I stayed by his side while he healed from the wounds he had suffered at the snow pack. His wounds had been caused by so much that I didn’t know how to help.A lot of open wounds here and there and the machines beeping to show that there were unhealed wounds within his body after using his powers at maximum levels. It was a miracle he was even alive after what we had even gone through. The scientists on the other hand were not a bother seeing as they were healing nicely in their rooms.I wished I could have been there to protect him from the pack he was fighting but I wasn’t strong enough. All I could do was support him. I was weak and not strong enough.I stayed by his bed while his machine beeped. The events of that day played out as I saw how he displayed massive strength in front of me.Never had I seen such a display of strength in my life. He was surely going to rival the alphas around the packs in neighboringJadeThe smug smile on his face irritated me but I would have to put up with it for a while longer if I needed to get used to it. This face was going to be the face I would be seeing everyday until my job had been done.“You’re not saying anything,” he got me out of my trance. I stared at him again and the urge to say no came back stronger than last time.“I…” ‘love Conan’ was what I wanted to say but held myself. It wasn’t necessary. This wasn’t for Conan, this was for my children. Besides, he was in a coma. He wouldn’t know that I was going out with the alpha. Even if he awoke, I would explain everything to him and he would understand anyway.“Do you want to go out for dinner later?” he asked. “It’s looking like you have a lot to say but can’t say it. So does that mean that I successfully showed you my lovely side?”He was smiling at me but there was nothing funny. He was still just a jackass to me.“How about we take
Brad“Last time I checked, he was a beta and not an alpha. Only true alphas have the ability to reform muscles.”I was going to make sure she knew that Conan was an ordinary wolf. To reform muscles meant that whatever damage gotten from an enemy would be reduced to a certain degree the next time your bones received that exact amount of force.I hated to be the only one with half a brain in this hospital but it seemed like it would be like that for a while. These delusional people were thinking that Conan survived a pack ending disaster. Did it mean that he was now stronger than I was?I had never been in a serious fight before. One that actually threatened my legitimacy as an alpha. So how bones reformed or anything was still beyond my capabilities.“Does he have wolfsbane in his system?” I asked as she nodded. “But his body is fighting against it and trying to keep him safe,” she said, packing
BradI didn’t want to do any of that. I wanted something more exquisite. Something better than just a date. Something that could lead to us doing something within the bedroom. I didn’t want to stay with her and it would just be a romantic evening without the romance.“Hey,” she smiled at him. “Are we still going to the mountain?”“Yes. We are.”I ignited the car and drove through the busy street heading for the mountains. We reached a crossroad before she pointed to the roads before me.“Let’s go through there,” she said, elated for some odd reason.“Why?” I was skeptical as to why she would want me to drive through a different road from what I had earlier planned. “That is the human city. We have our own mountains.”“Yeah, I like theirs better. Let’s just go to one of their mountains. Please. I’ve seen the mountains here already.”I stared at her as she clasped her hands together before I sighed, resig
Brad“What sort of sick joke is this?” I asked, seeing them crawl out of their little spaces as they attacked me with their wrenches and guns. They slashed away on my chest as the clothes I had were torn apart and this had me mad. What were they doing?!I tapped one of them down with a flick of my pinky and the other I sliced his throat with my claws.Evading and kicking, one of them fell apart before I could do much to him.The crowd got bigger and bigger and I knew I had to handle this quickly or I would have bigger problems.Using my speed, I broke the hands off everyone around me that were currently fighting against me.When I was done, I looked behind me to see the men sprawled out on the ground, bleeding and crying for help.“How did that play out in your heads?” I asked them as someone appeared before me with a gun.“Like this,” he said, placing the gun to my face and firing it.It hit m
Jade“So what do we do? Do we help them?” he asked. How could he be so reckless? What was he thinking using the same force he would use against a werewolf on a human? How could he be so cruel?Even Conan was very careful to not kill humans. He wanted everyone to live in peace. He didn’t want any human dead on his watch.Brad on the other hand was not a very nice person to begin with.He didn’t care who was on the end of the stick, he would use his powers however he saw fit. He could wipe out an entire civilization because he was bored.I was mad at him. I wanted so badly to strangle him where he sat. This was supposed to be a day to not think of yesterday or my children or Conan but just nature and fun.I couldn’t have that because he had decided to be an asshole. “I’m so sorry,” he apologized again. “I didn’t mean to be that guy.”“Well you were!” I yelled. “What were you thinking?”“I’m
Brad“So what brings you to this part of the world?” the man asked me as I looked around the room I was in.“I need to go to the snow pack,” I said as he chuckled. “What’s funny?”“What do you want to do? Cause chaos in there?”“No,” I sighed. “I just need to let off some steam and what better way to do it than to attack those who have attacked my beta.”“Those people are advanced in their own way. I doubt we’d be able to cause the destruction that they have caused us.”“I’m sorry, did you say we?”“Well, did you think you were going to go without us?” he laughed. “I already have plans with the other alphas to go into the snow pack and wreak havoc for what they did to my beta. They broke his body. I heard there were some experimental creatures that were brought to deal with our betas and soldiers. I will not let that slide.”So it was true. Jade and the rest of the people who had come back were not lying.
