“Good Morning,” I chirped as I made my way into the kitchen. “Morning my love.” Blasé responded kissing me. Wow, I love his kisses and the sparks that jolt through my body. “Mmm…” I hummed with a giggle. “What was that for?” I leaned into him. “Just happy that’s all.” He said with a smile. “Where are our little terrors?” I snickered. “They’re still asleep.” He said pouring hot water in my mug to make me some tea. I despised coffee. He on the other hand lived on coffee. “I guess they had fun last night.” I chuckled. “The don’t get to stay up late very often.” I drank my coffee and picked at the pastries on the table. “So, did you have anything to do with Marco showing up last night?” He smiled with a raised brow. “No,” I answered. “Grace noticed how sad River was and asked why.” I explained. “I had no idea she was going to send for him but I’m grateful she did.” I admitted.

I was finally able to fall asleep after cleaning the house, washing the dishes, doing the laundry, making dinner, and getting my brothers and sister to bed, not to mention getting my homework done. I have a major paper due tomorrow, and I just finished it. Getting it done with three three-year-old toddlers running around is not the easiest thing to do. I had just finally fallen into a deep slumber when I was ripped out of bed and dragged down the stairs. Damn that is going to leave a mark or two. “What the fuck is this shit?” My mother yelled at me. “Your father will be home soon, get this shit cleaned up!” She shouted, throwing me in the kitchen. “First of all, you made this mess, I had everything spotless, so you need to clean up after yourself and secondly, he’s NOT my FATHER!” I spat back. My mother reared back and slapped me so hard that she drew blood and making me fall back to the floor. I shook my head slightly trying to get my bearings back. “He IS your FATHER! N

The skank huffed. “That is not going to happen. I do not apologize to anyone for anything. Besides she’s just the invisible girl, it’s not like she matters. She’s just a stupid, weak human.” She said standing closer to him rubbing his arm. I don’t know why but there was something in me that made me wanted to rip skanks arms off. I was jealous. No way! How can I be jealous over someone I doesn’t even know? I don’t even know his name. I narrowed my eyes at the skank. I wanted to say something, but I kept my mouth shut. “What’s your name?” He asked the skank sweetly. I want to vomit; this is disgusting. Skank gives him what I assume is supposed to be a seductive smile. “Gwen Lloyd.” Skank said running her finger across her collar bone. Blahhhhhh, I just vomited in my mouth. “Ms. Lloyd, first of all, dating a student is strictly forbidden, so that is going to be a NO to the drink. Second, you need to remove your hand from me, my mate will not appreciate the unwanted tou

I made my way into the dining room where everyone was already eating, including the three little nuggets. I stood at the door, leaning on the door frame watching them with my mom and Summer. Two boys and the cutest little girl I have ever seen, the boys were slightly bigger than her, she was sitting in the middle of them. They would put small pieces of food on her plate as she finished what was already there. She lifted her little face, and her little eyes were red and puffy from crying. I stood there for a few minutes before Silas came up behind me. “They already have mom’s heart.” He chuckled. “Her and Summer are ready to spoil them rotten.” He smiled at me. “C’mon you need to eat and meet these little nuggets. How’s Storm?” He asked. “She’s still out, not sure how long she’ll be out.” I told him. “I want two guards with her at all times when we are not with her. I don’t want to take any chances that someone will try to get to her. We still know nothing about her fath

Chapter 4: They Are MINE We made our way to the pack house, and there stood a woman, who I assume is Storm’s mom and four human police officers. I knew one of them, he’s one of our contacts with the human legal system, plus he is mated to one of our female pack members. “Tod, good to see you. What do we owe the pleasure?” I asked shaking his hand. Storm was standing beside me, but she was slightly behind me. “Alpha Blasé, good to see you again but we are here on business.” He started. “Seems that Mrs. Walters claims you have her children and husband.” Tod stated. “I’m not hiding anything, yes, they are here. Her husband is one of my pack members, so that makes her and their children members also. I assure you they are safe and happy, actually they are better than they have been with the Walter’s.” I told him as Ryder came running in shrieking as Summer chased him with tickle monster fingers. When he saw Mrs. Walters, he came to an abrupt stop and started crying. His mo

When I came out of the bathroom, I found Blasé on the bed surrounded by three little bodies. I couldn’t help but smile, my heart swelled with love and contentment. I walked to what was now my side of the bed and looked down at the four most important people in my life. Blasé opened his eyes and smiled. “Marco brought them in, Rebel had a nightmare and wouldn’t go back to sleep.” Blasé pointed to the window and I looked over and saw that Marco, well his wolf, was asleep on a pillow and covered with a blanket. “River set it up for him, she didn’t want him to be cold.” He told me with a smile. I climbed into bed and rubbed Rebel’s head. When he felt my fingers in his hair he snuggled closer to me and let out a small sob. “Oh, my sweet boy, I’m so sorry.” I gently rocked him. “She will never touch or see you again.” I vowed to him as light snores came from him telling me he was finally asleep. “Blasé,” I called out, “we have to deal with Fred and Nancy, they’re causing too m

