Regina Campbell left the Flower shop at 15:09 pm with a happy face, satisfied with what she had bought for Damon Salvatore -- Her supposed husband. It was his birthday, and Regina couldn't think of any gift considering her husband hates surprises. She boarded a cab which came to a stop in front of her home.
"$2.76 cents, off you go now." Regina waved the driver off and marched towards her living room holding onto the flower and the card. It was true and very well known that Regina Campbell and Damon Salvatore's marriage was a marriage of inconvenience. However, it was no secret that Regina loved her dear husband so much that she took in his abuses without defending herself or leaving him.Rumors had it that she was staying back because Damon was a millionaire and she probably couldn't live without his money. Regina ignored the rumors because to her, she wasn't after his money but after his heart. Damon turns 29 today and they've been married for 2 years already. How time flies!"Honey. I'm back home, are you here?" Regina called out, putting down the flower, her bag and cell phone. She was welcomed with silence and so she proceeded to remove her shoes before making her way upstairs to her husband's room."Damon. Are you home?" She had stopped to first knock at his door so he won't have a reason to be mad at her for ruining his day. When there was no response and only giggles from the inside were heard, Regina pushed the door."Damon!" She gasped. Making them both stop what they were doing to turn to the person who had just interrupted their fun."Have you no shame? How could you cheat on me and of all people, your secretary?!" Regina was suddenly in tears and that was just how emotional she could be.-- I mean, who wouldn't be in tears when you wanted to surprise your loved one but got surprised instead?--"I'm glad you are home. Over there, please take a look at the document and have it signed." Damon muttered, still clinging onto the woman next to him who was just smiling and seemed to be enjoying the look on the other woman's face.Regina took a walk to the direction he had pointed at and picked up a file, opening up the printed paper instead... She almost lost balance but managed to hold herself back."A DIVORCE PAPER?""C'mon. Don't try to make things hard, All you have to do is just put your signature and this is over. You're free , I am free ! We could be with who we want."Regina couldn't believe how shameless Damon could be to say such trashy words. "You cheated on me, to get a divorce?""Mmh." Damon nodded."Come on outside now Damon. Please let's talk about this, fine I'll pretend I didn't see what happened today okay? Let's talk this out! You can't just divorce me.""I can and I will. We have nothing to talk about, I'm here with someone and I can't go to you. Okay! You should thank Charlotte." Damon stopped to give the woman next to him a kiss. "She was generous enough to help pack your bags. Let's meet again in the courtroom. I'll also be kind enough to give you half of my property if that's what you want.""Damon!" Regina called one more time before dashing out of the room , unsure of what to think and what to believe. She walked into her room and as Damon had stated, her bags had been packed.Regina fell to the floor. How could he be so cruel to her? What exactly had she done wrong? How could he surprise her like this!?They've been together for two years and over the years, Regina was aware that Damon had no interest in her. Their marriage had been a deal made but she had genuinely loved Damon. Despite him being cruel to her, she had stayed and hoped that one day he would see her for who she was and finally love her back!Could she have been a fool to think Damon was going to change? Had she been so obsessed with him that she couldn't even tell who he was!?A divorce paper? Uff."Regina...." She heard someone called out from the outside. She left the floor where she had sat and opened the door to meet Charlotte standing there with a huge smile plastered on her face. Seeing her wearing her husband's shirt angered Regina more than anything but she dared do nothing or Damon wouldn't hesitate to punch her."What do you want?""Don't be rude. Damon said you would explore but I couldn't help but come over to see for myself."Regina didn't say anything and Charlotte continued. "You were aware Damon never loved you, perhaps you were the one so cheap to think you could buy love by marrying him?" She laughed."Damon loves me!" Regina tried to back herself up but Charlotte cut her short."Don't push it honey... Damon loves me and he's disgusted by you. We both know he's with you because you forced the marriage. How stupid are you? Well, glad he's finally ready to divorce you. I'll look forward to seeing how you will survive outside here." With a smirk, she walked away.Regina felt like a knife had just been stabbed her with! How could people be so cruel? She had given this marriage everything she had and everything she could. The days, weeks, months and years! How could he be so cold hearted to throw them away? Worst of all, allow his sidekick to disrespect her in her own home? She returned to her room and picked up the divorce paper one more. Grabbing a pen , she walked out of her room and only stopped when she was standing in front of Damon again."You want a divorce? Very well then..... I'll sign it." Opening the paper again, Regina left her signature at her end and proceeded to throw the papers at him."I don't care about your property. Our marriage comes to an end today and I hope you found love with ... Her!"Without a second thought, She walked out on them, shocking Damon who had thought she would never sign the papers. Next, Regina came downstairs with her luggages."I got you a birthday gift by the way, but you don't deserve it." She grabbed the flower and the card. That day, Regina Campbell was no longer married to Damon Salvatore, a man she had loved so much all along. That day, she made a promise to herself never to love a man again whomever it might be ------ She was going to be strong from here on.