4. New friend.

Raina glared at Luke as she said, “Not everyone is desperate like you, you know, trying to get into everyone’s pants.”

Luke scoffed, “oh my god, so you do know how to argue, but then again, a bully like you must know a lot of worse things, right? I sometimes wonder, that just what kind of upbringing your parents gave you for you to be this pathetic?”

Raina’s heart sank when she heard the mention of her parents, she gave a nasty glare to Luke and said, “you have a problem with me, there is absolutely no need to bring my parents into this you get it! And you are questioning my parents, huh! What about yours! Just how fucked up they have to be to never show up for you when you needed them the most!”

Raina knew that she had fucked up, she shouldn’t have said that, because now she can see just how pissed Luke was, his face was red and if looks could kill, then she would be dead by now.

Luke suddenly laughed, but his laughter was not normal it was a sinister laugh, one that really scared Raina, Luke then looked at her and said, “you really know how to make me mad huh, gosh you are so fucking annoying, I hate you so much and just looking at your ugly face makes my stomach churn.

Why do people like you even exist, why do you even exist? And the worst part is that someone so disgusting like you is my mate, yuk.”

Raina’s eyes were filled with tears as she said loudly, “then fucking reject me and go find someone else! Or let me reject you!” Raina had tried to reject Luke before; however, the latter had threatened her that he would have her admission cancelled if she dared to reject him, and she can’t let that happened, she had to study, she had worked very hard to get into this college.

“Where will be the fun in that?” Luke said, “As I said, I will reject you, I will, but only after I break you completely.”

Raina clenched her fists as she looked at him defiantly, “you won’t, I am not that easy to break.”

Luke laughed as he came a little closer to Raina, she took a step back, but it was not because she was scared, it was because her heart was beating fast due to the proximity with Luke, maybe it was because of the mate bond but she can feel the attraction towards Luke even though she hated it she still can’t run away from it her heart, her body and her wolf desired her mate, the tension between them was obvious.

And Raina can feel it and she knew very well that Luke can feel it too, she had seen it in his eyes and in his behaviour and that was why he would never come near her, he would always watch from the side as his side chick Fiona and some of her friends and his own friend would bully and torment her, and he would just enjoy.

“I would see about that.” Luke said, “let’s see how long you can keep up, with whatever I have planned for you!” he said before he looked at her up and down and left, feeling frustrated, he hated the fact that his body would react to her and his wolf asked for her.

This made him feel so repulsed and disgusted.

Of all the people in the world, the only person he had to be mated to was this bitch! He looked at the sky and even cursed the moon goddess for playing such a cruel prank on him!

As Raina walked through the corridors, she saw the posters for the singing competition, she smiled as she looked at it, maybe she should try to take part in the extra curricular as well, that way she can earn some extra credits and marks.

She registered for the competition that day and paid the registration fees before resuming her classes.

The rest of the day continued as any other day, she got some nasty and sarcastic remarks from Fiona and her friends and then she ate a sandwich as she sat on her usual bench, she didn’t bother going to the cafeteria since she knew what would happen there.

“Hi there, we meet again.” She heard a familiar voice and looked up to see Kevin over there. He gave her a small smile, “can I sit here?”

“Oh yeah, sure.” She said, and Kevin sat beside her.

“Are you okay now?” Kevina asked.

“Oh, yeah, I am fine, thank you for the last time.”

“It’s okay, I just hope that nothing is bothering you now.”

“No, everything is okay now.” This was a lie though, as long as Luke was in her life nothing was going to be alright.

“I am happy to hear that.”

They made some small talk before the lunchtime was over.

But what Raina had no idea that she was being watched by someone.

Luke watched her and Kevin talking the whole time from the window of his class, and for some reason he was pissed, very pissed, he had no idea why he felt this way.

He was clenching his fist so hard that veins had popped up in his arms. He hated this stupid mate bond for making him feel this way, otherwise there was no way he would be so affected by Raina, she was not that special or worth it.

“Are you okay Luke?” Fiona suddenly came beside him and held his hand, making him look at her, Luke suddenly got up and took his hand back from her grip before saying, “I am okay.” He paused before saying, “I will be back.”

She watched him leave and then looked at what he was looking at, she found that Luke was looking at Raina, she suddenly felt rage as Fiona had noticed this too, she noticed how much Luke was affected by Raina, and she didn’t like that at all, hence she thought of other ways to teach Raina a lesson, and she was sure that Luke would love it as well
