Stranger's scent

Hardulph was taken aback by Mirabel's revelation, he knew a certain Mr. Gregory and it was Connor's uncle. Could he be the same person she was talking about?

"Do you mean Connor's uncle, Mr. Gregory?" Hardulph asked Mirabel to be sure and she nodded to confirm his questions.
