CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
(Southern Svetyland)•T–––M–––V–––P–––L•YEAR 1850A beautiful lady in a red ball gown, sat staring at her reflection in the vanity mirror. A frown outlined her features, as her eyes travelled from her face to her left hand. The hand was as useless as useless can be. It dangled now, and she barely knew what to do with it.She could remember begging her lover, Elbert to free her from this, and cut the whole thing off from its roots, so she would come to terms with the fact that she had no left arm, but he had refused vehemently. The man was so stubborn most of the time. And, worse, out of touch with reality. Who brought a strapless dress for his woman, knowing fully well she had a useless arm. At this point, she concluded, he was making a mockery of her.“My love,” a husky voice sounded with such intensity.Using the mirror as a guide, she saw Elbert grinning at her with pride evident in his eyes. When he noted how forlorn she obviously was, the smile dropped from his face.“Whatever is the matter, Camille Rosé?” He asked softly.Camille got up from her chair with an effortless grace she had always been known with. “Why do you care?” She scoffed. She would not look at him, as she went to her bed. She wished she could sleep for a time. Being a vampire now wasn’t as good as she always thought, but she had hung in there for the sake of her love. But, doubt was creeping steadily into her mind. She used her right hand to grab the shawl, then placed it between her teeth. The corset she wore made it more difficult to manoeuvre the whole thing. As she was about to curse from the frustration she was feeling, Elbert placed his hand on hers, taking the shawl deftly from hers. She stood still. He wrapped the shawl around her, protecting prying eyes from seeing how much damage has been done to her arm. Or, maybe to his ego. “I want to introduce you to my people officially as my lover. You’re not going to be a servant or slave anymore to them, so it’s very important to me, and our relationship.” He stated.Out of habit, Camille breathed in deeply, but as a vampire it was so fruitless. She was more anxious, and she turned to him in that state, her eyes going deep red in a switch.“I understand all you’ve been saying, but I can’t shake off the feeling of dread I’m feeling Elbert. I don’t even know if you love me anymore, when I look at the mirror, I hate what I see. I hate it.”Elbert pulled her face in his hands, his eyes sparkling red, emulating her red eyes. He groaned lowly, fangs out and lips retreated in anger. Camille looked at him with pure desire. When he was like this, it literally messed with her head.“Camille, there would be no other woman for me in a million years. I know that my father did this to you, but it won’t change how I feel for you. I love you, Camille. I love you flaws, strength, and everything that you represent. Don’t give in to such depressing thoughts,” he said fiercely.Camille closed her eyes slightly. This was the Elbert she had fallen in love with. It was so annoying that she would think that he didn’t care for her after all this time. It was beyond ridiculous even.“I’m sorry,” she said softly.Elbert pulled her closer, nudging her head upwards, as his lips descended on hers. She saw stars at that very moment.•T–––M–––V–––P–––L•The cart pulled to a stop in front of the marque mansion. Elbert stepped out of the first, and then rounded the corner to get to her. He pulled the cotton that separated her from the outside world, and slowly outstretched his hands to bring her out.Everything heightened as she sensuously infused her palm in his. Tonight was going to be the night everything would change for the duo, and they were eager to grasp the turn of events.Elbert helped her down, and used another hand to hold her on the waist, as he brought her down the brick floor. Her good arm held onto his shoulder. He resisted the urge to kiss her once more, she was stunning. And, her bodice was impeccable. He couldn’t wait to show her off to his people. They will be stunned by her beauty.“I wish to kiss you,” he said fervently. Her laugh made it all better. He removed the slight curl, that escaped her hairstyle. She closed her eyes slightly, savouring the feels he ignited in her. Elbert surely knew how to care for her.“I wish to, too. But, it’s not the norm, we must do things according to our culture now.” She said wisely. He pouted sweetly. “Alright, but I must surely kiss you before the night is over, when I inform them of our union,” He said with a wink.Elizabeth lowered her lashes, and since he turned her, he suddenly wished she was human. She would have gone scarlet under such shameless praise. It always gave him joy when things happened that way.Her hand retreated from his shoulder coyly, and he tried to take it back, but she easily escaped his hold. Her smile playful and teasing.