____________________________________________"I didn't exactly want to get divorced. I didn't exactly not want to..But then, my marriage had become like the trail in that moment where I realized there was a bull in both directions. I simply made a leap of faith and pushed on to the direction I had never been." Regina Campbell turned off the television. Her now ex-husband had actually made an official announcement that he was no longer married to her. Regina didn't see this as a problem, but what she'd seen as a problem was the fact that he was trying to play victim. She scoff. "Piece of Shit."It's been one week and during the days, she had stayed in a hotel room with the hope of leaving the city very soon. She was tired of crying and had given up, getting divorced was something she had never looked forward to... Everything had happened so quickly, breaking her in a worst possible way.Regina had noticed how dull and tired she had become over the past few days. She didn't want to believe she was pregnant, perhaps she's just stressed out with everything that had happened. But to be on a safe side, she had bought a pregnancy test strips. For the past two hours, she had done nothing but stare at it over and over again. Afraid of what the results might be."Let's get this over with. I need to get ready for my flight." Regina breathed down. There was silence as Regina walked around the room until her alarm set off that it was 5 mins. She rushed into the bathroom and took the pregnancy strips up."Positive." It clearly show. Regina didn't know exactly what her reaction was supposed to be at this moment. Over the past two years she had tried getting pregnant for her ex husband, Damon Salvatore but to no avail. It had to come a moment where she was accused of being infertile. Regina had given up all hopes of getting pregnant, but why does this had to happen at a time like this? Of all the days and months! It had to be as soon as she divorced Damon. Regina was scared, it was her first time and something she wasn't prepared for. She had no relative to run to for help and word of encouragement.Regina was left between thinking of loosing the baby was the best choice, or keeping the baby would be. Seconds turned to Minutes and soon it was an hour and Regina had barely noticed. Perhaps her getting pregnant is for her to have a solid reason to live? No way Regina was going to go back to Damon to announce to him that she was carrying his baby. She was done with him. She was tired of her being the only one doing the loving! She was tired of giving it her all and getting nothing in return. Regina couldn't imagine what her child's life would be like if it was to grow up around someone like Damon.Maybe he would love his child?Or maybe he would hate his child the same way he had hated her , Regina. She didn't want to find out. All she ever wanted to do was clear memories of Damon and try to heal. Right there, Regina concluded that she was going to keep her baby... All her love, she would give to her baby and she'll make sure she doesn't have to go through what she was passing through. One thing was sure, No Man could ever come into her life again. A vow and a promise she made to herself. She was going to take care of her baby , although she was aware of the challenges as a single mother... Regina was sure she could put through.Standing up, She took a look at herself in the mirror. How miserable she looked! She sighed and tried to force a smile which only made her look more ridiculous. Finally she looked away, it was time to pick her life up again and to be able to do that, She needed to leave the City.Miss Regina Campbell got down from the plane to welcome the fresh air of being in another city. She had just arrived to New York City, a place where she hoped to pick herself up again. A place where she hoped to call home and have her child grow up in..She put her sunglasses back on and dragged her luggage with her. "Time to find my apartment." One who saw Regina Campbell could hardly believe that she was one who just got divorced. Regina couldn't believe it too! She thought she'd die when she was served a divorce paper considering how much she had loved him and him alone. How she was able to have a smile on her face at the moment was something she had no idea about. Perhaps it was because she knows soon, she'll have someone next to her. Regina handed over her address to the cab man before getting into the car and settling down. While the car rolled, she looked out from the window, enjoying the beautiful sight before her. She was glad she choose this city and she hoped it brings
