Blasé woke up before Storm, he stared down at her, his Luna, his mate, his wife. “Mate is very beautiful.” Asher cooed. “Yes, she is.” Blasé agreed. “She’s finally ours forever.” Blasé and Asher laid there admiring their mate as she slept peacefully in their arms. “Our pups are awake and want to come in.” Asher chuckled as he enhanced Blasé’s hearing. “Pwease.” He heard River’s little voice plead. “Don’t cwry sissy.” He heard Rebel comfort his little sister. “Daddy.” Ryder knocked on the door. “Boys, River.” Megan and Marco called out. “Let mama and daddy rest.” Blasé mind linked Marco. “Go ahead and let them in.” Marco slowly opened the door and as soon as the door opened River ran to Blasé and hugged him tight. She was sobbing and shivering so hard that Storm felt her fear. “River, my baby.” Storm gasped. “What’s wrong?” She asked taking her daughter into her arms. “Mama.” River sniffled into her mama’s arms and then went quiet.

“Mother.” “Undra?” Storm asked looking dow

Storm smiled and agreed to Blasé’s suggestion. Blasé walked his mate outside to see their pups rolling around on the ground with Zack. “Daddy!” Ryder squealed followed by Rebel and River. He crouched down to pick up his pups, but they had a different idea. “Get ’em!” Rebel yelled as he, his brother, sister and cousins all pounced on him. Before he knew it he had seven little pups jumping on him knocking him to the ground. River took advantage and started tickling her daddy. Storm stood by and watched her mate being attacked by their pups. She laughed so hard she cried. Blasé was finally able to get the pups off of him. “Okay, daddy needs to go and do some work.” “Awe, daddy.” Ryder pouted. “Don’t pout, I’ll be home…tell ya what, I’ll be home in time for dinner and we can have pizza, wings, cheese stixs and watch movies.” He suggested. “And icream.” Ryder bounced on his toes. “And cousys, auntweies and uncys?” River asked clinging to Axel as he held her close to his side. By the time they arrived home Marco was fighting to control Jax. “Jax, please stay calm.” Marco begged his wolf. “NO! We need little mate; we must find her, and I must be let out to find her scent when we land.” Jax growled. “Marco.” Blasé shook his shoulder. “It’s Jax. He’s fighting to be let out.” He sighed. “He wants to find her scent.” Blasé looked straight into Marco’s eyes and allowed Asher to come forward. “Jax, my dear son.” Asher started. “I need you to remain calm. I know this is hard for you, but River needs for you to use your head not your anger. She needs you to listen and follow instructions from your uncle’s, granpa’s, aunt’s, granma’s, your mom and me, your dad.” He told Jax rubbing his arm. He then pulled Jax closer and placed his cheek against his son’s cheek, a sign of affection for one’s family. “I will try father.” Jax sobbed. “We need her like a fish needs water.” His body shook with a hard sob. “I know my son, trust that we will find her.

“Are you sure she won’t wake up?” Courtney whispered. “She’ll sleep until we get to the safe house.” Max told her. “Now keep an eye out.” He huffed at her as he followed her carrying River in his arms. “All I know is that she better not wake up!” She snapped. “If you don’t shut up, she WILL wake up!” He snapped back. “Now lead us outta here.” He glared at her. “Fine.” She grumbled and followed the tunnel the same way they got in. After a few minutes of silence Courtney spoke up again. “We don’t have all three, what will your contact say?” “I don’t know but this little female is worth more.” “Ppfftt, how do you think that?” She rolled her eyes “She’s still very young, she can be trained to be submissive and do what she’s told. But first we will have to break her beast.” He coldly said. “Won’t that kill her?” She gasped. “Do you really care?” He quirked any eyebrow at her. “Well…no not really but like you said, she’s still very young.” Courtney answered but in

