Jane’s POV

“Wait!” The man squealed, halting me from dropping the call. Who did he think he was?

“What do you want, Sullivan? I’ve got things to do.”

The man was taken aback by the way I called his name. I had never done that before and it was shocking him to his bones.

“I don’t know why you’re mad at me but I haven’t done anything to deserve this,” he said. “I gave you a wonderful life. I even had you married to an alpha. You haven’t thanked me for that. How could you be so cruel to treat me this way after all I have done for you?”

“I don’t care about you or your thoughts,” I said in anger. Was he guilt tripping me? Because if he was then it wasn’t going to work. “I’m a busy woman and I need my time for myself. So tell me what you want and let me know what I can help you with.”