---------------- 10 minutes away from HS Company ----------- "Colin. How long until we are there?""10 minutes sir. I'm sorry but we're passing through a kindergarten school, they seem to be having an orientation or something. We could be late -" Colin proceed to explain but he was sure his Boss wasn't listening to him.His Boss loved his peace , hates noise and disturbance more than anything. A clash put the car on a stop and Colin slowly looked out of the window. "Uhm sir? I think we hit a kid." In a flash, The Boss was down from the car before Colin's could. "Why weren't you looking on the road you...!" He was about to curse at him but stopped when he noticed the little girl move her body. "I was looking! She was the one who jumped on the road. Why would she leave her school building and make her way to the road?. ""Are you seriously blaming her now? Get her into that car and drive straight to the hospital you moron! Also -- find her parent's contact and reach out to them. Cal
Daphne Nobel stood by the road frustrated about the fact that her car had broken down. This would be the third time it had broken down in a week and she was tired of it. However, Daphne had refused to purchase a new car. To her, the simple life she had been leaving all these years was her peace. Her father had requested she come back home for a father and daughter talk and although this was an odd request, Daphne knew it was company related. She walked to the road side and tried stopping cabs but none was stopping. She had tried to order for a ride but her network was so bad she couldn't even make a call. The place was kind of empty and Daphne was sure it wasn't safe for her, when she was almost giving up, a car pulled up in front of her. "You look like you need a ride" Daphne breathed down and stared at the driver... It wasn't safe to enter a stranger's car but it wasn't safe to be standing here either. "I do..." "I might be going your way, you can get in." Daphne muttere
Regina Campbell sat in the waiting room while going through her phone, asking Daphne if she would be free to pick Mirabella up from school later in the day. She waited for Daphne's response when she noticed she was typing but got interrupted by Daniel. "There might be a delay with the interview. The Boss is doing his introduction in the meeting. You could wait right?""Mmh. Thanks" Regina smile , rubbing her two hands together nervously. "I understand how nervous you are. Everyone is too, but don't worry. Hopefully it won't be as hard as it might seem. I'm off now, I'll inform you when he requests for you."While Regina watched Daniel go off, she couldn't wash off the feeling of nervously, most especially seeing how everyone was panicking. She went back to her phone, with the idea to keep herself busy until whoever the CEO was had settled. Seconds passed, Minutes and then two hours later , Regina was invited into the office. When she walked in, she met a man in a suit who was
"What do you want?" There was a dead silence on the other end and Hills was about to make the move of disconnecting the call when she spoke up."Hello darling"Upon hearing her voice and the pet name she called him, Hills clenched his fist tightly and his grip around the phone tightened as well.Nothing frustrates him as much as she does. Hills never for once thought that she was going to ever call him after so many years, but here he is, speaking with her on the phone."What do you want Martina?" Hills asked again and she chuckled."Can't I call to check up on you, Hills?""No you can't Martina"Again, Martina chuckled and it was slowly making Hills upset. Her chuckle reminded him so much of that particular day she left him 5 years ago. He'd never forget that."C'mon Hills.. Don't be so rude to me, Except if the past still hunts you like it does" There was a hint of mockery in Martina's voice."The past.. Has nothing to do with the present. Don't you dare bring up the past" Hills wa
"You should watch where you're going." Mr Hills started, bending over to help Regina pick up the Files that had slipped from her hand. "I'm sorry, my fault." Regina apologized, as she went down as well to pick up and arrange the files. She couldn't help but notice that the expression on her boss's face was not the usual. He seems pissed off about something and yet trying to cover it up. Regina would have asked , sure enough but this is her Boss. One she had started off with on the wrong feet. As much as Regina knows, it's best for her to avoid him in every aspect if she really wants her Job. When she was done picking up the Files with the help of Hills Sebastian, Regina stood up. "Here, have it!" He stretched the files towards her and she hesitated before taking the files from him."Thank You. And sorry I bumped into you.""How's Mirabelle?..." Hills asked instead, ignoring her words. Regina looked at him in the eyes. She hated what he knew about her daughter. She hated that h
