispered to myself, as I followed my new Master to what was sure to be my death.
Lihat lebih banyakI watched Katrina, my love, sit by Ramses' side on the living room floor of her home. She was holding his hand and he was starting to stir.
I assumed he was coming out of his coma. Whatever he needed to do in his mind he must have completed, allowing him to come back to his body.
“Ramses, hey baby.” She said, softly, and his eyes started to flutter open. That was my queue to leave. I took one last glance at Katrina, as this would be the last time I would ever see her.
The last look I would have of her beautiful face. I shoved down the pain radiating through my chest at the thought. I reached for the necklace Katrina had given me earlier and clasped my hand around it. “Goodbye, my love.” I whispered, and then I materialized away from her house.
I intended to go home, but I didn’t quite make it there. I found myself, instead, staring into the spring in the forest where Katrina had pulled this necklace from. It had me wondering just why it was in there to begin with.
I still had my hand clasped around it, but I couldn’t feel any type of energy radiating from it. I thought it might be some sort of magical pendant… An amulet or artifact of sorts… But it seemed like it was neither of those things.
I kissed the pendant and placed it back under my shirt. I then took some of the spring water and splashed my face with it. I wanted to go back…
Act like I didn’t leave, and just stay there. I could share her with my brother. Our chemistry worked great, as we already have seen, so why not?
“Fuck.” I said out loud, as I fought to keep my composure. I don’t know why I cared… I was alone and had no one to impress.
This was the hardest thing I had ever had to do, but I knew it was necessary. Katrina was not mine, and she would never be. This was for the best, and we both fucking knew it.
“Viper, you there?” I called out to my Wolf. I had never done this before. I tried to ignore him, mostly. But I thought maybe this was a good time to get to know him better.
I was alone, after all. I had been putting it off for years and it wasn’t fair to him, really. He’s stuck in here with me… We may as well make the best of it.
“Yea, I'm here!” Viper said, rather enthusiastically. Shit, I didn’t really think things through… I had no idea what to say.
“Uh, this might be hard, and take some time, but I think I'm ready to try and get to know you.” I said to my Wolf. I could almost feel him jumping with anticipation in my mind. “What do you need me to do?” He asked.
“Well, that's the thing, I’m not sure. So why don’t we try this… I’m going to start off by not blocking you out for two days of the week… Like Tuesday and Thursday? So for those two days I wont block you out, and we can just get to know each other. Talk, hang out, whatever you want to do. How does that sound?” I asked.
“Ok! That sounds really great. I will try not to be annoying and talk your ear off, but I have a lot of questions.” Viper said.
“That’s ok, we can work through it together. After a while of those two days, we can maybe go for three days… And so on, so forth, until we have a better relationship. Sound good?” I asked.
“Sounds great!” Viper said. “Ok I’m going to push you out until Tuesday, and then we can start from there. Bye for now.” I said, and pushed my Wolf back to the recess of my mind.
That’s a start, and a start is better than nothing. I thought. I spent more time than I wanted to at the spring, but I couldn't bring myself to leave just yet. It was too much, it was too hard. I had too many emotions to make a rational decision.
Every bone in my body was telling me to run back to Katrina, and every piece of my mind was telling me not too. Fuck this. I thought, as I finally had enough strength to materialize myself back to my home.
I stood outside my front gate just looking in at my mansion. The rose gold accents were glittering in the sunlight. I pushed open my rose gold gate adorned with an eight pointed star, my mark…
And I thought of how much I longed to see this mark on Katrina’s beautiful face. Then I mentally slapped myself. I would get over this, over her... I had to.
I walked through my gate and headed towards my front door. My assistant, Ivy, opened the door for me. She must have seen me coming. “Are you ok?” She asked me. I didn’t say anything to her, I just walked by.
I’m sure she could tell I was troubled, otherwise she wouldn’t have asked, but she let me be. One of the reasons I liked her. The other being she is a Vampire. And a new one, at that. I hadn’t broken her in quite yet, but right now that was the last thing on my mind.
I headed up to my room and to the shower. I stripped off my clothes and placed my hand around the necklace Katrina had given me. I contemplated taking it off, but I promised her I wouldn’t let anything happen to it...
Not that she would even know if I had taken it off, I was never going to see her again. The thought sent a new wave of pain through my chest. I shook my head, and left it on.
I then stepped inside the glass enclosure letting the hot water run down my body. I heard Ivy walk in and gather my clothes. She was instructed to do this for me, and for a moment I caught her stealing a glance at me through the glass.
