Athena’s POV

We walked out of the pack building, and I walked ahead while he walked behind me, when I was sure we were far away, I stopped walking and he also stopped. I turned and wrapped my hands beneath my chest looking at him.

"I apologize for calling you outside to speak with you," Alpha Andrew said and my gaze slowly trailed off his physique; he was still as attractive as ever, but the feelings I had for him had faded.

"I'm listening"He exhaled heavily as I folded my hands beneath my chest.

“I have always wished I could see you and apologize to you, I am sorry for the way I treated you, I was wrong to have done all that to you. I was blinded by jealousy and I didn’t think twice before sending you and the twins away,” Alpha Andrew said, and tears clouded my eyes.

I remembered how much the twins adored him; he was the first person they addressed as 'dada', he was the only man in my life who witnessed their pregnancy, and an accusation without interrogation or investigati

Daniel’s POV It's been days since Alpha Andrew arrived at the pack, and unexpectedly, everything appeared to be in order. I never imagined I'd be able to spend so much time with my elder brother, and I've learned a few things about him: he's funny and an excellent listener. I sighed, looking in the mirror, when I heard a knock. I tilted my head to open the door, but before I could, the door was pushed open and Athena stepped inside, her lovely grin instantly brightening my morning. “Hey!” I said in a deep husky voice while she chuckled and moved closer to me, I wrapped my hands around her and sighed, I loved her body against mine, and it was the most beautiful feeling ever. “Good morning alpha Daniel,” she said and I nodded “Good morning, Athena, what brought you here?” I asked and she pulled away from the hug. “I just wanted to see you, It's time for breakfast and Alpha Andrew talked about returning to his pack today,” Athena said and I nodded. “Yes, I remember. Gideon's POV I snorted as I paced around my room, Andrea must think she is a very smart lady, I should have murdered her right away instead of placing her in the cell and forcing her to find a method to escape and blackmail me. I heard a knock on the door, which instantly opened, and the maids walked in with my breakfast, which they dropped on the table and scurried away immediately. I asked them to bring my breakfast to my room since I didn't want to eat with Andrea because I might strangle her to death. I sat near the bed and drank the steaming cup of coffee that had been delivered to me together with the other breakfast items. I swirled the spoon slowly, thinking about what I could do to get rid of Andrea; I was desperate to get rid of her. I smirked, remembering what I had done to Evelyn; it shouldn't be too difficult to do the same to Andrea. I ate my breakfast quietly and exited the room. I went to my office and ran into my beta, who was working on some files, and raise

Andrea’s POV I smirked as I dressed, spinning around in the mirror since today was going to be a huge day. When I was satisfied with my appearance, I stepped away from the mirror. I rushed to my door when I heard a knock, pulled it open, and Lucas stepped inside, his eyes darting over me and he sighed. "Are you sure you're sure about this?"Lucas inquired, and I smirked. "I am confident, Lucas, Don't worry, everything will work out fine, All you have to do is trust me," I murmured, and he sighed softly. "Okay, you look lovely in your gown. A beautiful assassin," he replied, and I laughed. “Yes, thank you,” I said and at the same time, the door was pushed open, I furrowed my brows immediately, and I saw alpha Gideon step inside the room, his eyes darted between us before settling on me. “It seems I’m interrupting a sibling’s moment,” he said and I chuckled “Of course, you are not, Lucas is just about to leave,” I said, tilting my head to look at Lucas, Lucas furrowed his

Athena’s POV My eyes immediately widened in disbelief as the light shone directly into my eyes. I sighed and tried to change my position on the bed. I raised my head and noticed Alpha Daniel soundly sleeping next to me. Alpha Daniel's eyes opened as I slowly pulled his hand away and saw that I was naked. As the memory of what had happened the previous night filled my mind, I smiled. I then rose and pulled back the curtain. I said, "Good morning, alpha Daniel," and he grinned and stretched. “Good morning my love,” Alpha Daniel said, wrapping his hands over my body and my cheeks flushed immediately. “It’s nice to notice my eardrums are still working perfectly” he added, and I wished the ground could open up and swallow me. “Just stop it,” I said in between laughter, last night was wild, and I am sure almost everyone in the pack house heard my voice screaming as alpha Daniel pounced inside me. My eyes darted around, and I saw my nightwear, I picked it up immediately and wore

Gideon’s POV I had left the party to have a short discussion about the pack and the party in general, only to return and Andrea said the thing that terrified me; I tried to push myself to speak, but words failed me, and I collapsed on the floor. Now I'm lying on a hospital bed in the dark, unable to define what's wrong with me; my body seems weaker than usual, I can't move a finger, and I've never felt so weak in my life. It felt like I was dead, and it was difficult to open my eyes; I wanted to scream and call for help so badly, but it seemed impossible; I saw my dreams and everything I had fought so hard for falling before me. My heart was aching tremendously, and I wasn't sure what to do. I heard the door open and thought it was the doctor who was here to help me, I needed to open my eyes so badly and I wanted to stand up from there, I couldn't wait to get my hands on Andrea, I finally realized I made the worst mistake by letting her live in the prison, I should have killed

