Chapter 6

Author’s POV:

Jerry, Ron and Mack were looking at the lack from a hill around fifty meters apart from the lake. There was a tree beside them. But from that place the lake is not well viewed. One by one there were using one binocular to see more clearly. They had come here just after their breakfast and it had been more than three hours. Ron was fatty and got him tired by then. Being tired he asked others “will it help us to explore the lake?”. “What do you mean by this?” both replied all along instantly. Ron replied “I mean just standing still like now, I don’t think it will be fruitful”. “Then, what do you suggest”, asked Mack. “Do you want us to go in or to go back home. You can go home if you want”, angrily said Jerry. “No, no, no, I am not telling that. “What I am telling is that I am hungry”, Ron replied with a frustrated face. “Then you should bring some food for your big stomach”, Jerry replied. “I have brought some, but want to share with you two”, Ron said with a smiling face. Then Ron offered then a sandwich to each. Jerry was hesitating to take that but Ron forcefully made him to take that. After having the sandwich, they drank water from their water pot and started guarding the lake again. 

A young boy was looking at the three children and was trying to understand what they were doing there. He was behind a tree and was in an informal well dressed. Staying behind the tree he phoned someone. It rang but not got picked up by anyone. He got out a pistol and cleaned it and aimed at the children. At that very moment he heard a sound and put the pistol down and went away.

“Aye, aye come in security eleven, come in”, the head of security officer was talking using his walkie talkie. “Yes, sir”, sound came from the other side. He further asked him if everything was going fine. “Yes, sir. Everything is going fine”, reply came. “Stay tight and focus”, the head of security officer ordered him. The sound replied “Aye, sir”.

The inspector entered into the Lusie’s grocery store and said hello, Lusie. And asked how was she doing. “Hey, inspector. Doing good”, replied Lusie. He took some medicines and few bottles of beer and came to Lusie. While Lusie was calculating the price, the inspector said to her that he is a bit confused. He also added that he must meet the man who took Jerry home. “Are you serious, is it needed to investigate the incident so far. Don’t you think you are doing too much”, Lusie asked the inspector. “You don’t know Lusie, a boy was lost around that area three months ago. And according to the saying of the family of that boy, the boy used to talk about a man who contacted with him several time around the Lake. You are lucky to have your son back”, the inspector kept talking. Lusie got afraid and exclaimed with fear that what he was talking. Inspector paid the money and said “According to Jerry’s statement and the boy’s parents’ statements I shall go for the man. Let’s see what comes then”, after saying these he left the store fast with his goods. Lusie fall in thinking of fear.  

In a summer camp just outside that town, people were having fun. Some were playing volleyball, some were swimming, some were gossiping with friends or family members standing or sitting on benches. Children were moving here and there. All were in fancy dresses. Deisy with her friends Zen and others were having some food sitting surrounding a table. They were talking loudly and laughing and poking each other. 

They all three are tired now. Thus, they decided to go home for launch and come back as soon as possible. The man saw them going away and came to the spot where they were staying. There he searched for something but could not found anything much. Then he stood up and looked around and his eyes stuck on the lake. He thought in himself “So, this is the reason why you were here. You were looking at the lake. But for what? This is neither a joke nor a tourist spot to visit for fun or experience something.”

A woman went to a room calling Braden, Braden… He was not in his room. Seeing that the woman went to the dining table where her husband was waiting for her to join him. Seeing her, he said “Come, sit here. Have your launch. He will be back”. “I am worried for him. He often uses to go to the lake. I do not want to lose his too”, the woman said with crying. “Oh, he will be fine. He was his brother, beloved little brother. Let him satisfy himself. Now have something”, the man told her. The woman took some food in her plate and started eating slowly. “The inspector phoned me a few minutes ago. He was asking to know if Brine had any adventurous habit or not”, the man was talking. 

Inspector Isaac was sitting on his chair in the police station and was thinking about the answer he got from Jerry “The Sound”. And in other case the traffic light. How these two was connected! John asked the permission from him “May I come in?” staying at the door of Isaac’s cabin. “Yes, John. Is there any information?”, asked Isaac. He replied in the affirmative and said that the traffic light was fully ok but it was set there only two days ago. Hearing that Isaac told “So, the light was changed just after the accident. And it was placed the new one to make us fool”. Isaac smiled and ordered John to check if there was any camera or not. Since the light post was behind all these then there must be several cameras which were set by our target. John replied that that was ok and left the room. 

Again, the three little investors took there place just like morning. They were looking at here and there around them and sometimes with the binocular. Jerry was looking at the lake and realize that he never seen any movement of the water in the lake. Then he talked with the other two. They were confused whether they have focused on that or not. They were looking at each other. Their faces were seemed like they were happy thinking that they have found out something. In the meantime, they heard a light sparking sound. They noticed that it was coming from an electric transmitter that was behind the lake. And suddenly they heard a vey loud sound. Hearing the sound Jerry told “That was it”. Then again, the light was sparking. They got frightened and started going away from there. They were running with full speed and was talking among themselves. While they were running, suddenly they stopped seeing a man in front of them who was smiling evilly…