“Alright, it’s time for the ball. I’m in the mood of some dancing. Let’s do it,” she hyped.Elbert shook his head at how down to earth she was. He knew she was nervous, but despite this, she still wanted him to be happy and filled. He walked over to her, and she didn’t leave. He offered his left hand, and she held on to him.“Let’s light that room on fire!” He said with the same energy. They both walked into the room, and the scent of musk and vanilla, with lavender hung in the air like a seaweed. The women were all in bonnets, but Elizabeth didn’t follow the norm. She looked refreshingly different without those things stopping her glow. Elbert was proud of her, and the men were shamelessly gawking at her.He leaned closer to her ear, his lips slightly touching her earlobe. “Relax.”She leaned back, and he led her to the top of the chain were the master vampire, Lord Edgar was sharing human blood with his wife. Lady Elaine was giggling sheepishly at the wanton display of affection his father was exhibiting.“Father,” Elbert said respectfully. The man turned to him, a smile on his lips, but soon dissolved when he noticed who was hanging on his son’s arm.“Why is she here?” Lord Edgar asked in a dangerously low voice.Elbert smiled coldly, but it didn’t quite reach his eyes. Beside him, Camille was struggling to control the pain she was feeling at the Master’s disgust of having her here.Elbert watched as his mother looked at him in disappointment, yet spoke to his father to calm down, so they would avoid making a scene. I could literally see how upset she was about the whole thing.“I’m asking you a question, right?” He snapped.Elbert nodded in respect. “Yes, you are. I wanted to officially introduce you to your daughter-in-law. I believe it’s time you both have a conversation. It’s long overdue,” He informed his father.Lord Edgar scoffed. “Daughter-in-law? You’re daydreaming Elbert. She can never be a part of my clan. She was a human slave, and no matter what you’ve done to her, she will always be a human slave in my eyes. Nothing more.”Elbert tried to top his fangs from showing itself at that very moment. He was aware of how restless Camille was beside him. It hurt so much. He took a look at Camille, and pulled her to the dance floor. His hands held her waist in a caress, and then, he guided her through the salsa going her. His hands propelling her in various directions they went. Yet, no matter how fast he went, the vampires around didn’t take their eyes off them.“Elbert,” Camille whispered. He shook his head, for her not to say a word. He would prove to his father that he didn’t make a mistake. His nose, lips were grazing hers softly, and it was almost as if they might kiss.“Wow! Isn’t she the human slave we all drank her blood. Disgusting,” Demon, his uncle, who was his father’s brother taunted out loud.Elbert eyes turned red. He turned, but instead of looking right at his uncle, his gaze was on his father. The man was fuming in rage, and he could feel from where he stood. It was electrifying.“Elbert, this…” Camille tried to say, as she struggled to escape Elbert’s arms. But, the man wouldn’t let go.Elbert didn’t respond. He watched as his father ascended the master podium. Lord Edgar flicked his wrist, and everyone switched their attention from Elbert to Lord Edgar, the master vampire, and one of the oldest vampires, despite his youthful looks. The silence was palpable, and Lord Edgar made it worse by the expression on his face. Then, finally, a cold smile touched his lips, and he looked directly to Elbert.“As you know that girl is a toy to Elbert,” he started off, making Elbert fume. “We used it her to get your attention. My son, Elbert, the promising heir to all I have and will have in the future is going to be Selena, daughter of the Elder, Idris Venom on the 7th of November 1850.” He announced. The hall was quiet, and suddenly claps and shouts of excitement took over. Elbert was stiff as ice as he watched them all. He wondered how his father could do this to him. It was like he died at that moment. He left Elizabeth’s hand and raced towards Camille.Elizabeth stared at the hand which had left has. She couldn’t believe that this was happening to her! Tears dropped from eyes, as she looked towards Elbert who was running towards his fiancé.Elbert pulled Selena aside, from the women who were telling her congratulations. She beamed at him, already playing the role of a fiancé.