Shot

Ginevra dropped the plate in the kitchen,,,she went back to her room and continued reading her novel.

This time, she wasn't focused on the novel,,,,her mind was somewhere else.

Her mind flashed back to when Antonio held her wrist.

She touched the wrist he held and smiled. She quickly replaced it with a frown.

"Why am I thinking about the boss", she slapped her forehead mentally.

She continued reading her novel and then the look in Antonio's eyes when he was apologizing to her popped up in her head

"Arrrgh,,,why can't I just concentrate", she groaned and closed the book then kept it under her pillow

She smiled when she remembered how she lied foolishly.

Ginevra placed he hand on her chest and she could feel her heart trying to break free from the ribcage.

It was beating fast and her stomach fluttered.

"Why is this happening to me", Ginevra asked herself.

These feelings were new and strange to her.

"I'll ask Perla when she comes back,,,,she might know about this weird feelings", Ginevra muttered.

Natasha came out from nowhere and entered the room.

She's been spying on Ginevra for a while now.

"Hey", Ginevra muttered.

Natasha ignored her and pretended like she didn't hear anything.

Ginevra bit her lower lip and smiled wryly.

Natasha picked up what she came to look for.

On her way out, she paused and gave Ginevra a mean look but that didn't have effect on her.

Natasha looked at her like she was trying to penetrate into her soul.

"I don't know your plan but whatever it is,,,remove Antonio from it. Stay clear off the boss or you'll have me to contend with", Natasha said sternly.

Ginevra gave her a confused look.

"I don't know what plan you're talk about but I can't stay away from the boss because I serve him", Ginevra said.

She has met people like this so she knows how to deal with them.

"I know but let it just be that. I'm not nice at all", Natasha smirked and left.

"Was she threatening me...we shall see", Ginevra chuckled.

She went to the kitchen to start preparing Antonio's dinner,,,,she doesn't want to get into his bad book.

Meeting Room**

"So I want Luca and Gemma to guard the warehouse tonight", Antonio said.

"But...", Gemma tried complaining but Antonio raised his hand to shut her up.

"No buts,,,just do as I say. You'll go with Luca and that's final", Antonio said.

Gemma grumbled under her breath,,, making sure Antonio could not hear her.

She squeezed her face,,,,she really hated Luca so much,,,, he's always annoying her.

Luca winked at Gemma but she scoffed instead.

Venitia watched this but didn't say a word.

She felt like a fool,,,she thought Luca likes her the same way she likes him but now,,,she doubts that.

Antonio went through the plan with them.

"So that's it. Luca, you'll supervise the front while Gemma will take the back. If you notice anything suspicious, alert me immediately. You have three hours left,,,Grassi will be here by 7:30pm", Antonio said and went out of the meeting room.

Venitia stood up too and left the room without waiting for Luca which was weird.

Luca wanted to go after her but Gemma blocked his way.

"Don't try what you did today again or imma pluck out those eyes of yours", Gemma said.

Luca chuckled and rushed out to see if he'll still find Venitia in the hallway but he didn't.

"I will see her some other time", Luca muttered and went to his own room.

Venitia smiled sadly when she didn't see Luca run after her.

"He didn't even care to know why I left without him", she thought sadly

She tried shrugging off the thoughts of Luca but it was futile.

She decided to sleep it off since she's not on duty.

It was already 7pm and Luca was feeling restless,,,,like something was missing.

It then dawned on him that Venitia comes to visit him by this time but she hasn't come which is so unlike her.

He waited for a while but he still did not see any sign of her,,,,he decided to go to her room and check on her.

He knocked but no one answered,,,,so he opened the door and walked him.

He called her name but got no response so he went in further and met her sleeping on the bed.

He smiled when he heard her snoring softly.

He headed for the door since he didn't want to disturb her.

He touched the door knob and wanted to open the door but Venitia called him.

"Luca", Venitia said as she woke up

Luca turned and walked back to her.

"I was just about to leave since you were sleeping. Hope I didn't wake you up", Luca asked

"Why are you here", Venitia ignored his question.

"To see you of course. I waited for you to come to my room and when I didn't see you, I came here", Luca explained.

"Hmmm", Venitia hummed.

Luca was taken back by the way Venitia was replying him.

"Are you angry with me", Luca asked and Venitia looked at him.

"No", she replied.

"Then why did you leave the meeting room without me and why the cold replies", Luca asked,,,,hurt flashed through his eyes.

Venitia opened her mouth to say something but it was already 7:30pm and Antonio hates lateness.

"It's time, I have to go", Luca muttered and left

"Maybe I was a little too hard on him", Venitia said

She doesn't like hurting Luca's feelings but she needs to know her place in his life. If she's for cruise or her wants to be serious with her.

She sighed and went to the training room to fight out her worries.

Grassi drove to the warehouse with full speed and they stepped out of the car when they arrived at the warehouse.

"Be at alert", Gemma said to Luca.

He hummed absentmindedly and went to the back.

"Are you at positions??", Antonio asked through wireless ear phones.

"Yes boss", Luca and Gemma answered at the same time.

"Good,,,be at alert. I don't want mistakes", Antonio said.

