Kari's POv.There was darkness all around me, in this darkness there was an annoying continuous beeping sound. I groaned as my whole body ached. Suddenly, the smell of strawberries and watermelon filled my nose, calming me. I sighed."Kari?" Came his voice. I felt the tingles as he ran a hand over my head. I groaned again and turned my head into his hand. I heard a door open and footsteps enter the room."I thought you said she was awake." I heard Alexander's voice."She is more responsive and she groaned.""Too loud," I muttered, and I felt three sets of eyes on me. I pried my eyes open and hissed at the light, squeezing my eyes shut again. I heard footsteps again and the lights were switched off, leaving only a lamp in the corner on. I opened my eyes and blinked again, everything was a little blurry."It's good to see you awake Luna Princess." Came a familiar voice from my left. Kari's POVI had the feeling of a weight on my chest and the feeling of someone watching me. There was light chatter and gurgling in the room. I opened my eyes to see a pair of big blue eyes staring back at me. I scented the smell of baby. I smiled when a voice came over to me."Told you we would see you again mumma." I smiled at Matthew, who was so close our noses were nearly touching, his eyes swirling between blue and purple."Mumma's little one," I said groggily. I looked around to see Grant sitting with the girls on his lap, Ingrid had Alexander, Olivia was standing with Julian and Merida had Joshua, who was sucking his thumb and looking at my breast. I smiled at them all. Grant handed the girls over and came over to help me into a sitting position. I hugged Matthew to me."Can I have Joshua before he burns a hole through my boob," I said and everyone chuckled. Merida swapped children with me and I let Joshua latch on, he latched quickly and sucked like his life depended on it."

Grant's POVI sat next to her whilst she slept. The pups were asleep in their playpen that had been set up in Kari's hospital room. The three boys huddled together, and I noticed the two girls were huddled in a separate pup pile with Joshua. Maybe we should start putting him in the cot with the girls. Even though they were all in two separate piles, the piles were pretty much next to each other. I was contented with my little family, and once she was well enough, I would be taking her away for a long weekend, just the two of us, so I could sink my teeth back into the skin on her neck, and this time my mark would stay right where it belonged.'Our mark.' Zeus grumbled and I smiled at my wolf who was watching out mate through my eyes. She had been right on the mark when she said she felt empty when the bond had been removed and I had felt the same. Grant's POVI wore a thin white cotton shirt and white shorts, forgoing anything on my feet as we would be on the soft sand of the beach. Zeus was like a puppy in my head as he was joined back with Hela, but I knew we wouldn't be back to our full strength until the mating process had completed, and we had decided to let them both lose during the pack run tonight when the full moon was at it's fullest.