“Oh, Elbert! I can’t believe that this would happen with us. Do you? I’ve literally watched you all my life, but I never imagined that all these would happen. Our…”Elbert groaned. “We can’t work, Selena,” 1he interrupted her.The beauty who looked like she had been carved in a stone, looked at him in disdain. “What do you mean by that, Elbert?” She snapped.Elbert rose his hands in front of him. “Please, we were never in a relationship, or do we have any feelings for each other, so don’t act like I hurt your sensibilities,” he said coolly.Susan gave a soft laugh. “Yes, you’re right. But, master announced his decision in front of everyone. I can’t afford to go against him,” she said stiffly. While he was still trying to make Selena see reasons, he caught the ball gown of Elizabeth’s dress as it swooshed out of. Elbert turned immediately, and watched her make a run for it. He followed her immediately, calling out her name, but she would not stop.He followed her to the streets, calling her name. She took a dive, and came towards the beach that danced in the night like a living thing.“Elizabeth, please listen to me,” he cried. She removed the bobby pins that held her hair in place. Beautiful wild hair fell across her shoulders, it could barely be tamed.“Go away,” she said quietly. He picked her words, despite the fact that she was at a distance. “I know this is a whole mess. I didn’t plan for this to happen Elizabeth. I can’t see myself with another woman,” he cried. She laughed insanely, kicking off her ankle boots, and her leg sinking into the sandy soil. Elbert felt like his heart would burst out of pain. This was so unfair.“Really? After all these? Ok, fine!” She said in rage. “I agree you love me, but can’t you see that there is no way I can be your woman? Your parents can’t stand me. They announced your marriage at my expense. So, what exactly are we fighting for?” She asked in rage.Elbert moved towards her, but she took a step back. “Don’t come close. Make this easy, Elbert. There is no us anymore. It’s just death and hell I deserve at this point,” she said sadly. He moved so fast, but then stepped as a look of pure horror grazed his face. His father had Elizabeth’s heart in his hands. It dripped of nothing, because it was literally lifeless for a long time now.His eyes touched the open quickly decomposing body that used to belong to Camille in shock. He was finding it difficult to comprehend that she was gone, and that too, forever.“Finally, that stinking slave have left my son,” Lord Edgar said in disgust.“What did you do?” Elbert screamed.Lord Edgar looked at him, slightly taking aback by his son’s outburst. “Son, Selena is the one for you. You need to understand this,” he said.Elbert looked at him mother who was as shocked as he was, but he knew she didn’t care about his feelings or how this might be for him, and that made it worse for him.“You both did this!” He screamed, and then with an inhuman speed scratched his neckline. His speed threw Lord Edgar off balance. He moved towards the left to prevent his son from finishing him off.“Don’t,” he cried, but his moment of weakness was enough for Elbert to strike. He dug his hands into his chest, and brought his father’s heart out, tossing it aside like a piece of fletch. The old man’s hands clawed down Elbert’s hand. Elbert looked at his father’s lifeless eyes. He pushed him away into the death, but it wasn’t enough for him, as he hit his body countless times. His mother was weeping behind them. She couldn’t believe what just happened. Never in her wildest dreams had she imagined that her son will kill his father in such a way. Now, he was the new master vampire. She wondered if it was too late to run now.Elbert was mad in pain, he turned towards his love, but she was simply ashes. Her red dress lay like a lump on the ground. He ran towards it, holding it in his arms.“This is not what you promised, Camille,” he said sadly. “Come back! Tell me that all these is a joke, and you’re not gone! I can’t live without you. I don’t wish to.” He cried. But, there was nothing but the wind to prove that this would never happen.Hey everyone! If you're reading this, it's means you're about to read THE MASTER VAMPIRE PAST LOVER. please support me through this journey, as it's my first vampire fiction. Please stick with me and support me.Love you all.PROLOGUE.YEAR 1850. . .•T–––M–––V–––P–––L•A man with a blonde man bun stood by the doorway, his mouth ajar, his hands clenching and unclenching as he watched a lifeless body laid vertically on the floor. The head of the body had been snapped, the left hand was missing, and blood stains were all around the room. It was the body of Camille Rosé — an ordinary girl and the man's lover.Taking slow strides towards the already dead body, the man switched on the lamp in the
