WARD

"Sylvia?" I ask in confusion and Sylvia's eyes widen in shock as she looks at me. It is clear that neither one of us were expecting the other one to be at my parents house.

We were expecting Sylvia to return but I did not think that she would be so bold to show up in the middle of Lycan City. As I look at the woman that is standing in front of me it makes me more confused than I was before. Sylvia is standing in front of me in tattered clothes. There are scrapes and burns all over her body.

My mother comes rushing to my side and gasps out loudly when she sees Sylvia. "My dear child. What happened to you?"

Grabbing Sylvia by the arm my mother drags her into our home. But I am not fooled by the act that Sylvia is putting on. "No," I growl. "She must go directly to the King and the Queen."

Sylvia's eyes become wide with fear. "Please," she begs of me. "I didn't know what they had planned. I would have never taken her if I knew. I escaped to help you."
