I tossed the keys back on a nearby slab and walked to the mini bar in the house. I craved a drink so badly.

I took a bottle of tequila, and without using a glass, I began taking heavy sips with the bottle. The whole marriage contract sabotaged me. There was no way Romero signed a contract; he hated knowing that Alessia was out here in mafia territory. I needed to meet him so quickly. He also had a pending business with me; I would blow his brain if he thought Alessia would be safe married to Mafioso.

I cleared a bottle. The echoing sound of Alessia and Dmitri's laughter filled the room. I wondered what was so funny. It had been almost ten minutes, yet he was still in her room.