Present day... •T–––M–––V–––P–––L• Birds chirped in the quiet street of Svetyland, a little town in Los Angeles. Sun was scorching heavily, leaves were all dry and few people were roaming about the streets. It was the first day of the week -- which was filled with the opulence of summer. Particularly, it was the first day of summer. Everyone could feel the heat already, and that made them stay inside within the comfort of their air condition. But not Freya Coleman. Dressed in a pair of worn denim shorts and a violet tank top that clung to her slender frame, she walked briskly along the cracked pavement to her best friend's — Elizabeth, house, her ponytail swaying with each step. A water bottle filled with freshly squeezed orange juice dangled from her left hand, droplets of the content trickling down its sides. Freya’s light blonde hair shimmered under the sun’s rays, framing her beautiful face. Eventually, Freya arrived at a two-story house with a well-kept lawn. She approached
Present Day... •T–––M–––V–––P–––L• Elizabeth stood in front of the mirror, tugging at the hem of her short yellow dress for what felt like the hundredth time that evening. She frowned at her reflection, her unease growing as she studied her appearance. The dress, which had been a gift from her mother on her twenty-second birthday just two months ago, felt like a stranger on her body. It was one of those pieces that had stayed in the back of her closet, tags still attached, never worn—until now. She sighed heavily, her eyes trailing over the dress that left little to the imagination. Her cleavage was on full display, her long legs and thighs were exposed, and the fabric clung tightly to her every curve. It wasn't that the dress was unflattering—it was stunning, if she was being honest—but it was so far from her usual style that she felt like an imposter. Her mother, the former prom queen and ever the fashionista, had adored the dress. Elizabeth, on the other hand, had always been mor
Master Vampire’s House (Southern Svetyland) •T–––M–––V–––P–––L• In the dimly lit room, the flickering candlelight cast elongated shadows across the chamber. Darius lay sprawled on his king-sized bed, his strawberry-blonde hair tousled as he savored the warmth of freshly drawn blood from a golden chalice. Beside him, a half-naked red-haired female trailed her lips across his chiseled torso, her hands eagerly exploring every inch of his cool, pale skin. The chalice was soon abandoned on a nearby Galway low stool, the blood staining the rim as Darius wiped his lips with the back of his hand. His hunger for the woman beside him, however, was far from sated. He caught her lips in a fervent kiss, his hands impatiently tearing away the last scrap of clothing that covered her. His fangs brushed against her sensitive skin, teasing her nipples until she whimpered in pleasure. A loud knock resounded through the room, echoing off the walls, but Darius paid it no attention. No one was going to
CHAPTER FOUR. YEAR 1850... •T–––M–––V–––P–––L• A tall bulky man paced around in his Chambers – he was the Master vampire, known as Lord Edgar – he was aggravated, furious and bitter towards his son, Elbert. He couldn't believe that a mere human, a dirty slave was the one controlling his own son, the next Master vampire. The rumors were fueling the whole town, serving as a mockery and a stain upon the Edgar name. How could Elbert, next Master vampire, be so blinded by such a lowly creature? A human. A slave. The news had also reached the ears of the vampire elite. Just a week ago, Lord Edgar’s elder brother, the Lord of Wales, had traveled all the way to Svetyland to mock him, taunting him with a sinister smile about Elbert’s scandalous affair. That visit had been the final straw. Driven by the fear of disgrace, Lord Edgar had decided to rid his family of this stain. He sent one of his most trusted and ruthless vampires to annihilate her, only to hear the next day that Elbert had
CHAPTER FIVE (Southern Svetyland – Master Vampire's Estate) •T–––M–––V–––P–––L• Elizabeth woke up abruptly with a gasp escaping her mouth. Drop of sweat gathered on her forehead as she sat upright on the bed. She had a dream. A terrible dream where she was about to be eaten by monsters. And the monsters in her dream looked exactly like the werewolves she watched in movies, and it felt so real. The pain felt real. Instantly, she looked at her arms for any injury, but none was seen. Her arms were completely okay. “It was just a dream,” she whispered to herself, trying to calm the pounding in her chest. “Werewolves aren’t real…” But as her breath began to steady, she noticed something that sent a fresh wave of panic through her. This wasn’t her room. The bed she sat in was grand and foreign—a canopy bed draped in elegant white curtains that blurred her view of the room beyond. The soft, plush rug beneath her feet was warm, a stark contrast to the cold, hardwood floor of her bedroom b