Regina Campbell didn't bother to have breakfast. Her major aim was to get to the company as soon as possible. She had just 10 minutes left and it's so obvious she's going to be late.Getting a cab was easy but the problem lies on how to get there as fast as possible. It's been four days since she got the Job and she must confess that the HS company is one hell of a company. It hasn't been going on easy for her with the amount of workload that's been given to her by her supervisor.Sometimes, she gets to work late into the night, just so she can round it up. There's no breathing space for her.. Not just her, but the entire employees as well. She noticed that the only time the employees get to spend time with each other is only during lunch breaks, that lasts for about an hour... The rest time is just to work, work, and work. Most times, she forgets it's lunch time and skips lunch just because she has to finish working on a document and get it submitted at the time frame given. Daniel
Regina's day would have been better, not until the boss showed up at noon and the company turned into chaos with everyone trying to get everything done as soon as possible.Daniel showed up at her office, she didn't realize his presence because of how engrossed she was. Regina lifted her head up as he cleared his throat and upon seeing Daniel, she smiled."Hey Daniel""Long time no see Regina" He sounded as if he was just seeing her after so many years.. He's exaggerating."It's just a few days Daniel" "And you didn't care to check up on me!"Regina felt guilty instantly. He was right. She should have gone to his department and maybe invited him to lunch or something. it's a little something she could have done."I'm so sorry Daniel.. I've just been occupied with so much work"Chuckling.. He said "Everyone is.. But, that won't stop us from having our lunch breaks. Let's have lunch together""Uh! I don't think I'll be going , Daniel.. I still have a lot of files to go through and ther
The whole family sat around the large dining table at the sebastains Mansion, having a quiet and peaceful dinner to celebrate their lady achievements."Cheers, to more years filled with happiness, love, and lost importantly, a life free from those who wanted nothing but to ruin us" Hills paused and stared at everyone's faces, then he continued. "Cheers to a fresh start, a new beginning and a new found relationship..." He concluded and they all clicked their glasses together with smiles on their faces. As if they all had it all planned out, they all drank from the glass at the same time.Mirabelle quickly climbed on her seat.. "I wanna say something everyone!!" She said in a loud tone, getting everyone's attention."Go ahead dear" Regina urged her and everyone gave her their undivided attention but curiosity were written on their faces as they wondered what she has to say."First of all, I want to sincerely say sorry to my dearest mother for putting her through so much worry and leavi
It's been two weeks since everything. The fight, pursuit here and there and everything else. Now, everything bid back to being normal. Hills and Regina already returned back to New York with Mirabelle and enrolled her into a therapy session. It was really necessary since Damon played with her mind.In this two weeks, Regina was told not to pay visit to Mirabelle until the session is over and Regina dearly hope for her daughter to be well again. As for Hills, he's recovering pretty fast. Thankfully, the bullet did not go very deep into his legs and there's hope he'd walk again.Regina sat opposite Martina in the interrogation room. The room was filled with an uncomfortable silence, and Regina could sense the weight of guilt that hung heavily on Martina's shoulders. She cleared her throat gently, trying to break the tension."Martina," Regina began softly, Martina's head remained bowed. She couldn't even bring herself to look at Regina and Regina could actually see that."I'm sorry Reg
Damon was beside himself also and he felt really angry that his plans have yet again failed. He has been arrested after coming a long way. Just when he was about to finally get his target and live the life he has always dreamed of, things had to go this rough, yet again. Damon thought and decided that he is not going to let this slip and he is going to make sure that Hills and Regina pay one way or the other. He can't go to jail. He needs to come up with a perfect plan. As a police officer pushed him into his jail cell and took off the handcuff in his hands. Damon devised a plan. "Now stay there like a good boy!!"The officer turned to leave and just when he was close to exiting the cell, Damon moved swiftly towards him and slammed him against the wall then twisted his neck to the side very hard. The officer became unconscious. Damon quickly exchanged his clothes with that of the officer. He put on the uniform and it fits him perfectly, it's a good thing they have the same body si
As Hills paced back and forth in the police station, frustration mounting, his impatience reached a breaking point. Unable to contain himself any longer, he approached one of the officers working on tracking Regina's location and demanded an update. What is taking so long? Why aren't you doing anything to find Regina? We're running out of time here!" Hills felt agitated. Everything is just being too slow and time is not on his side.First, Mirabelle got missing and they haven't even found her yet, now Evelyn? Things are really getting out of hand and more complicated. "Sir, I understand your concern, but we are still actively working on locating her. This process can take time, and we're doing everything we can" One of the officer said"Time is of the essence! Regina's life, and more importantly, Mirabelle's life, are at stake here. We can't afford to waste any more time!" Hills lamented.Just as Hills was about to lose hope, the officer tracking Regina's location suddenly spoke up, b
