“What joke is this?” he asked with folded arms. “Do you think this is a comedy show?”

“Great, at least you know what a comedy show is. This means you all are not as clueless as we think.”

He frowned even harder at my sarcastic remarks.

“I do not have time for this. The next time you knock on this gate would be your last. You will be shot down like a dog. My snipers are ready to achieve that.”

He pointed to the top of the gate to show that his soldiers were ready to shoot us without questions.

“I’ll evade your snipers and break through your gate.”

“Reinforced steel with alloy rims barricading its joints. Even an alpha can’t break through and you are not an alpha.”

I laughed. “Fine, you caught us. But you know your engineering. This shows that you’re well educated. I’d like to see your alpha.”

“No.”

“I can easily move faster than a blur and head for the palace.”

He bawled out laugh