CHAPTER SIX. (Southern Svetyland) Master vampire house. . . •T–––M–––V–––P–––L• Elizabeth was scared. She wasn't familiar with her environment and everyone around her looked really weird, especially the one that had reached out to grab her by her arms before leaving. Even weird, he'd called her ‘delectable’ like she was a meal ready to be devoured. “Leave us, Damien,” The Master Vampire — Elbert, said to his nephew. “I'd like to talk to her.” Damien moved away from Elizabeth front, turned to her and gave her a look of assurance before leaving the living room. Which left Elbert and Elizabeth all alone. Elbert sat back on his seat. His eyes couldn't leave Elizabeth and he studied all her movement through his sunshades. How she kept on hugging herself and how she so much resembled her… “Huh, who are you and what am I doing here?” Her voice was really calm and gentle, it also cracked a little. And the Master could tell she was scared. “Don't be scared,” The Master stood up and move
CHAPTER SEVEN. (Downtown Svetyland. The werewolves territory.) •T–––M–––V–––P–––L• Vampires hated the sun, it wasn't news. All supernatural beings knew that well. On the contrary, Damien loved the sun. It was one thing he loved about the earth. How a big yellow globe was hung in the sky, exuding great heat and warmth to him. Although he couldn't go anywhere without his daylight ring. Damien adjusted the daylight ring on his index finger as he ran his eyes through the place he was. He shut the door to his car, adjusted his suit, and began to move slowly towards the place the Master had told him specifically. The area was quiet, no one was outside and that made Damien glad a little. He wasn't a fan of werewolves, he hated them for some reasons which were only known to him. As he continued to walk down the road he caught the scent of a werewolf nearby. On reflex he whipped his head around and came face-to-face with a female and he knew immediately that she was a lycanthrope — a wer

CHAPTER SIXTEEN(Southern Svetyland) •T–––M–––V–––P–––L•Darius got to the werewolf territory the next morning. It was so early out, but he could still make out a couple of werewolves going about their business. He pushed the hoodie closer to his face to avoid being easily recognised. The golden door that obstructed the world from stepping into his abode, pulled him in like a magnet. The Luna’s daughter was in there. He could sense her presence, even from where he stood.A child of about eight, came out of the house, clutching a black trashcan. His face was masked in disgust. Darius averted his gaze, and blended into the shadows for fear that the child might see him. Children were a different breed on their own. They always perceived strangers, and this child mustn’t sense his presence. He was as still as his surroundings as he waited for the boy to be done. He could easily pick the sounds he made. It was charming, and sweet at the same time. Finally, the click of the door. He took h
CHAPTER FIFTEEN(Southern Svetyland) •T–––M–––V–––P–––L•“Elizabeth,” Freya said in acknowledgement, as she stepped forward to meet her.Elizabeth smiled at her friend who was wearing her nighties. “I’ve been calling you for the past ten minutes. You truly are as silly as always,” she teased.“I’m sorry. I was caught up with something. Did you want something?” She asked stiffly.Elizabeth gave her one of her looks. “Do I need anything to see my best friend?” She queried.A nervous laugh. “I was joking,” Freya mumbled.Elizabeth playfully hit her friend on the arm. “I know. Who was that man?” Freya shifted her gaze from her, and gave a nervous shrug. “It was nobody. Tell me why you’re here,” she said firmly.Elizabeth stopped herself from looking towards the direction of the vampire master. Freya mustn’t know that she was going with him for whatever reason. “Well," she said absently. "I felt you must have been worried because you didn’t see me that night. I wanted to tell you that I
CHAPTER FOURTEEN(Southern Svetyland) •T–––M–––V–––P–––L•The moment Elizabeth shut the door behind them, Elbert spun her around to face him. His hands were cold, as cold as ice. She wondered how he wasn’t shivering. But that thought would have to be stalled in the face of the drama that was ongoing now.“We need to do something,” she said abruptly.“I don’t think bringing me up like this to your room is going to solve anything,” Elbert said instead.Elizabeth huffed in response. She didn’t need a class on how to act, especially not in this situation. There were a lot of things that were going off the charts, and she couldn’t understand. But, one thing she knew for a surety was that she was not going to get her mom harmed in any way or form.“And, giving me this lecture isn’t going to solve anything. You have to understand that what we need is to figure out a way to leave this place,” she said in exasperation.Elbert gave her space as he moved to the other side of the room. His finger