Andrea’s POV My excitement knew no bounds as I watched Alpha Gideon lay helplessly on the ground; my plans were already in motion, and all I needed was to gain the people's trust and have complete control over the army, crest, or no crest. Since Evelyn went missing with the crest, she must have perished, and the crest is now useless because no one possesses it. I was startled out of my trance when I heard a tap on the door. I wrinkled my brows and walked to the door, expecting to meet Lucas, but instead, it was one of the maids. "I apologize for intruding; I was asked to inform you that the alpha has gained consciousness,” the maid said, and my eyes widened in shock. “Are you sure of what you are saying?” I asked and she nodded. “Yes, I am sure” she replied and I exhaled deeply. “Okay, you can leave now,” I said, and she bowed one last time before walking away. I began pacing around my room, irritated; I knew I wasn't supposed to be terrified because the woman promised

Andrea’s POV The elders entered the room, their gaze darting around us. I glanced away instantly, unsure of what to answer, My pulse began to race, praying they wouldn't want an urgent pregnancy test, I realized they were waiting for my response and I cleared my throat, I'm not a wimp, and I wasn't going to show them I'm terrified. "I am pregnant with Alpha Gideon's child, he was going to announce it after the wedding," I replied, and I saw hope in their eyes. "Luna Evelyn couldn't conceive before we lost her, which broke our hearts, and now our future Luna is pregnant?" one of the elders said, tilting his head to look at the other one, who only shrugged. “She is not yet the Luna which makes the child an illegitimate child. Alpha Gideon is lying helplessly in the clinic, and we are not sure what is wrong with him. This is a critical matter that needs deliberation” the second elder said, and I was quiet. I know this is the lottery I needed to win these people over, with the fake

Athena’s POV I was astounded by the amount of blood Evelyn was vomiting; for someone who is emaciated and hasn't had any proper nourishment for days, she had a lot of blood to cough up. I felt pain in my hand and raised my shirt; I saw the crest she had transferred to me blazing and tears streamed down my face; I felt my lungs closing in on me and I could barely breathe. I gasped for more air before collapsing on the floor. "Athena!"Alpha Daniel called and stepped closer to me; he held me closer to him, and I could hardly talk, "What's wrong with you? doctor! Nurse!"He yelled. “My hand is burning…. I can hardly breathe!” I struggled to say and one of the nurses rushed over to meet me, They tried to help me up, and I suddenly screamed. I felt my soul detaching from my body and fear gripped me. I wasn't prepared to die, and I didn't want to die. I'd do anything to stay alive. The thought of Evan and Alpha Daniel overpowered me; what would I do if I never saw them again? My bo

Athena’s POV It’s been a month since the death of Andrea and Lucas, and it still felt unreal, this past month has been the happiest I have been in my life. I have never felt so at peace, sleeping with no course to worry about. I looked at my wedding dress, and it was breathtaking, I ran my hand through it and it was a masterpiece, with delicate lace and silk, adorned with shimmering beads and sequins. I smiled as I took it from the hanger and wore it. Slowly slipping into the wedding dress, I felt an indescribable sensation. Every delicate stitch seemed to weave love and happiness into the fabric. As I stood before the mirror, I gasped in awe at the vision it reflected. My eyes shimmered with tears of overwhelming joy as I finally realized my dream of being a bride. I stepped out of the room when I was pleased with the way I looked and met beta Carl outside, he had promised to walk me down the aisle and I have never felt so glad. Beta Carl stretched his hand and I slowly placed m

She tried to carry him, but she had no power as she cried profusely. “Lucas! Lucas wake up!” she screamed and the kind part of me felt bad while watching her cry, but I suddenly remembered how she laughed devilishly as they killed Emily, every ounce of pity I felt for her left immediately and I scowled. “Are you ready to give up now or not?” Alpha Daniel asked a land, and Andrea shot him an angry look.“I would rather avenge my brother! Avenge my mother who died pitifully in the wilderness, avenge my father who was killed and reaped his title!” Andrea screamed and she stood up, trying to attack Alpha Daniel. I move closer to her and yank her hair, pulling her down, “don’t you think it’s time for you to give up? It’s time you stop everything you are doing and reflect on yourself?” I said, and she elongated her claws, trying to tear my face like I

Athena’s POV I was about to lunge at Andrea after snarling when I heard a screeching yell that caused me to tilt my head immediately. I discovered it was Donald who produced that sound, and I attempted to control my heavy breathing as I stared at him. Elder Ryker was able to escape Alpha Daniel's strike when I noticed him, and his eyes widened in amazement as he saw his son, his body went pale quickly, and I smirked, it seemed what Donald said was true. He must have assumed his son was dead. "You…you are alive?"Elder Ryker pushed himself to say, and his son frowned at him. “You must have thought I got burnt in that car, I escaped and here I am, it’s nice to see you again Father!” Donald said as I stepped closer to them after he mentioned the crest. “What’s going on here?!” a man who I didn’t recognize asked but looking at his attire he seemed to be the chief commander of their pack. “My father, Elder Ryker is responsible for killing the old alpha, Luna Evelyn’s father, for h