JadeWherever he was he clearly didn’t want be disturbed. If he did he would have left his phone to be open incase of emergencies. What if his pack was being attacked? Had he thought about it?No, he had been selfish enough to let it go.A knock on my door had me opening it to see more maids entering with things to use in cleaning the room.Apparently they had it prepared for me so now I was here they were about to make sure the room was perfect for me.I looked at the man standing by the door and immediately walked to him.“We are having a council meeting by the garden. You should come with us while the maids do their thing in your room.”I nodded following him out as the guards bowed to us.It felt weird having to work as a leader for this pack. I thought no one viewed me as important but somehow I had been seen as important.I entered the garden and found at least twenty people there. This w
Brad“What do we do?” I asked the alphas who shrugged. The beast was so large we were skeptical as to how we would bring one such an animal. This was what Conan had fought? And he had not fought one or two but more than four of these creatures. How was it possible?I had not weighed the strength of this creature but I could tell that the creature was going to be very strong.“Let’s climb up and take out that creature.”That was my idea. The alphas thought me crazy but I ran up the wall of the mountain with my speed. They followed in later on and when I reached the top, I folded my fist and pushed myself forward to the jaw of the beast, cracking its jaws wide open with my attack. It fell to the ground bleeding and I found it easy to take out the minions around. They fought but they did not put up much of a fight. These were snow wolves I presumed. They were smaller than the reports had said they
ConanI had won the fight between Brad and I. The fight which had spanned over years and decades and finally came up victorious. He returned to his human self as I did the same. I looked around to see the grounds which had been broken and filled with blood and machines.“All of this just to take me down,” I chuckled as he slowly healed and sat up, but he was too tired to do anything.“Don’t flatter yourself,” he coughed up a tooth. “It was for an entire country.”“And yet I took down your entire army single-handedly.”He growled at me. “Who are you? What kind of monster are you?”“The monster that you created, Brad!” I yelled in anger. “I used to have a home, a family, a mother and a father who loved me. I used to have a brother I thought was my better half but he turned out to be a monster.”Suddenly he got the hint of what I was saying as his eyes widened. “Yes Brad, we are both siblings. You were supposed to be my brother, my friend and the one who would watch my back. Instead you
ConanI stared at the robots before me that had halted, before looking at Brad, Trina and a strange lady in a snowy pack uniform. She had to be the one controlling these beasts. She stepped forward with a devious smile on her face.“You were the one who put my sister in a body bag,” she laughed. “You beat her so much she could not survive, so she succumbed to her wounds. That was my younger sister. I am going to make sure these machines deal so much damage to you, you wouldn’t even feel your jaw by the time they dislocate your body parts with punches.”I yawned. “You show up at my doorstep intending to have a war with me. I think we should start this war before arguing over who is stronger and who is not.”She laughed. “A feisty man I see. Very well. Let’s see how feisty you will be by the time they are done with you.”She pushed a button as the robots all turned to me.I counted at least twenty robots. The last
JadeI had not seen this coming. Now I knew we were really screwed. Conan has struggled against one of these creatures before being jumped by multiple. None of us could stand against this creature. It was too powerful for us to fight. We had to run out of here and give up the pack.“What is that thing?” a general gasped with the other warriors on the field watching this strange creature walk towards us.It seemed to have a few minor upgrades. Its arms were now made of iron, it wasn’t seven or eight foot tall like the last time. It had a sleek design but this was made to rival alpha’s and I was sure all of these new designs made it lighter and faster.“We need to get back to the pack and get everyone to safety,” I noted. “If we stay here we are going to die and lose everything. We need to get the people in the pack to safety first.”But the generals were still fascinated by what they were seeing.“General!
