Ethan's P.O.V

"I haven't seen Axel in months now." Angus replied with a straight face. His response was firm and resolute but I was no fool.

I had seen the expression he displayed when I brought up the topic about Axel. I knew they had met quite recently too and he was trying as much as possible to keep this hidden from me.

"You remember our initial agreement don't you?" I asked with my eyes fixed on him sternly.

"Of course I do. Do you think I'm foolish?" Angus snapped.

"I think you are." I replied curtly. "For you to believe that I'm totally in the dark concerning your association with Axel clearly shows your foolishness Angus." I said.

For a while none of us talked. Angus stared at me and I stared back with the other rogues looking on in anticipation of what would happen next.
