When Mariella left the room, Elaine immediately walked toward her, but stopped when she saw her crying.

“A-Are you okay?” Elaine asked.

“You’re lucky, I—I—”

Mariella didn’t finish what she was going to say and walked away.

“Wife,” called Louis from behind her, so she immediately turned around to look at him.

“Are you okay?” Louis asked, and she could only nod. She wasn’t in the position to ask what they had discussed, and besides, it was Louis’ privacy.

When Elaine entered the room, she immediately put down the dog, a gift from him, along with the cat so that she could stretch her arms.

She had been holding them outside for a while, and they might have been getting annoyed. “What should we name them?” she asked Louis who was busy typing on his phone.

“You should name them,” he replied. Louis furrowed his brow because of Eros’ text.

“Hmm, what do you think about naming them Sherlock and Irene?” Elaine asked with a smile since she was a huge fan of Sherlock Holmes. When she glanced at Louis, it seemed like he wasn’t listening to her.

“Mr. Montemayor!” Elaine shouted to get his attention. He immediately looked at her and was about to kiss her on the lips when she turned her face away.

“Are you okay with the names I thought of?” she asked, but Louis approached her and placed his face near hers.

“You can choose whatever you want, wife. They’re yours,” Louis said. He gently moved the hair that was covering her face and tucked it behind her ear.

“You’re so beautiful,” he complimented her. Before Elaine could speak, he immediately kissed her.

“Hmm,” Elaine groaned softly as their tongues danced with each other. She had read adult romance books, but this was the first time she felt the heat often mentioned in the stories she read.

Slowly, Louis lifted her and carried her to the bed without breaking their kiss.

“I’m sorry,” he said. She just nodded because she felt like her femininity had separated from her body because of what he did.

A few minutes later, Elaine took a deep breath. “Continue so the pain goes away,” she said. Louis nodded and started moving.

Elaine held onto his back as he moved, slowly turning the pain into pleasure.