Jade“Good luck,” she hugged me. “And make sure you don’t die or I will kill you myself.”I wasn’t going to argue with her on how ridiculous that was but instead I would leave her to her thoughts.I headed out with the generals and the elders all wearing their armors. Our army had gone ahead of us to halt them ahead of time before they would get into the pack. If they got in, it was over. They would destroy our pack and kill our civilians too.We had nowhere to run or hide, this pack was all we had going for us.“So… have we sent word to our allies?” I asked while we rode in the battle van to the battlefield.“No one responded so it’s either they haven’t seen the message yet or they don’t want help. Either way we are on our own,” an elder responded. That was a strange thing. Every alpha was supposed to respond to a distress call from another alpha. It was an unwritten rule, unless the two packs had a silent war going on between them.We got to the field and I found how deadly it was.
Brad“That’s because you might be extremely cheap with the way you were banging her throughout. But you should know this,” she threatened. “The next time you sleep with someone else is the day I leave you for someone better and take all my forces with me. Do you hear me?”I could easily push her away but Trina had one of the best land forces who could fight even dangerous rogues without breaking a sweat and I needed them by my side. I had no choice but to accept her decision.“Yes,” I said. A knock came on the door as I opened it to find a maid there.“What is it?” I asked.“There is a call for you on line three.”I slammed the door on her face, zipping to take up the call.“Hello,” I said.“Conan is out of the game,” the voice said. “He’s been in a coma in the hospital for days now. I don’t think he’s going to make it out alive.”This gave me hope for my invasion. With Conan out of the equation, I would kill off his pack without difficulty. He was the greatest asset his pack had.*
Brad“Well,” I smiled, spreading my arms. “There goes my element of surprise.”“Oh please,” she stood up, zipping to stand before me. “I wasn’t expecting anyone to show up.”She brought her face too close to mine and her cold breath hit my hot face. The tension between us climbed to greater heights before she grabbed my hand and zipped me to a room where I tore her clothes and she removed mine.I was inside her within minutes while she moaned and we broke the bed with our combined force. When we were done, we laid in the mess we had created, fascinated by each other's strengths.“Does your wife give you sex the way I give you?” she smirked naughtily which had me kissing her breast before sitting up.“She’s not to be in this conversation,” I said. I hated having intimate discussions with those I slept with. They were not to know about my immediate family. That was something I should keep away from us. “I see you don’t want to talk about her. Very well then, why are you in my pack?“I c
BradI paced around the bedroom, wondering why my men weren’t picking up their calls.“Do you think they panicked and chewed the pill?” Trina asked.“That’s their own business.”“You held their wives and children captive and told them to track and take back your children or you would kill them. They could take the pill just to save their children.”I didn’t care about the dead. What I wanted now was a way to get back my children. If that was not going to be possible then there was only one thing to do. I would have to get back to the snow pack and make an alliance with them. I was sure they would want to know who had almost killed their queen.“I’ll be back,” I said, leaving her in the room as I headed for the garage to get into my car and drive off.The desert wolves were about to learn the meaning of what surrender looked like.I would first take back my back from the hands of my conquerors and then tear down their packs. After that, I would head for Conan’s pack and kill him and J
JadeShe cleaned a tear which fell off her eye, trailing a line down to her cheek. This must have been a very painful experience for her but I was still wondering why she was telling me this story.“I left him and headed out of town to come here,” she sighed. “The last time I checked on him, he was married to a fellow werewolf with four children and leading his pack as a warrior and the most feared one in his pack. I have wondered over the years if maybe if I had stayed with him, would I have brought him peace or agony?”“The only way to have known anything about that would have been you trying to get back with him and working your differences,” I smiled, now knowing what she was bringing the story for.“Exactly,” she smiled. “Now that’s the same thing for you and Conan. Instead of leaving him where he is in the hospital and running off in the model of the night like I did, not knowing if you were meant for him or not, you can work out your differences with him. “I recently found out
JadeI told her everything about what had happened and throughout my entire story, she didn’t interrupt me or say anything that distracted me.She was the only human friend I had made who actually listened to me. She was different from most of the people I had met.Even werewolves were not as good as she was. When I was done, she smiled at me, dragging me in for a hug while placing my head on her shoulder.“I’m very sure he wouldn’t listen to my pleas,” I sighed. “He probably hates me right now. I’m sure of it.”“No he doesn’t,” she sighed. “You have to talk to someone to know their true intentions.”“I don’t know about that. I’m sure he hates me. I betrayed him, Helena. I brought him to his knees. That’s not how a mate should behave. I should help him and not destroy him. I destroyed him.”My voice cracked while I let her go, standing to my feet to pace around the room.“And do you want to know the worst part of all of this?” I asked as she shook her head. “It’s the part where when
