"Get the fuck out of here!" I yell as soon as I heard my door open. I knew what was coming. I knew what today was and I was dreading it.
"Venus May Moon! What did you say to us?" My mom screeches in my ear. I knew I had fucked up but I wasn't in the the mood for their crap this morning.
"You heard me mom. Take yourself and dad and get the hell out of my room. I'm not leaving this bed until tomorrow and then I'm heading straight to the airport. I'm done being here. I refuse to go to the Full Moon Bonfire and I refuse finding my mate until I'm good and ready. I'm 18 now you have no choice but to leave my fucking room and get the hell out of here!!!!" I knew as soon as I said that I was going to regret it but I didn't give a flying fuck.
Ever since I could remember it had been drilled in me and every woman in the pack that once we turn 18 we are to find our mate and get started on making a family. I absolutely refused to go that route and my parents knew it. I had always said when I was younger that as soon as I was 18 I was leaving the pack and traveling the world. Then and only when I was ready I would come back. Being the Apha's only daughter out of 4 children had it's advantages. First I was the youngest so I had the baby title. Then I was my father's only daughter which ment I was his princess and most times I got what I wanted. My older brothers adored me and where my protectors. Zeus was the oldest, then Ares and finally Eros. Yes I know we are all named after Greek and Roman gods and goddess. My mother had an obsession with Greek and Roman mythology. I had actually got that obsession from my mother and the first place I was headed on my adventure was Greece. But more about that later. Right now my ass was about to be lit on fire and I frankly didn't give 2 shits."VENUS MA...." My mom started to scream until she was interrupted by my brother Zeus.
"Whoa there little sister what crawled up your ass and died?" He laughed when he heard my tantrum.
"Screw you Zu-Zu." I replied while flipping him off.
"I bet it's her evil red monster visiting." My brother Eros chimed in.
"YOU KNOW WHAT EROS...I MAY BE 9 MONTHS YOUNGER THAN YOU BUT I SWEAR TO GOD I WILL BEAT YOUR ASS INTO THE GROUND IF YOU DON'T SHUT THE FUCK UP." I scream at him. His go to for my tantrums were because of my evil red monster or for people who actually had brains my period.
"Whoa whoa princess" my dad steps in "What as gotten into you? Are you feeling okay?"
The answer to that question in truth was I don't know really. Mostly I think it was fear. Fear of finding my mate tonight and everything I had hoped and dreamed would be thrown out. There was no way that my mate, if found, would allow me to travel away from them for a year. The mate bond was too strong for mates to be able to be away from each other. Every night for the past month I had been praying to the moon goddess to allow me to withstand the pull of the bond only for a year. I was only asking for a year. I had promised her after that year I would come home and go with my mate. I just wanted to experience a little of what the world has to offer before being locked down.
Slowly I sat up. Then without a reason why I started bawling.
"Mommy" I sobbed out "I'm so sorry. I don't know what came over me. I just am afraid of finding my mate tonight and not being able to go on my trip."While sitting in my bead blubbering like a pup I suddenly was wrapped up in a tight hug from my mother. She knew my fear and had felt the pain herself when she met my father. She herself when she turned 18 was headed on the same adventure I myself was about yo head on. But the night before she was to leave she had met my father. He was actually ok with her still leaving. He would have fine with her but he had just taken over as alpha and couldn't leave the pack. He even took my mother to the airport. But when she got on the plane she couldn't go through with it. The pull of the bond was so strong that just the thought of flying across seas made her heart break. She jumped off the plane and ran straight into my father's arms. This year though my brother Zeus, who is 21 was taking over for my father. Dad had planned a big trip for them to go a follow the plans my mother had 23 years ago.
"Venus, sweetheart. I completely understand what you are going through. But if I ever hear you talk that way to me again you won't have to worry about a mate bond tying you down. I myself will tie you down." She said while laughing.
I looked up at her and smiled. " It won't happen again I'm so sorry mom." I replied."Well now with this little tantrum done, can I finally wish my princess a happy birthday. " My dad chuckled

Venus P.O.V..... Saying goodbye to my parents and brothers was the hardest thing I have ever done. I had almost decided not to go, but the thought went away as quickly as it had come about. I was on a mission and I couldn't let the fear of leaving my family stop me. The trip from our small pack airport to Sea-Tac airport was quick and smooth. Now I was safely nestled into a first class cubby. There was alot of room. I had my own T.V. and mini bar.