"Trust us", Gemma said.

Antonio simply hummed.

They were on guard watching the environment but Luca's mind was somewhere else.

His mind wandered to Venitia. He was thinking about the cold treatment she gave him earlier.

She didn't even wish him luck. Luca was feeling down and depressed and funny enough Venitia won't even tell him how he offended her.

While Luca was trying to figure out what he did to Venitia, a shadow ran through the bushes and he didn't notice.

The owner of the shadow was dressed in black all through. He wore a mask that covered his head and face leaving his eyes visible.

The guy dressed in black hid behind a wall and pointed his gun towards Luca.

He made sure to target Luca very well before he fired a bullet.

The bullet entered Luca's arm and he hissed in pain.

He quickly used an handkerchief to tie on the spot where he was shot to prevent excess blood from coming out.

Luca brought out his gun immediately and started looking for the person that shot him.

"Watch out,,, there's an unknown person in the building", Luca said to Gemma.

The guy in black jumped swiftly to the rooftop.

Luca saw him and went after him without wasting time.

The guy kept on jumping from roof to roof while Luca kept on chasing him.

The guy finally stopped and Luca thought he was going to surrender but that wasn't the case.

Many other guys,,,dressed in black too appeared from no where and started firing bullets.

Luca used a trashcan cover as shield from the rain of bullets as he ran to hide behind a pillar.

"A little help over here", Luca said to Gemma

"Where are you", she asked

"Block B", Luca replied.

Gemma rushed to where he was and found him hiding behind a pillar.

The first thing that caught her eyes was his bleeding arm.

Though he tied an handkerchief on it but it was already soaked with blood.

"Sh!t,,,your arm", she said and tried touching it but he held her hand and stopped her from doing so.

"Does it hurt", she asked

"Hmmm, but we have a task ahead of us", Luca said

"Hmm,,,let us take them down together", Gemma said.

"Ready", Luca asked and she nodded.

They came out of the pillar together and stood close to each other in such a way that their backs were touching each other.

Luca took the front while Gemma took the back.

They started shooting at the people that are attacking them

They guys were firing at Luca and Gemma but luckily for them,,,they were wearing bulletproof vests.

When the enemy saw that their bullets weren't having effects on them,,,they decided to change their target areas.

They started shooting at the arms and legs.

"Seems like they found out our weak points", Gemma said.

"It's time for plan b", Luca said

Gemma nodded and brought out an object that looks like a ball from her bra.

They advanced towards the enemy and dropped it there.

The object exploded and white smoke came out confusing them.

Luca and Gemma immediately used this opportunity to shoot most of them.

Their plan was going on well. Each time they see that their rival was getting over the explosion,,,they would drop another one

They used that method to clear all of them.

"Done,,,let's head back to the clan", Gemma said and turned back.

They heard another gunshot. They turned back and saw another set of people approaching them.

"Fvck,,,,I don't think we can take them down alone. Let's call the boss", Luca said

"Good idea", Gemma said as she loaded her gun.

"Boss, I'm afraid we can't take them alone", Luca communicated through the ear phones

"I'm on my way there", Antonio said.

Antonio dressed up quickly and took two guns with him and extra bullets.

He kept it at the side of his pants and walked to the garage.

He picked a black car,,,,he entered and drove off with full speed.

Ginevra was on her way to drop his food but she saw him as he drove out roughly.

"Where's he off to", Ginevra thought.

She shrugged and went to his suite and dropped his food. She was able to enter his suite since she knows his password.

Antonio arrived and Luca sighed in relief when he saw him.

Antonio frowned when he saw Luca's bleeding arm.

"You should head back to the clan,,,I can take care of this", Antonio said to Luca and Gemma as he shot their rival without looking at them and his aim was correct

"No boss,,, we're not leaving you. We'll do this together", Gemma insisted and Luca nodded.

"Don't be stubborn and go", Antonio said.

"No,,,let us stay with you", Gemma said

"I'm your boss and I said you should leave", Antonio ordered.

Gemma kept quiet.

"I'm sorry boss but we can't leave you no matter what", Luca said

Antonio sighed when he saw he couldn't convince them to go back to the clan.

"Okay then. I'll take the middle, Luca,,take the left while Gemma,,, you'll take the right", Antonio divided their attack.

They started firing bullets,,,,it was more like a bullet rain.

There were bullets scattered everywhere on the floor.

In no time they were able to take down the entire people.

"Good job", Antonio said

"See boss,,,I knew we could do it if we stick together", Gemma said

Antonio nodded and remembered Luca's arm

"Let's head back to the clan fast,,,Luca has to treat his arm", Antonio said.

"Oh,,,I almost forgot", Gemma said.

They all walked back to the car.

Meanwhile someone was on the rooftop,,he managed to escape the exchange of bullet between his group and Antonio's group.

He pointed his gun at Antonio,,,he made sure to lock the target and fired a bullet.

He ran away immediately he fired the shot to avoid being caught.

Luca saw the bullet moving and wanted to warn Antonio but it was already late.

The bullet hit Antonio's back and he fell immediately.

"Boss"

"Antonio"

Luca and Gemma screamed at the same time.