She put her head down as soon as she noticed that I had noticed and she walked out silently. I snickered. Of course she did, how could she resist me?
Our charm doesn’t work on Vampires the same way it does on Humans… But she’s a new Vampire. This means she is still struggling letting go of her Human side.
Which means she is still affected by me, and very much so, at that. At this time though, the only woman I wanted was Katrina... “Viper?” I called to my Wolf, letting him back to the forefront of my mind.
“Wow, twice in one day. This has to be a record!” He joked. I laughed a little too. He was right… Twice in one day was a lot when usually he didn’t even get once in one day. “I just figured I might use the company, even though it’s not quite yet Tuesday.” I said.
“Well I'm here, and I will do whatever it is you need me to do. Talk, stay quiet, listen… Just let me know what you need, man.” Viper said. I appreciated him at that moment, something I never previously did.
“Just stay quiet for now. I just like the fact that you’re there, even if you’re not talking.” I said, as I jumped out of the shower and threw on some rose gold basketball shorts.
I headed out of my room to my kitchen. Ivy was wiping my countertops down. I stood and admired her from afar for a moment. She wasn’t Katrina, but maybe that’s just what I needed. Anyone who wasn’t her.
I took a breath in at the thought of Katrina. When would her memory stop hurting? I walked over to the counter by Ivy. She stopped what she was doing and waited for my command. She had only been here six months, but she learned very quickly, and she didn’t make mistakes.
I waved my hand at her. “Carry on.” I said. She looked confused. I had never approached her without needing something before. She did as I said though, like always.
I just watched her bustling about the kitchen, cleaning up things that were already immaculate as she knew how I liked my home.
“When were you turned?” I asked her, causing her to stop dead in her tracks. She slowly turned towards me but she kept her eyes down. “You may look at me.” I said, and we locked eyes.
“How… How did you know? I mean, your brother did say…” She stammered. I raised an eyebrow at her. “Two days after I accepted the job here, with you. That’s when I was turned.” She said.
“My brother? Ramses? That night he came over?” I asked. She nodded her head. Of course he spoke to her, and of course he knew she was a Vampire instantly… A new one at that. “Yes… Ramses.” She replied.
“So you were turned that recently, huh?” I said. “Yes sir.” She replied. “I like Vampires. They are one of my favorite species, you know.” I purred. She didn’t reply, but stood there in silence.
“I… I... have trouble controlling my... Urges.” She stammered. I could tell she was nervous now. I stepped out from behind the counter and walked up to her.
“And what, urges do you mean?” I asked, knowing full well what she was referring to.
“Please, sir… I can’t control it. I don’t want to hurt you. I attacked your brother too, on accident.” She cried. I just smiled at her. “Oh sugar, you couldn’t hurt me if you tried.” I purred, as her eyes turned blood red and she lunged at me.
I stepped to the side, grabbing her by the neck as she flew by me, Then I slammed her down onto the ground. Her fangs were elongated, but she quickly calmed down under my grasp. Once she was back to normal, I helped her up. “I’m so sorry. I just… Ugh, this is so hard.” She cried.
I felt for her. Being a newly turned Vampire with no one to turn to for help, she must have been miserable this entire time. In any normal circumstance I wouldn’t care and she could figure it out on her own, but I was in a very vulnerable state.
I even surprised myself by what came out of my mouth next. “Let me work with you to help you get this under control. I need something to take my mind off of… Other things, anyways.” I said.
“You would do that?” She asked. “In a normal circumstance, no. But things aren’t normal right now. You could say you caught me at an opportune time.” I said. I closed the gap between us pushing her up against the wall behind me placing my hands on either side of her head.
“Also, you do realize that I will be the one to take that pretty little virginity from you, right?” I purred.
That’s all it took to send her into another frenzy, this time a lust fueled one. She lunged at me again, and again, I threw her to the floor so she could calm down.
Once she calmed down she grabbed me and pulled me to her, forcing her lips against mine. While I meant every word I said, I wouldn’t push it on her.
I was going to wait for her to come to me, begging for it.
Because she would… Oh trust me, she would.
