Chapter 1

"Are you sure this is alright, Liza?" Nag-aalala na tanong ng manager at kaibigan ni Liza na si Rona.

Habang inililibot ang tingin sa kabuuan ng dance floor ay sinagot ni Liza ang kaibigan, "Oh, come on, Rona! Stop acting like this is my first time doing something like this. Stop being a wuss! You're ruining the mood."

"Masisisi mo ba ako? Nagsisimula pa lang na umangat ang karera mo sa pag-aartista, Liza, and I don't want anything to derail it."

“I’ve been doing this for a long time, Rona. Did these ever cause you or the company any problems? No. Never! So, please be quiet. “

“That’s because I’ve been cleaning up your mess, making sure that no one knows about this habit of yours. Besides, you’re no longer a C-lister, Liza. You’re now a B-lister; we must ensure you stay on that or even more. Didn’t you want to be an A-lister? Unless you’ve already changed your mind and want to return to being a nameless, unpopular, and low-class celebrity who only appears on variety shows.” 

Nagpanting ang mga tainga ni Liza dahil sa sinabi ni Rona. Hindi niya nagustuhan ang sinabi ng kaibigan.

Out of everyone who knows her, Rona is the one who knows how badly she wants to be on top. Rona knew how badly she desired to be an A-list celebrity and was willing to go to any length to achieve that goal. And so, hearing Rona say those words completely irritated her.

Kaya bago pa siya makapagbitaw ng hindi magagandang salita sa kaibigan ay tumayo na siya at tumungo sa dance floor, leaving Rona calling her name. 

The moment she stepped onto the dance floor, a swarm of men immediately surrounded her, vying for her attention and hoping that Liza would choose one of them, and she couldn’t help but be giddy with the attention she was receiving.

Some men are familiar to her. They are the men she shared the bed with for one night, and the others are the men she sees every time she walks into the club. They, like her, frequent the club. While the few are the ones she hasn’t seen before. At dahil may mga bagong mukha siyang nakikita, Liza thought she should make a good impression on them.

She started dancing gracefully yet seductively while scanning the faces of the new men who surrounded her, but none were her type.

I’ll go home without taking off my dress tonight, huh? That’s what Liza thought until she noticed a man sitting on the bar counter, just a few steps away from where she had recently sat, staring at her with a hint of desire and seduction in his eyes.

Liza has never seen him before.

He, too, must be new, she thought.

The man is undoubtedly attractive and seductive enough to pique her interest. And only a fool would not notice him with the way he stares.

She is confident that the man desires her. And he’s exactly her type. The man appeared to be a good bed companion as well.

Kaya naman hindi na nagpatumpik-tumpik pa si Liza. She made her way toward the man at the bar counter while still dancing in the most seductive way she knew. Her lips curved in a seductive grin as she gracefully swayed her hips. Ramdam na ramdam ni Liza ang maiinit at marubdob na titig ng mga kalalakihan na nakatingin sa kanya habang puno naman ng selos at inggit ang tinging ibinibigay sa kanya ng mga kababaihan at iilan lamang ang tila humahanga.

Nang nasa mismong harapan na ng lalaki si Liza ay lalo pa niyang giniling ang kanyang bewang ng hindi man lamang inihihiwalay ang kanyang mga tingin mula sa tila nanunukso at nagnanasang tingin ng lalaki. Liza moved closer to the man, who was sitting with his legs crossed and a glass of liquor in his right hand, until Liza, still dancing to the rhythm, felt the man's knees on her navel.

Liza leaned forward with her hands on each side of the man, holding onto the bar counter and her lips almost touching the man’s ear. “Hey, sexy, mind taking me back to the dance floor?” she asked sexily.

Liza raised one of her brows when she received no response from the man. Was I mistaken? Wasn’t it desire and seduction in his eyes when he looked at me? Didn’t he want me? But her thoughts were interrupted when the man stood straight, wrapped his arms around her waist, and pulled her closer to his body, just enough for him to lean forward a little and whisper in her ear, “How about we just take this to bed? I don’t like how these bastards stare at you like hungry beasts who just saw their prey and want to taste it.”

Hindi kaagad nakasagot si Liza sa sinabi ng lalaki. Masyado pa siyang gulat dahil sa ginawa nito, that all she could ever do was just stare at the man's handsome face, and the guy seems to be an impatient one dahil ilang segundo pa lamang na hindi nakakasagot si Liza ay muli na itong nagsalita, "So, what is it, woman? Would you like to be in the same bed as me? Or not? I cannot wait until morning.” The man’s hot breath is fawning on Liza’s ear, making her body hairs stand on end. The man’s voice and how he speaks sound enchanting and enthralling. It was so seductive. It was so hot that Liza could not hear and comprehend the sound of possessiveness and danger in the man’s voice. And it was also because of that alluring and seductive tone that Liza could only nod in response to the man’s question, not even having a second thought about it, not knowing what the outcome of her answer might be. Liza felt the man grinning before whispering in her ear, “Good answer, woman,” with satisfaction in his voice.
