This gave me the notion that these guys were more than just rogues. They had gates, few guards guarding the gates and they also had a civilized society with men who looked like elders accompanied by actual working guards.

This was not the way rogues operated. Rogues would operate in a brutal manner.

They fought now and never asked questions.

The elder who had spoken to us looked like he was trying to avoid anything which had to do with war. He spoke in a calm manner and tried to be polite.

That was not the way rogues acted. They would try to tear through their opponents and make sure they showed dominance.

“Let’s retreat for now,” I suggested as they all looked at me.

“Are you crazy?!” yelled V. “Don’t tell me you buy into this bullshit. We need to break down that door and get our people.”