As Damon continued to drive, his knuckles turning white from gripping the steering wheel, Charlotte's eyes widened with alarm as she glanced back, noticing the car that had been following them for miles."Um, Damon," Charlotte hesitated, her voice trembling slightly. "I think we're being followed."Damon's face contorted in anger as he slammed his hand against the steering wheel. "It must be Hills or Regina," he seethed through gritted teeth. "They must have found out about our plan.""But how is that even possible? I was sure they left the penthouse earlier today" Charlotte's heart raced, fear gripping her as she looked at Damon. "What should we do now? We're about to get caught Damon. Do something, we can't get caught now!" She pestered himDamon's expression hardened, his mind racing with a sudden change of plan. He grabbed his phone and began typing furiously, his actions shrouded in secrecy. Charlotte desperately sought answers, her voice filled with worry. "Damon, what are you
Hills and Regina followed the police to Damon's penthouse. As they approached the gate, Hills turned to Regina, his voice filled with uncertainty."Are you sure this is the penthouse, Regina?" he asked, casting a glance at the elegant building before them.Regina hesitated for a moment before responding. "I've only been here once, and that was when Damon showed me the house before our divorce. But based on what he told me, this should be it. Let's go in and have a look. I really hope we find him."They rang the doorbell, their hearts pounding with anticipation. To their surprise, the door swung open almost immediately, revealing Charlotte standing there. Both Regina and Charlotte locked eyes, memories of the past flashing through their minds. Regina couldn't help but remember the painful moment she caught Damon in bed with Charlotte, the betrayal etched into her memory. The pain she felt seeing her husband pants down with his secretary in their matrimonial bed. And the mockery Charlo
The door pulled open, revealing a fat pot-bellied old man instead of Damon, leaving Regina surprised. The old man looked at them with curiosity and asked, "What can I do for you folks?"Hills took a step forward and replied, "We're looking for a man named Damon. He used to live here before. Did you know him?"The old man shook his head slowly. "I'm sorry, but I don't know any man named Damon. I just recently moved in last month after the house was sold to me."Regina's heart sank, and she could feel tears welling up in her eyes. She stammered, "But... but he lived here. He's my ex husband and this was the house we lived in. And just few days back, he took my daughter and we suspect he'd. e back here. Please sir, tell us if Damon is inside. We need to get him arrested. My daughter's life is at stake here."The old man's expression softened as he noticed Regina's distress. "I'm really sorry to hear that, miss, but I genuinely have no knowledge about Damon or his whereabouts."Desperatio
The next morning, Charlotte took matters into her hands as she went upstairs with a tray of food. Since Damon said Mirabelle is now her responsibility and she can do whatever she likes with her, Charlotte felt really happy because this is the chance she needs to teach the daughter of the one person she hates, a lesson. All this years, she has been in this fruitless marriage, unable to bear her own child. It hurts when the doctor had said she had no womb. Like, until she dies, no one would call her mother. She would never have a child of her own. it felt like a curse. it felt as if Regina laid a curse on her never to bare a child of her own. 5 years ago, she had an affair with Damon and that was when Regina caught them red-handed and Damon was willing to divorce her. To Charlotte, she felt Regina is the reason for her childlessness. She's going to make sure mirabelle suffer. She would torture Mirabelle up to the point that she would regret being Regina's daughter.Charlotte would ha
Daphne sat beside Regina, her heart breaking as her friend's tears continued to flow. She gently brought a plate of food closer, placing it on the coffee table in front of them. "Regina, please try to eat something. I know it's hard, but keeping your strength up is important during this difficult time," Daphne softly pleaded, her voice filled with concern.Since Regina woke up, she have been crying non-stop which got Daphne really confused on how to cheer her up.Regina glanced at the plate but shook her head, her voice trembling with anguish. "How can I eat when I don't even know if Mirabelle has eaten? I can't find any peace until she's back with us." Her voice cracked between sobs, deep-rooted fear and desperation evident in her words.Daphne reached out, placing a gentle hand on Regina's trembling shoulder. "I understand your worry, Regina. We're all feeling it. But you have to trust that Hills is doing everything they can to find Mirabelle. They're professionals, and they won't s
