“That’s the thing Jane,” he said. “The will is missing. Someone stole it or maybe it’s here and I can’t find it. They’re your parents. I was thinking you would know where it is. And besides, why don’t you trust me? The life you’re living now I gave it to you. I made you what you are.”

“Okay!” he yelled. My threats were beginning to get to him. “I’m sorry. But I really need your help with this. If you can help me work through this that would be very helpful.”

I also thought deeply about this. Maybe he was telling the truth, but he was still my parents' killer. Did I need to believe whatever he would say? That was very wrong to do considering what he had done.