Our moment was interrupted by a knocking on the door and the wiggling of the doorknob. “Blasé, darling, open the door.” A female voice called. Blasé tensed, as I walked over and opened the door and there stood a tall, slender blonde, brown eyed beauty. She pushed past me and straight to Blasé’s arms. She wrapped herself around him and kissed him. “Shit! What is this feeling?” Pain was shooting through my chest, it’s squeezing my heart, it was so intense I fell to my knees. The female looks at me. “Would you mind leaving me and my fiancée alone? Thank you! Bye!” She said pushing me out the door while I was still on my knees trying to recover from whatever just happened. “Courtney! Stop! She’s hurt!” Blasé yelled trying to help me up. “Don’t touch me.” I whispered trying not to let the tears that are prickling the edge of my eyes. “Storm, please.” He said as I pulled away from him. “No! “Please explain what mating really means again.” I asked him. “Well, for wolves it means we have found our soul mate, the other half of our heart and soul, the missing piece. We usually find our mate when we turn sixteen, of course, if one is older than the other then we just wait or go to the family and explain and see if they can start building the bond by just spending time together and not revealing the truth.” He started. “Like Marco?” I smiled. “Yes. It’s usually discouraged but there are times when the older mate has no family, so they can decide to let them in.” He started to explain. “Like with River, she felt drawn to him and kept following him around and would throw fits when she couldn’t find him. Marco and Megan’s parents were killed when they were young and have lived with us since then. They had no other family, so mom and dad decided to take them in as their own. So, they’re my younger siblings.” He looked at me. “I understand. I like him, he’s very good

“Alpha, here you go. A nice dinner set up for two with a blanket.” Ms. Evers said handing him the basket. “And two more baskets for Marcy and Gordon and the other one for the patrolling warriors that will be accompanying you.” “You’re the best Ms. Evers.” Blasé said kissing her cheek, taking the baskets. “Let’s go.” He held his hand out to Storm, she put her hand in his and he slowly led her out the door to the pond. Gordon had joined them halfway to the pond, he walked next to Blasé as Storm and Marcy walked side by side talking and laughing. “Seems as though our mates are becoming best friend.” Blasé chuckled to Gordon. “Yes, seems so.” Gordon smiled. “It will be good for them, especially my Marcy. She doesn’t really get out too much since mom and dad died.” He sighed. “Thank you for assigning her to Luna, she has been much happier since she’s been with her.” “No need to thank me, she’s been helping Storm with fitting in and learning about how things work around here

Before she knew it she was pounced on by three small by strong bodies pushing her to the floor. “Hey, you three need to be careful with mom, she’s had a long day.” Blasé smiled as he bent down to peel their pups off of their mom. “Awe, dad.” They pouted in unison. “We missed mama.” “I know my babies.” Storm smiled as she pulled the three little pups into her arms for a big hug. “I missed you too, but I don’t think I can handle falling on my booty every day.” She chuckled. “Okay, mama. We be careful.” Rebel said helping him mom to her feet. “Thank you baby.” She said ruffling the top of his head. “Mama don’t do that.” He swatted her hands away from his head. “Awe, is my Rebby growing up on me already?” She asked with a sad pouty face. “Yes, I be a big boy.” He said. “Yeah, mama.” Ryder chimed

All because you wanted power, you wanted what wasn’t yours. You wanted what wasn’t meant to be yours or mine.” She glared at her father. “If you had just accepted our position, your position, which wasn’t bad at all, we wouldn’t be in this position.” “We were meant to be more than what we are.” Eric yelled back at his daughter. “Have you LEARNED nothing!” She yelled. “I’ve lost my true mate.

Is Jax under control?” Blasé looked at his oldest son. Marco chuckled. “Uncle Silas asked me the same thing”. He looked his father in the eye. “Yes, father, I’m calm, and I will not break free unless there is an emergent need or called forward by you or mother. “Who’s turning sixteen? And why would you want to wait that long to find your mate?” Griz asked. “Oh, Buzz’s mate.” Babaloo said earning him a glare from his brother. “Yeah, waiting until we’re older would make things easier, especially if one mate is younger than the other. I mean, say one is twenty-five and the other is barely turning of age. I’m sure if the younger mate is a female, then her parents would take it much better and not want to kill her older mate.” Buzz explained his thinking. He had to see how Griz and Lita would react to his line of thinking. “Myra’s turning sixteen also maybe your mate and her can meet, she doesn’t have very many friends. They can keep each other company.” Lita said. “And you can’t deny what the Goddess decides, besides I don’t think it would matter, if one mate is still older than the other they would still be in the same situation.” She shrugged. “Why doesn’t she have many friends?” Griz asked. “She’s the Alpha Boar’s daughter.
