In the middle of the night, as stars shimmered above and the moon shined throughout the dark ink sky, its light lighted the way of our beloved character who currently was up to no good, now you're probably wondering why was she still awake on this unholy time.

Well to answer your question Midnight isn't your typical 15 years old, no she was far more mature than most kids of her age and what she was about to do can send her straight to jail with a life's worth of imprisonment. With that looming thought in mind, didn't even phase her one bit for money was still money and if she doesn't do this then her head will be the price for the collateral damage.

It wasn't her fault in the first place she only got dragged into this mess without her consent and now she must do everything to survive. She has already done a good job at it for the past 5 years,

It won't be that hard right?

The sound of twigs snapping into two broke her from her thoughts, she sighed. There was no backing out now. The plan was simple enough to kill her target, burn the body, report back to them, take the money, and walk away like it never happened easy enough right? Screw guilt.

Every step she took felt heavier than the last like her shoes suddenly become lead, its weight pulling her to a stop. Midnight could only swallow the lump forming on her throat but made no plans to stop whatsoever, her nerves were all over the place making her fidgety than usual. Biting her lip did not still the bundle of nerves and as she got closer did she dreaded her decision.

The information she was given on this said subject was that her target was a nun in the local church in town and currently resides with her parents, she was known by the whole town to be a simple and mundane person but she learned that in this past 5 years no one is simple as they appeared to be. She also made her own little research or rather went through the system, That's when she realized her target was no mere nun, Lynne as the file says was actually the personal hitman of the 3rd Mafia god. She could feel her stomach churn, how can you expect a mere 15-year-old with no experience to kill someone with a high status in just one night,

She was screwed from the beginning.

She crouched down behind a bush far as possible to avoid detection, her target was in her scheduled practice. The file stated that she was in her mid-20s skilled in hand-to-hand combat but it did no justice to how she really looked, she was beautiful up close. From the features alone Midnight was sure she had Asian blood in her, her tan complexion and slender body were not hard to distinguish not to mention her slightly smaller eyes.

She averted her look, on the left was a small shed where they probably keep the gardening tools. Overall she was amazed by the architecture of the place. Different flowers bloomed around the stream of water leading to a small pond below it which was also littered with flowers. A cobblestone pathway with lamps posted at the sides, a big European mansion stood behind Lynne from the information this is the target's house or rather her parents' house.

Midnight took out her dagger and gripped the handle tight, the blade gleamed illuminating the light from the moon. She waited for the nun to finish her set of knives, after a few minutes the target only stood at the clearing. Panting for breath, wiping the sweat from her face and easily tucking the loose strand of her hair behind her ear.

This was crossing to everything she stood for but she had no choice, taking a deep breath to steady herself.

          She whispered 'Now.'

With that thought in mind, she dashed forward dagger at hand. Lynne turned just in time grabbing her wrist in an iron tight hold and judo flipping her. Midnight shrieked as her back came in contact with the hard ground floor, pain started to throb on her lower back and quickly spread through her whole body. Writhing on her side, the dagger lay forgotten a few inches away from her. Lynne towered over her petit form, a scowl on her face. Eyebrows furrowed. She pulled out her gun and Midnight could only watch in shock as the women rested the cold metal barrel on her forehead.

"Who are you and why are you here?!?" the nun crouched down the gun never leaving from its place

"Why should I answer you?" Midnight retorted back, her mouth dry like a savanna desert in the summer. She tried to salivate the insides but it seems like bile was the one threatening to come out rather than saliva, yup she was going to see her dinner again.

a short click could be heard signaling the safety was switched off "I think this answers your question." Lynne hummed certainly enjoying the others terrified look

"Then do it, shot me so that your dearest mother can hear the gunshot." Midnight challenged putting up a strong facade "You don't want your dear mother to be heartbroken right? She would probably have a heart attack if she finds out her daughter isn't who she thinks she is." She finished the sinking feeling in her gut worsened

"Why you little witch." the target snarled, pushing the gun harder on Midnights head that would surely leave a bruise

"Now...now it's bad to swear sister." amused by her own teasing, the nun grab her arm and hoisted the criminal up, a hiss of pain shortly followed but she simply brushed off the kids' pain. Tossing Midnight inside like a sack of potatoes, while she locks the door behind her sealing the brat's fate.

Midnight at this point didn't know what was happening, at one point her head was screaming in pain and for another, her vision started to blur when it became clearer she couldn't believe what she saw. The shed she thought where they stored the gardening tools and was too normal looking outside was actually a storage room for different kinds of guns and other weapons.

Powerless at this point, Midnight silently obeyed "Ok, I go by Midnight, and as for why I'm here I think you're smart enough to figure it out."

"Is this a joke? For them to send out a kid to kill me." Lynne went into a laughing fit which only made the kid, red in embarrassment

Midnight pouted "For a sister you're mean."

"Yeah, I could be pretty mean sometimes so what, you're going to die anyway." The Nun mocked coming down from her high

"Wait, it wasn't my fault they made me do it." Midnight reasoned out, she couldn't do anything at this point the only door in this structure was behind Lynne and even if she could grab a weapon behind her would result in a bullet planted on her head

"Who are they then?" The sister asked again

With a sigh of defeat, Midnight replied "they call themselves the Crimson Peak gang." She didn't miss how Lynne's eyes widen at the mention of the group "how did a kid get involve with the Crimson Peak gang?"

Midnight stilled

"It's a long story." a shrug, the nun gently lowered her gun and gave Midnight a sly smile. There was already a plan forming in her cunning mind and Midnight could only look at her skeptically,

Not trusting that smile one bit.

"Let's make a deal kid." a gesture for her to relax "because I have a feeling there's more to you than meets the eye."

Midnight stared at her and tilt her head a little

"what kind of deal?" She questioned not liking the whole ordeal

"In exchange for sparing your life be my little spy in crimson peak." The nun replied extending her arm towards Midnight

"I have a feeling if I agree to this more shit will come my way and bite me on the ass." pouting at the statement, on the other hand, it's better than death though

"Depends, it's fun that way." The sister exclaimed while Midnight let out a shaky chuckle

    "Deal" shaking their hands together.

"So... I can call you by your first name right?" Midnight asked letting go "how did you know my name? You know what don't answer that." The nun said waving it off

"Be sure to come back here tomorrow night."

"Why?" stuffing both her hands into her pockets

"Just do it." Lynne commanded as she opened the door of the shed "oh by the way tell anyone and I'll kill you." Lynne threatened the 15-year-old and walked out of the shed while Midnight slowly followed her.

In the next couple of nights,

     the two silently exchange information.