Daniel's POV The night was quiet, and I sighed as I looked up at the sky; I had been outside for a while now, trying to clear my mind of the many things that were racing through it. This week, Beta Carl has been quite active and helpful in attempting to get everything in order. I wandered farther into the garden, admiring the gorgeous flowers and attempting to forget about everything going on around me. I sighed and decided it was time to return inside and meet Athena; I've grown so attached to her that I can only sleep better in her arms. I was headed towards the pack building when I heard a bomb detonate. The ground trembled, and I staggered; I tilted my head to see what was going on; I strained my ear and heard the cry of war approaching. My eyes opened in surprise; I hadn't anticipated being attacked. "There is a war approaching, everyone should get ready for a battle," I yelled to the pack members over the mind link as I dashed toward the pack house. I ran up the stai

Andrea’s POV When I saw the crest in Athena's hand, the blood on my face drained and I turned pale. The same crest that Alpha Gideon and I have worked so hard to obtain is now sitting on Athena's hand. I always assumed the crest was something tangible, not realizing that was not the case. When alpha Daniel and Athena exited the courtroom, I tried to rise but my body felt weak as I reflected on everything I had gone through to reach where I am now. I finally pulled myself up and began walking to my room; I can't let Athena and Alpha Daniel gain control of the army; I've sacrificed so much for this, and I'm not going to let it go easily. I slumped on my bed and I entered my room. * I couldn't sleep all night because I was tossing and turning in my bed, and the only time I tried to sleep, I had a terrifying dream about Athena killing me. At the first roasting crow, I got out of bed and decided to take a bath. I finished bathing and dressed in all black because I was still grie

Daniel’s POV Fear gripped me right away. I couldn't trust anyone, let alone a stranger when Athena spoke to me over the pack's mind link. As a result, I was instantly bothered. "What's the matter with you? You went quiet?" Alpha Andrew inquired, and I sighed. "Athena just spoke to me through the mind link; she said a man approached her and asked to speak to her and me," I replied, and they both narrowed their eyes. "Who is that man?"Alpha Andrew inquired. "She doesn't know him," I said. “I think it’s best if we go over and meet her immediately, we can’t be too sure of anything, you know” Beta Carl stated "He is right, we should go meet her right away," Alpha Andrew stated as we all stood up. We walked out of the house and encountered Athena, who was standing beside her with a man whose face I had never seen before. I was taken aback when he referenced the war and claimed to be Elder Ryker's son. I moved in closer to him. "Do you know the gravity of punishment you will re

Athena’s POV The car stopped in front of the pack building, and we both got out. We went inside, and I noticed Alpha Andrew and Edna, who seemed anxious when they saw us, and they approached us. "How did it go?"Alpha Andrew inquired hurriedly. “Exactly like I had thought, Andrea and an elder were blatantly refusing what I had said, but the rest wanted to comply” Alpha Daniel answered. "That elder must be gaining something from whatever is going on," Alpha Andrew responded. “Of course, it’s obvious but it’s not a problem to me, I am going to put them in their places like I have always done” Alpha Daniel answered. "I believe you, you should rest because you appear tired and Athena too,” Alpha Andrew said, and I nodded at what he said. “Yes, we will do that” Alpha Daniel replied, and we walked away from them. I went back to my room and sighed lying on the bed, I heard a knock on the door before the door was pushed open, Miriam came in with Evan, and my face broke into a smi

Daniel’s POV “The crest?” Elder Ryker asked and I smirked. He must have thought he was smart, but he wasn’t smart enough. Murmurs erupted in the hall as people were busy saying different things, no one had seen the crest for long, and it would be surprising if they saw it. “As I had said, Evelyn talked to us regarding everything that had happened in the pack, she told us Alpha Gideon wasn’t her real mate, he bewitched her to believe he was, just to get the alpha title when he finally succeeded, he killed her father and poisoned her every day after locking her up and lied to the world she was dead, he poisoned her and tortured her just to have his hands on the crest because that was the only way he would have full control over the pack’s army,” I said and the murmurs increased. My gaze was drawn to Andrea and Lucas, who were shivering. They appeared afraid, and I chuckled; I would give anything to see them look that way every day. "How sure are we that you're telling the truth? Sho

Athena’s POV I sighed as I looked out my window. I wasn't mentally prepared for the journey ahead of us; Alpha Daniel had sent a letter to Andrea, alerting her of our presence in the pack. The door swung open, and I turned to see Alpha Daniel enter the room. When he saw me, his face burst into a smile, and I swallowed when I noticed the black shirt he was wearing; Alpha Daniel looks nice in anything, but he always looks hot in this specific shirt. "Are you trying to seduce me?"I inquired, and he chuckled as he moved closer to me, wrapping his hands around my waist. I exhaled, resting on him. “I don’t mind seducing you over and over again if that makes you give me another child” Alpha Daniel replied and I chuckled. “You talk about babies too much, don’t you think?” I raise my brows at him. “I want a baby from you Athena, I want to see every stage of pregnancy in you” he murmured and slowly kissed my ear, I closed my eyes and wrapped my hand around his neck.
