Stunt II

I awoke after I had been asleep to see a nurse sleeping in a chair.

“Hey,” I croaked as the nurse looked around sleepily before looking at me. She immediately jumped to her feet to be with me.

“You’re awake!” she screamed as I put out my hand to push her away.

“Water,” I said.

She rushed to the table to get me a glass of water which she gave to me.

I suddenly felt a bit lighter. From the heavy pain I had received to this moment, I wondered what had happened.

“Let me call the doctor, Jade,” she said as I stretched my hand to pull her back.

I didn’t want to see her face and I didn’t want her to see me in this condition.

She was still a bitch to me. A loser who would never amount to anything.

She had tried taking Brad away from me before but she would not succeed. I wanted another doctor who knew what they were doing.