CHAPTER THIRTEEN.(Southern Svetyland) •T–––M–––V–––P–––L•Elbert, the master vampire lay with his head staring at the dark ceiling. He had switched on a blue translucent bulb, as he waited patiently for Damian to come to him.The door creaked open, and the younger vampire stepped into the room. Elbert did not steer. He was like a mannequin at that very moment, and it sent shivers up the younger vampire’s back.“Tell me, Damian,” Elbert said simply.“She is safe,” Damien said in reverence, his head bowed to the ground. They were talking about Elizabeth. Elbert knew that she was safe, he had followed them without them knowing it. But, he wanted to enquire about something else that left him in angst.“Then, why are you here so late? Where were you?” Did he ask coldly?Damian looked up just then, and Elbert could see the sorrow infused in them. What could have happened that brought such anguish to Damian? He waited patiently for the truth to unfold.“I was called over to the outskirts of
CHAPTER TWELVE.(Southern Svetyland) •T–––M–––V–––P–––L•Elizabeth stared at the master. He was indeed standing right there in the flesh. Yet, she stupidly looked at the chair he had just vacated, believing that he had split in twos. There was nothing there, other than a dangling chair.“Relax,” the master said easily.Elizabeth swallowed. “How do I relax? This is too much for my small head to wrap around. I know you’ve said what you are. But, deep down, I thought you were bluffing. Eh, no, I hoped you were bluffing! But, I guess that’s not true,” she said in horror.Elbert simply looked at her, there was no sign of amusement in his eyes, but strangely Elizabeth felt she saw kindness in the master’s eyes. It was a strange thought because the master was a vampire, and should not be capable of showing such feelings.“Let’s sit. You need to regain some control of your emotions,” he said calmly. She allowed him to lead her to a chair, opposite his. Her eyes touched the whole chair to be
CHAPTER ELEVEN.(Southern Svetyland) •T–––M–––V–––P–––L•Damien placed his hand on the wheel, trying to banish all thoughts of Freya from his mind. He shouldn’t be attracted to any woman whatsoever. All he should think about should be having them in his beds and arms. But, even as he thought this it was so difficult to get her out of his mind.He steered the car into his home and got out. This was the perfect camouflage to act like he was normal, at least till he got the truth out of Freya. Two vampires were stationed at the door, as he stepped into the threshold. They greeted him, but he didn’t respond. He walked blindly to his room and shut the door behind him. Everything here was dark, but his glowing eyes made it easy to navigate the room. Damien hated the light and anything to do with it. “Damn it!” He cursed fluidly. He walked over to his mini bar and brought out a whiskey bottle, which didn’t contain whisky. It was filled to the brim with blood; human blood. Without bothering
CHAPTER TEN.(Southern Svetyland) Master vampire house. . .•T–––M–––V–––P–––L•Elizabeth gasped as she woke up, holding her head as a terrible migraine shot through her. She sat up straight on the bed she was laying on, looked around the whole room and noticed that the room was the same room she'd seen herself in the time after the party. She then remembered everything the stranger had told her and how he said Vampires were real. At first she thought it was impossible and the stranger was just insane; but then he proved it to her. She facepalmed herself and began to question if everything she knew about life were just lies. And Indeed, she thought, life was full of mysteries that most humans were either ignorant of or unaware of."You're awake," a masculine voice stated, and Elizabeth took her gaze to where the voice came from. She saw a masculine silhouette resting on the wall, and she couldn't exactly see him because that area of the room was a bit dark. "I thought you'd never wak
CHAPTER NINE.Downtown Svetyland. The werewolves territory. . .•T–––M–––V–––P–––L•Standing at the front of a huge door was Damien as he glanced at his back, sighing in relief when he couldn't see the girl that claimed to have met him before, when he knew she was talking about his brother.Placing a knock on the huge door there was a response from inside the house, and instantaneously, the door fell opened. A bulky man who looked like he was in his late forties stood by the door with a poker face as he stared at Damien. "And what is a zombie doing at my doorstep?" He asked, now adorning a smug smile."I'm here to seek for someone," Damien said, ignoring the mans statement about him being a zombie. "Is there anyone who bears the name Gabriel?""Why do you want to know?" The bulky man asked instantly with a scary frown on his face.Damien rolled his eyes, he was already getting tired of the man's questioning and unappealing visage so he decided to do what the Master had warned him aga
