Chapter 44

Jade's pov

Finding myself standing on Aiden's porch I started vomiting on the stone under my feet. My head hurt and my equilibrium felt off.

“You should have kept your eyes closed, stupid,” Raven snapped as she started pounding on the door.

Wiping off my mouth I tried pulling away from her when the door opened but failed in my attempt to break free.

Glancing at the open door I saw Gregory give me a disappointed glare. I mouthed the word sorry to him

“Your brother is in his office looking at the council website and the Turgenev contract. Take her to him,” he said sternly.

Giving him a pleading look he gritted his teeth and watched Raven start to pull me through the downstairs rooms.

Glancing back at him I saw him on his cell phone and hoped he was contacting my dad or my mate.

“Come along you pathetic excuse for a queen,” Raven snarled as she opened the wood door of a room and shoved me inside.

Falling to my knees to the carpet I winced and narrowed my eyes at her
