5. Smile

The day went on as always, and nothing new happened, Raina looked rather relaxed and happy after talking to Kevin for a while and even Luke saw that, and he did not like that.

He hated the fact that someone else, some other'man' was making her smile, and he hated that. Raina, who was thinking about her singing competition, smiled, it's been a while since she had sung to the fullest, and that too on a stage. This is going to be a good thing, and she was very excited, She smiled as she thought about it as the excitement coursed through her nerves.

However, her eyes soon fell on Luke, who was glaring at her, her smile was gone as soon as she saw him and even Luke saw that, and he was even more angry, because Raina didn't smile at him, when she looked at him, and he himself did not understand why he was even feeling mad.

He just looked away, and Raina looked down, as she felt uncomfortable. However,  what she did not know was that Fiona was staring at her, and she was really angry.

After the classes were over, Raina packed her stuff and was about to leave However, as she got up and was about to move, someone came from behind her and bumped into her, Raina stumbled forward, and her bag fell to the ground, She sighed and turned around to see Fiona over there with a smile.

“Hi there, are you leaving?” she asked in her sickeningly sweet voice.

Raina just looked at her and chose to ignore her as she bent down to pick up her bag, Before she could pick it up, Fiona stepped on it and prevented Raina from getting her things, She looked up at her and saw that Fiona still had that annoying smile on her face.

Raina felt so much rage right now that her blood boiled, She stood up, looked straight at her and said, “What the fuck do you want?”

She asked in her cold voice, not even trying to hide her murderous intent behind it, Fiona smiled and said, “Well, as you know about the assignment that was given to us by the teacher today, how about you, like a good friend, do our work for us as well.”

Raina clenched her fists and said, “No, do it on your own.”

Fiona and her friends laughed before she said, “Wow, it's so cute to see that you think that you have the right to say no. Right, Luke?”

Raina then finally looked at Luke, who was still sitting at his place, and once he heard his name being called, he smirked and got up to walk up to Fiona and stood beside her, holding her waist and staring down at Raina, “Right.” Was all he said before he added, “You don’t have to ask Fiona, just pick her bag and keep your stuff inside it, and she is going to do the assignment perfectly, am I right, Raina? Because if you dare to act smart, then we can always ask the teachers to deal with you, right?

By failing you in two or three or maybe in all the subjects, right?”

Raina clenched her fists and gritted her teeth before she looked away, while Fiona just smirked and gave Raina her copy as well, and her two other friends did the same. After they were done, they all walked away from there, leaving Raina behind.

After they were gone, she finally picked up her stuff and gave it a pat before she put her bag on her shoulder and walked out of the room with her head down.

Her eyes stung with warm tears, but she refused to cry as she slowly walked through the empty corridors with her head down, as she didn’t want anyone to see her tear-stricken eyes and her ashamed look.

“Well, you look miserable.” She knew very well whose voice was that, and instead of stopping, she started to walk faster as she wanted to get away from Luke, she didn’t even want to see his face after everything that he was doing.

She heard him call out to her from behind, but she refused to listen; she refused to obey, and she knew very, well how much of a blunder it was going to be, Luke had warned her before to never ignore her and be a little obedient dog to him, always listen to him, but she decided to be disobedient today and started to walk even faster when she heard footsteps behind her.

She tried to run when she heard the footsteps fasten, but before she could run further her hand was grabbed, and she was shoved inside an empty classroom and pushed against the door.

Her eyes widened, and she shivered with fear as Luke stood before her and looked down at her with his angry eyes.

However, other than fear, she also felt something else: anticipation and excitement because of her mate’s touch, and she hated that, She hated that she got tingles after being touched by this man who hated her from the bottom of his heart.

“I told you to stop, didn’t I?” Luke asked in his deep, husky voice, laced with coldness.

Raina looked down, she looked anywhere but him, and when Luke noticed that, he became annoyed, so he pinched her chin with his thumb and index finger and made her look at him.

“I asked you something, Raina, and when I talk to you, you look at me. Do you understand?”

Raina looked at him with defying eyes, and that made Luke annoyed, so he said in a louder voice, “Am I understood!” Raina flinched before she gave him a reluctant and hesitant nod.

“Words. Raina.”

Raina closed her eyes and took a deep breath as she said, “Yes, I understand.” She then looked at Luke again with her sharp eyes, “Do you want something from me Luke?