Kasper was waiting at the tree line for the rest of his Shadow trackers. “Babaloo, when did you realize that you were a Shadow?” “I was about five or six. Griz decided to up my training.” Babaloo shrugged. “We had no idea what was happening to me.” “Yo, Fire are you ready?” One of the Shadow’s asked. “Yep, we’ll talk more later.” Kasper told Babaloo. “Yeah but who’s fire?” Babaloo asked. “Oh, we have code names, it’s a way to protect our family.” “Makes sense.” “Is everybody here?” Fire (Kasper) asked. “Yeah, let’s get started.” Milo said. “Alright, here’s what the job is.” Fire started. “The young female pup, 3, belongs to Alpha Blasé and Luna Storm SilverMoon and their youngest one in a set of triplets, 2 boys and her. She was taken by a former female pack member who also had her sights set on being Alpha Blasé’s Luna but he, of course, found his true fated mate.” He stopped and looked at all the black clad faces. “One of the males is former Alpha Maxwell Green

I spent many a day running around that cabin.” Babaloo smiled at his memories. “How did they even find it?” Griz asked. “They must’ve gotten lost because no one would’ve ever found it otherwise.” Babaloo frowned. “Well, they are trying to hide and stay off the grid.” Doltyn said. “Yeah, but they don’t know where they are. They don’t know that this is bear country. We can use that to our advantage.” Babaloo grinned. “Also, what they don’t know is that my gramps built a secret tunnel that the door is in the room that I slept in.” “So, we have a way in.” Silas said with excitement. “Yes, but we still need to be careful.” Mimi reminded him. “The big dumb bear forgets we still have to deal with the four males.” She glared at him. “They won’t be a problem.” Babaloo snorted. “You never, NEVER, underestimate your opponent!” Mimi gritted. “She’s right.” Milo agreed with his sister. “The old man, I don’t think he’ll be too

“Good Morning,” I chirped as I made my way into the kitchen. “Morning my love.” Blasé responded kissing me. Wow, I love his kisses and the sparks that jolt through my body. “Mmm…” I hummed with a giggle. “What was that for?” I leaned into him. “Just happy that’s all.” He said with a smile. “Where are our little terrors?” I snickered. “They’re still asleep.” He said pouring hot water in my mug to make me some tea. I despised coffee. He on the other hand lived on coffee. “I guess they had fun last night.” I chuckled. “The don’t get to stay up late very often.” I drank my coffee and picked at the pastries on the table. “So, did you have anything to do with Marco showing up last night?” He smiled with a raised brow. “No,” I answered. “Grace noticed how sad River was and asked why.” I explained. “I had no idea she was going to send for him but I’m grateful she did.” I admitted. “Once we get settled in, I can see about keeping close to home at least until it’s time

You wanted what wasn’t meant to be yours or mine.” She glared at her father. “If you had just accepted our position, your position, which wasn’t bad at all, we wouldn’t be in this position.” “We were meant to be more than what we are.” Eric yelled back at his daughter. “Have you LEARNED nothing!” She yelled. “I’ve lost my true mate.

Is Jax under control?” Blasé looked at his oldest son. Marco chuckled. “Uncle Silas asked me the same thing”. He looked his father in the eye. “Yes, father, I’m calm, and I will not break free unless there is an emergent need or called forward by you or mother. “Who’s turning sixteen? And why would you want to wait that long to find your mate?” Griz asked. “Oh, Buzz’s mate.” Babaloo said earning him a glare from his brother. “Yeah, waiting until we’re older would make things easier, especially if one mate is younger than the other. I mean, say one is twenty-five and the other is barely turning of age. I’m sure if the younger mate is a female, then her parents would take it much better and not want to kill her older mate.” Buzz explained his thinking. He had to see how Griz and Lita would react to his line of thinking. “Myra’s turning sixteen also maybe your mate and her can meet, she doesn’t have very many friends. They can keep each other company.” Lita said. “And you can’t deny what the Goddess decides, besides I don’t think it would matter, if one mate is still older than the other they would still be in the same situation.” She shrugged. “Why doesn’t she have many friends?” Griz asked. “She’s the Alpha Boar’s daughter.