Chapter 51“I-I didn’t know!” I shouted, trying to convince them. “It makes sense now, it’s how you have magic. It’s why no one has come looking for you. They can’t get in here when you have the only key that opens this Box.” Andres said. The playful, boyish tone he once carried was completely gone from his voice. Rather than sounding like a 19 year old boy, he had the husky voice and powerful tone of someone who had lived a millennia. I instantly panicked. I had to try and play this off or I was going to be killed right here, right now. “I don’t have a fucking amulet, you would have seen it on me by now if I had it! I’ve been here for months!” I huffed, trying to defend myself, but not sound too guilty. They didn’t need to know that it was cloaked in magic, that could stay a secret. But I wouldn’t be lying if they searched me because they would never find it. I looked at Dominik, his face was hard and unyielding. It reminded me of when I first came here, the look he gave me when I
Chapter 50I tuned back to the conversation that Dominik was having with his brother Andres. We were in town getting an array of items on the shopping list for Hilda, and it was taking quite a while. We had to go to like five stores and collect a plethora of items from each one. This list was at least triple the size of that list Dominik and I had gotten last time. That's why all three of us went, it was going to be a while. I don’t even know what they were arguing about, but they started punching each other and I just laughed because I was totally confused. These two did not act like they were both millennia or more old Angels. They acted like kids my age, and I got a crack out of it every time I noticed it. How can someone so old, still seem so young? Well, two people at that? It was insane. Once they were done punching each other they called a truce and we entered the next store. Once we got everything we needed it was finally time to be done. We started heading back to the hous
Chapter 49“Amuletum dicimus contradixerit tibi adduc velatos te et domum tuam. Tu nos iubes?” The Witches started chanting. I was impatiently waiting, but nothing seemed to be happening. They continued chanting and a green light appeared above them for a split second and then it was gone. But it sent an energy blast that flung books off the shelves in my library. It also knocked the three Witches back, breaking the circle and stopping the chanting. Katrina looked up at me from the floor. “I’m sorry, Rowen. It didn’t work. The amulet isn’t reachable by magic.” She said. I sighed out loud. “What do we do now?” I asked, eager to get any reply that would bring Ambrosia home. “I-I don’t know… Wait!” Katrina cried. My eyes shot up to Katrina, waiting for her to talk. “Give me something sharp, I need to cut myself.” She said, holding her hand out. I raised an eyebrow at her, but did as she asked and snapped to produce a very sharp but dainty knife, and handed it to her. “Shadows, I summo
Chapter 48(Rowen)The Vampires were of help, they did let us know the location they planned to take Ambrosia, which was different from the warehouse location we had already gotten out of them. We sent our armies to infiltrate both locations and came up empty handed. Ambrosia was not located at either of the locations, but we did manage to take out some more of The Others. Luckily, we were able to get some of the other plans they had stored away as well. Apparently, their operation was a lot bigger and deeper seeded than we expected. They had a lot more plans than just opening Pandora’s Box. These guys were like one of those damn cults on crack. They have locations scattered throughout Rome, and even in the states. It’s insane how deep their seeds go. It had been 12 days, and we hadn’t gotten an inkling as to where Ambrosia could be. I knew she was alive, I could feel her presence anytime I tried to materialize to her, but she was just out of reach. It was the strangest thing. “Br
Chapter 47 I had no idea when I dozed off, but thankfully I didn’t dream at all. I have no idea how long I slept, but when I woke up I was curled up next to Dominik. He had his arms around me and his head was resting on top of my head. We were in the same position we ended the night in with our feet on the footrest. It took me a moment to register where I was and what I was doing before I suddenly realized and moved out of his grasp. I didn’t say anything to him, but he started laughing when he woke up and realized what was going on. “You don’t have to run away, I don’t bite.” He cackled. I just laughed. Ok, so he wasn’t mad. How did we fall asleep like that anyways? At least I got some sleep… That was all I could think of. I could smell breakfast cooking and realized that we were the last ones to be awake. My cheeks turned red when I realized that everyone in the house had to have seen us this morning because they had to pass through the living room to get to the kitchen. No
Chapter 46“Come sit down, child.” The older woman said, motioning at an empty spot on the couch next to the dark haired man. I reluctantly walked over and I could feel his eyes, well, both of theirs, trained straight onto me. I just tried to ignore it. I had no idea what type of creatures they were, but honestly, I was afraid. The second I took my seat an intense feeling of doom settled into my chest and stomach. I was used to feeling fear around supernatural creatures. I was Human, it was normal for me. But this was so much worse, so much more intense. I knew he could tell I was afraid by the way I was acting. I was trying to keep my cool but It was exceedingly difficult. Neither of the angelic men said a word to me at first. They kept their eyes trained on me though, as if I was going to do something crazy. “You’re a pet?” The dark haired one finally said, breaking the awkward silence. My hand went straight to my collar that I just now noticed was still on. They never removed i
