Chapter 42

Jade's pov

“Can you contact Conri?” I asked my dad as we boarded the small plane.

“I don't know his number, but I can send a text message to Richard and ask him to find it on the Council site and let him know what is happening," he answered reassuringly.

“Please do!”

Getting seated I buckled myself and glanced out the window while my dad sat next to the pilot.

“This is a nice plane,” Elina commented in my head and I shrugged as I glanced over the plush interior. It was small but luxurious.

“I wouldn't know but it appears nice. I have never been on a plane before,” I replied, and she snorted.

“Be mindful of the turbulence,” she snickered as the plane started to move down the bumpy runway.

Not understanding what she meant I asked my dad.

He waved his hand around his head, indicating that he couldn't hear me over the engine, so I shook my head and returned to staring out the window.

The sound of the engine was bothersome, and once we were in the air, my ears felt clog
