Kit was beyond angry about the whole thing, knowing they would all be dragged through a trail and have to relive everything again. Now they had, even more, to deal with, with the upcoming trial. The prosecution already had everything ready because of the trail before. It was all going to happen quickly, and then they hoped things could calm down for all the families involved.
Kit and Mitsuhide were both going to be called as witnesses. They would have to talk about the things they had tried very hard to forget on the stand. Everything was getting to her right now though

She looked around the room they would be in most of the day and saw that a few of the other families were there along with the young infants with them. It seemed no one was going to take a chance with the welfare of the babies in question. Six half-siblings that were born a week apart and most of them on the same day. “That was perfect.” The DA said to her as they walked back to the room where the witnesses were being held. She had almost forgot about the things that went on before she took the stand. She was riding a high of knowing that she probably sealed the deal on Cindy’s conviction with her testimony. She was smiling when she entered the room. It was beyond a smile, though. It was that she was beaming in a way. She knew after that Cindy would be put away for the longest possible time. All because her lawyer brought it up.“That is a nice look,” Mitsuhide said as he looked at his wife who was smiling with the happiest smile, he had seen her with, probably ever. “What is for?”

As Kit looked out into the backyard, she could see the pieces of trash thrown everywhere that was coated in the slimy concoction that looked like congealed blood. It was something that could inspire horror movies from the looks of it. She understood why Mitsuhide didn’t want her to see it or the other guys in the house as well. She knew they would downplay anything just to keep her calm. She almost smiled at that. She knew they all were trying. Things were looking like that other shoe was falling right now. Kirsten’s arrest and the charges that were pending that involved Kit were on the forefront of everyone’s minds. However, it was the fact that she was also being charged with conspiracy along with her mother on some, if not all, of the same charges.
